I've did this for fun with an old QSC MX1500 but you have to be careful, put a 2 ohms resistor in serie with the speakers because when they short out, it can damage the amplifier.
I believe you learned that the hard way

I recognize that 2nd woofer (wavy cone looking one) it looks to be an 8" Sony subwoofer.
Not sure if there were others that looked like that but I have one laying around still as well as the amp. The box was trashed when I tried to remove the amp guts for use on another sub. That amp had a shelf filter boosting the bass under 30Hz I think. Would unload wildly under 20Hz or around there very easily.
The amp works great on a low tuned sun with that shelf filter giving a nice boost on the lows.

Because that’s a small speaker, typically used to make mid to high pitch sounds and the main blowing part of the song is the bass which the speaker can’t really make so it lasts long
Size doesn't matter, _you_ should know that.
Because smaller speakers are less powerful.

@@Fixxate They give them way more power than they could handle. Having that much power going into the speakers breaks them eventually and playing Ali-A intro literally fries everything on the board and wiring .

It doesn't seem like 500-700rms to me the fact he couldn't blow the reasonably sized speaker, I doubt he was getting more than 80-100wrms, most amps these days are massively overrated. And often only give out peak numbers which are realistically only hit for 1/100th or a second or so until the capacitors drain

??? You can hear that it doesn't play high pitch. If there was an low pass filter, there would be nothing, some bass but that is it. But most of these were junk. If he tries something, Hifonics Zeus with that amplifier, the amp will burn.

@@shimes424 i need to check that amp, 1 ohm, not really gonna happen, maybe 2X2 bridge with stabilizer, after the sound, that guy can throw the amp info, if im right or not. Anyway, you can cook a amplifier, Yamaha, JBL, doesnt matter, if you push too hard, the high performance transistors will get down, sooner than later. We build our own amplifiers in school, we got many casualities, so i think i got an idea what im talking about.

I recognize some of those speakers and they are pretty good speakers for pc/desktops.
Also speakers can easily be fixed if you know what you're doing because I really don't like it when good or even working speakers get fried.
