Superb video Tom, big job doing that on your own. I take it the boiler went ok on the 1 pipe.
I never went back so I assume it was all Ok, thanks for the support

Tough day that on your own, well done Tom, outstanding
Thanks for the support as always mate 👍
Hey Tom, thanks for that new, interesting video.
to slide out the boiler without damaging the Laminate, put 2 strips (500 x 200mm) of an old carpet under the boiler, (fluffy side down) then you can slide it out easy without problems.
Greetings from Switzerland
Alex
Thanks for the support Alex, I will give that a go next time, glad you enjoyed the video
Nobody ever said it would be easy Tom lol 😂, cracking vid Tom
It could be my new catch phrase, thanks for watching as always mate 👍
As always Tom, fantastic video 😎👍
Thanks for the support as always PB
Hi Tom
Only recently discovered your video’s. I think they are excellent. I work on oil and it’s great to see some detailed videos on this subject. This is pretty unique content and you should be applauded for it. Hope to see more oil related stuff!
Thanks for watching mate, I like to try and mix the content up on the channel to keep things as interesting as possible, I don't film or upload every job I do as I wouldn't have time but I will certainly try to get some more oil stuff on here
@@PlumbLikeTom Thanks Tom. Really enjoy your stuff.
Hi Tom, another great film there mate thank you, you are a busy lad you appear never to stop.
I worked on oil burners some years ago with my dad, I don’t do any oil these days.
Glad you have plenty work to keep you busy, don’t forget to take some rest you don’t want burn out.
I look forward to the next film, take care and look after yourself Tom, 🍻👍👍👍
Thanks for the support as always Chris, its very busy at the minute, I will take a few days off when things slow down
Thanks for this video Tom, very informative. Appreciate you taking the time to show the installation 👏👏
Thanks for the support as always Andy 👍
Very nice work Tom a good match with the brick work 👍👍
Thanks for the support as always mate, they looked Ok, it's tough to get an exact match, if you get really lucky sometimes you find a few bricks down the garden
Great job Tom as always mate ,take it easy don't burn yourself out it can happen very easily to us plumbers
Thanks for the support as always mate, I've suffered in the past, I feel Ok at the minute because I'm enjoying the jobs
Big day that Tom. Looks a grand job in the end though. You’ve been working too hard though mate so be sure to book a holiday for yourself before you burn out.
Thanks for the support as always mate, I will take a few days off when it quietens down, I'm enjoying work at the minute though so it doesn't feel so bad
Hi tom you need to turn the kbb so the button is underneath . Great tidy job
Fair point mate, thanks for the support as always
Really good video, reason i am watching is sick of oil boiler installers saying they will come to quote then dont or come and never hear from again, or come back with a quote that is way over. I know I am realistic with the costs of things and a quote over 10k to replace an existing oil boiler !!! the boiler was a Worcester Bosch 18/25 is not realistic. I am good and adaptable at doing most jobs ive built extensions, glazed extension wiring circuits with check by qualified electrician. So ive watched and know I could install an oil boiler its a pain because i do other business. My question is really to comply do you know if it's possible to fit and have the boiler installation checked to be compliant with the current regulations or is it just a case of trying to find an oil boiler installer in North Yorkshire. You have a really good well laid out channel as well Tom
Thanks for the support David, if I'm honest oil is one of them area's where the regulations are vague, I know plumbers who don't have there oftec who work on oil boilers. The regs only state you must be qualified to commission the boiler. They do need setting up when first fired as the settings will be out and they can soot badly. In therory you could fit it yourself and try to find someone to set it up for you.
@@PlumbLikeTom Thanks Tom that interesting
Good job dude love your oil vids keep em up
Thanks for watching mate, glad you enjoyed
Great job mate
Thanks for watching mate
another good video Tom very tidy work m8t..👌👌
Thanks for the support as always mate, it is greatly appreciated 👍
I’ve been enjoying your videos Tom..as a gas engineer of 33 years myself may I offer you a little advice..you need to start looking after your hands more you’ll thank me down the line
Couldn’t agree more. Been in the gas/oil/heating industry 32 years now and started to wear gloves 18 months ago; best thing I did.
Thanks for the support mate, I do probably need to start wearing gloves, it's a bad habit not wearing them
It’s called a Tiger loop, because the oil line goes underground then back up to the boiler
No
Never easy on your own Tom. Done a grant combi last week in a tight space. Customer was being a pain. We always fit grant boilers. Not a fan now they’ve removed some aav. Combis air lock every time are are a pain to clear. Don’t you get too hat wearing that cap 🥵 regards Keith
Thanks for the support Keith, the oil comb's are a nightmare to handle, I fit a few Grant's but it seems that most of my customers want Worcester, I'm happy to fit which ever really, it does get a bit warm in the cap, I've actually put my winter one back on as it's been cold and miserable the last few weeks
You would find it really helpful to buy yourself a grabo vacum lifter.
