It's an Audiopipe TXX-BD2-12 and the Carver amp running it is rated at 200 watts/per channel. It moves and sound pretty good even though the sub is rated at 1500 watts.

Maybe at some point in the past Soundstream was a good company but since they were taken over by Epsilon Electronics, the quality has suffered. Every single soundstream product me and my friends have bought within the past 2 years have failed. I even bought their high priced high end X3 4 channel amp and after a few months while playing at normal listening levels, it started to smoke.

A speaker cant "get too old". No electronics get damaged over time. And when it comes to speakers, one of the only things that can get damaged are the coils, but they are almost the easiest part to replace, so dont come here and call them "old and damaged" cause they are not, you are only destroying perfectly usable speakers for views and money, this is a waste of resources and energy in almost every way.
