In this video I make an arrangement with elements from my farmers market. I use foliage, flowers, fruit and vegetables. I even borrowed a bushel basket to hold my vase. This is a design challenge for my online community, FlowerMore. Each month I make a inspo video for members to flex their design skills. We then share and talk about what we made. It's dope.
For this themed arrangement I use a variety of herbs for my foliage including sage, rosemary, flowering oregano and lemon verbena. For flowers, I'm going with a lot of yellows, whites and some red highlights. I use rudbeckia 'Henry Eislers,' marigolds, cosmos, celosia. The amaranth changes up the color with a dark red. Pink and yellow dahlias are my focal.
The basket, herbs and bushy full design style give this arrangement a farmers market feel. But, to really show off the growers' produce I stick in some fruits and vegetables: donut peach, mushrooms and elderberries.
