His Tig welds are pretty good. It's easy to get nice color with stainless, the harder part is consistency to keep it uniform looking.

The reason those flex pipe gave you problems is because you need to use flex bellows that's like an accordion inside and out with no mesh.

Yall should try to build some fixture plates for each flange and tie all of them together with beefy tube. a lot of pre heat will also help minimize warping.

You were talking about the flex section going bad. I know bellows are more expensive, but they are really worth it. My hotside is easy to install and works really good.
Putting an on3 on my built Modular now. Saw from your video instead of stuffing in an oil filter relocation sandwich plate that looks to close to the manifold you all mentioned there is a kit to make it fit slimmer to the block.

What would help will out with minimalizing movement is if he ran an inch of weld in one spot and moved to another spot and did an inch of weld and move around to minimize the heat transfer. I work with a primeweld Tig welder myself. Back purging helps with movement keeping it cool on the inside.

When welding, thin stuff like that, try to move around weld one side, then hop to the other side. That way the heat can be spread out and not all in one spot.

There's no exhaust running through the truck though... only intercooler pipe.

We have an order on the way for all the upgraded suspension/steering parts. If it breaks that bad it'll definitely be on film though 😅, and shortly after get an 8.8

Why don’t you buy the motion raceworks hotside cast wastegate joints and run it off the hotside and just run the wastegate dump out the hood.
The dump ain't the problem. The motion wastgate merge would put the gate to close to the plastic valve cover and possibly even put the hood. The dump is one thing. The whole gate is another. We contemplated it for a few but room wasn't on our side. We've use the motion merge before on the hemi neon it's a nice piece.