Invaluble for moving old boilers, washing machines, woodburners etc.
I've not heard of them before, I will have a look, thanks for watching Paul 👍
The Return pipe was common one time to stop airlocks and foam in the burner. A tiger loop does exactly the same thing .
It was possibly added because of previous problems with the tank positioning.
Thanks for the info mate, I hadn't seen one done like that before, thanks for watching 👍
Interesting, nice to watch someone working ! Just wondered why the Camray boiler was replaced ?
It was just the customers choice, the burner was a bit of a mess and I believe it broke down a few times last winter, sometimes people just want piece of mind and this one will be a little bit more efficient, thanks for watching as always mate
Great content as per Tom, you made that look easy! How many times did you bang your head on that worktop though?👍🏻😂
A fair few times I think, it might knock a bit of sense into me, thanks for watching as always mate
Tom Again good content. You really need to get someone to give you a lift on your jobs you will suffer when you get older. 👍😂
I know mate, I'm a bit short on staff at the minute, everyone is busy which is good, these aren't to bad but the oil combis I do struggle with, thanks for watching as always 👍
Looked great when done Tom, a bit of a struggle on your own though, keep the vids coming, but try and have a break, can’t work all the time. Take care 👍🚽
Thanks for the support as always mate
Great video Tom I've been fitting oil boilers for the last 25yrs I fit grant boilers not to keen on Worcester oil boilers I can give a 10 year warranty on grant boilers
Thanks for the support mate, I do like Grant boilers, I get a fair few enquiries through from the find a installer bit on Worcesters website, it's a bit hard to then persuade the customer to have a Grant boiler
Ime on the grant installer site and I get a few from that as a g1 plus engineer
Hi, great video. I have had this boiler installed. I thought I could feel water travelling up the condensate pipe when the washing machine was draining. Just wondering, with a condensate pipe attached to a washing machine and sink drainage. Do you need to do anything to prevent backflow into the boiler . Apologies if it is a silly question
You shouldn't need anything, I would be very surprised if it would ever cause an issue to the boiler and is standard practice. It may be the waste pipe is slightly blocked and it is pushing a bit back up the condense pipe when the washingmachine is draining. You can get check valves to install on condense lines, but it's not something you would fit as standard on this boiler. I would keep an eye on it, but I would be surprised if it would ever cause a real problem
Thanks so much, really appreciate your opinion and thanks for your excellent videos
Who`s Tom ??? 🤣 👍👍
Thanks for the support as always mate 👍
Nice job there Tom looked far better than when you started, what do you use on the oil line compression to seal It ?
I use heldtite, I know some people don't like it because it makes the joints difficult to get apart, it never leaks though, thanks for watching as always mate 👍
Dont use anyyhing apart from a liner in pipe, never had an oil compression leak dry ever
Can those boilers not be fitted on a combined vent and feed ? If so you could of just removed the vent completely.
It probably would have worked to do that, my only worry sometimes with combining the feed in with the vent is that if it ever freezes, this one was well lagged though, thanks for watching mate
Another good video Tom. Do you ever use Grant boilers
I do like Grant boilers, I probably only fit around 5 of so a year, I get a fair few customers from the find an installer on Worcesters website, that's why some jobs are Worcester boilers, thanks for watching as always mate 👍
Hello we have got old house with boiler in cella 44kw with a liner up chimney
Can you recommend a boiler we have to keep same flue no where else to put one
Cheers
The only option you really have will to to re-line the chimney with a flue liner from the manufacturer of the boiler you choose, it's not too bad a job to do, all oil boilers on the market today should have an option for this type of flue system. The existing liner will likely not be suitable for condensing boilers and as such will require replacing.
🤘😎🤘
Thanks for the support as always Wayne 👍
Old camray as well
Good boilers to be fair, thanks for watching as always mate
@@PlumbLikeTom when i was a service and repair engineer at worcester had a few on my patch probably still purring away now
Jesus whats going on with that return leg, just fit a tigerloop if its got problems.😂😂
I couldn't understand why it had been done like that, thanks for watching as always 👍
Was it coming off return on oil pump
@@Purebeltersteve It was but there was a check valve on it as well pointing back into the pump
@@PlumbLikeTom god, some people are crazy lol
Sorry it’s oil
