I love the image of your first mission. A bunch of maniac throwing grenades at everything that moves, sprinting up to aliens and spraying them down at point blank range.
I really wish my work computer would respond as quickly as the UI does in this game. Hell, even 25% of that responsiveness would be damn sweet. When my boss asks me why Im not producing more results I low key wanna show him this video.
Very, VERY impressive! It took me months to win this game on level 2 back in the day, and here you just go and smoke it at level 5 in a little over 10 minutes!! I bow to your skill. Now do Xenonauts this fast!
Insane to see someone take a game that I like play slow and to take my time time with in order to get the full atmospheric experience and ABSOLUTELY BLAST THROUGH IT. Very imrpessive.
I scored -500 or less in both March and April which results in an immediate Game Over but the intention was to prompt an Alien (Floater) Retaliation mission. This occurs 20% of the time after each successful dogfight but attempt 642 was unsuccessful.
@@willbobsled This is one of the reasons I prefer x-com 3 to 1 and 2. When you low score in 3 you merely get defunded. but you can carry on funded by your own manufacturing and arms trade..
OpenXCom is the best way to experience X-Com. I tried this on DOS and the constant menuing was excruciating. The game changes to Beginner difficulty after the first mission which defeats the purpose of a Superhuman run, also Alien Retaliations are 5x less likely to occur as a result. At least we'd be able to bring 4 Hovertanks/Plasma to Cydonia by using the Zero Unit Manufacturing Exploit.
openXcom is very faithful to original, but makes really handy tweaks to it and fixes quite many bugs from original. I wouldn't urge anyone to play the very original after playing openXcom.
@hanskrieger4299 I suppose so. I kinda get it, but just can't understand why anyone would like to get into that repetition position. It would get old for me very quickly. Maybe it needs some form of adhd mindset.
@@jothain It's not impossible this could be the case who knows. Im an asperger and I definitely can see the appeal of reaching nigh total perfection, which to me really is what speedruns are ultimately about. On the other hand I often like to get the exact perfect result I want by playing super slow and thinking about stuff extremely much, so that's kinda the opposite way of doing it, but still about that perfection, as I see it anyway.
@@CrazyGaming-ig6qq That indeed makes sense. I suppose it's just one form of perfection. To me it would make more sense to achieve like maximum score, but then again maybe its just if ones mind is in specific kind of an "overdrive" mode, maybe it's somehow easier / more satisfying to clock things. Would be interesting to hear more from people who do these kinds of vids.
Not sure what xcom you're talking about, but you have to research every weapon and item before you can use it. You even have to research ammunition seperately. Just in case you missed it due to the speed he's clicking through the windows.
The aliens bit off more than they could chew, the whole human retaliation taking less than half a year (in-game)
my favorite part of losing the game isn't so much the aliens, it's everyone else giving up.

I love UFO speedruns. It is so far detached from how normal people usually play these games
This breaks my brain. I can barely setup my first Skyranger gear set in the time it took them to invade your base.
Super impressive. I’ve never seen a speedrun of this game and was amazed by your strategy. Congrats on a solid PB
Wow, that was insane! Congrats! 😃

It's basically if X-Com was staffed by suicide bombers.
That base defence was truly a stunning performance!

It's that old efficient dos code Unlike all the bloat we have now on windows and mac
YOU PICK THE WRONG PLANET FOOLS!
Damn, that was a CRAZY! Your menu navigation skills are insane, I couldn't even keep up with it. 😂 Congrats on the run! 👍
Pretty close to that 11-something I thought you had by accident. Absolutely godlike
Awesome! I spend more time on the first mission :D
Huh. I always assumed the troops would need power armour on Mars
Those were power pajamas

The Dos version has a bug that resets the difficulty to the easiest after saving and loading, so it is possible you played it on that without knowing.

This is one of the most entertaining play through I’ve ever witness🎉
Amazing, well done
amazing run, will!
Meanwhile alien brain still researching mutons
Pretty amazing - props!
Wow, incredible result!
nice moves dude.
Good stuff 🤩
thanks!
omg its amazing
It interesting how soldiers walks on Mars without space suits. I wish it could be more realistic if they make it happens wearing power or flying suits
*lights a cigar* welcome to Earth 😎
Insane
From the top :)
Did you deliberately throw the previous run?

That was a big gamble you made, and you made it on 643!@@willbobsled

Great. Now, repeat with X-PirateZ mod
This is what the game feels like on superhuman for normal players.
Sometimes too fast is a problem
Can't understand what's going on
Wow
Lol, so many tanks.
Im confused
:O
This is not X-Com. It may use the graphics of the original game but the game logic has nothing to do with it.

lol xcom should really have technology tree, not just immediately get what had been found
