thank you, please keep making more of these contrast hacks videos. this is the perfect blend of styles for me, painting is more fun now. much appreciated!
Wait a sec, do those trolls have gills under their armpits? I never noticed that before. I like the color scheme and especially the green skin. You did a lot of detail work on this one Mr. Matt, although it's a little too much for me when it comes to army painting. I would have definitely broken out the drybrush on those scales. You are definitely a more patient man than I. Thanks for the video, great quality as always.
I'm not sure if they are gills, but that would be fitting for river trolls! Yeah I would probably drybrush them too if I had more than a couple to paint, its definitely time consuming!
Your guess is as good as mine! A lot of the paints have odd names. Maybe it's intended as the final highlight color over a black basecoat, since it's a "Layer" paint?
Trolls are one of best things about the WHFB world! Thanks for sharing this!
I agree HTM they really are!

Thanks for watching! I'll keep them coming. It has been a fun format to work with.
These trolls look amazing. I love the bright colors and would like to see other schemes as well. I think armies look better with variations.
Thanks! Yeah I agree, I like lots of variety too.
Great job as always. Trolls have a ton of character to them, so making them all different is pretty fitting if you ask me 👍
Yeah that's a good point! Each one is unique
This is simply something incredible...
🥺
You painted this model so quickly and so expressively and beautifully.
Thank you for your video.
😀👍
Thanks for watching and for the kind words!

Great video, and the trolls look great! They are inspiring me to get mine painted up!

Thanks for this Matt, quality content as always and super helpful for my own endeavours
Some copper scales or a koi carp colourinng would be very interesting ;)
Thanks Chris! Glad to hear its helpful.
Koi coloring would be a lot of fun to paint. Great idea!
Awesome work! Really crisp and clean
Thank you!
More trolls, and Gobbo's. Love it.
one of my favorites to paint! Thanks for watching!
I’m gonna be working on some O&G quite soon so this will come in handy. Thanks, Matt!!!
Happy to help! Good luck on all those O&Gs!

Thanks for watching! That's what I'm leaning towards too

Gorgeous. I've got a dozen of Avatars of War's river trolls to paint so will be pinching some tips.
Awesome! Sounds like a lot of fun. Good luck painting them!
Awesome paint job once again! I'm definitely going to use this on my own River Trolls 🙂
Sounds great! Hope you enjoy painting them.

Strange that the Stormvermin Fur paint is a grey color even though stormvermin have black or dark brown fur in the lore

They'll also be river trolls to me, never fellwater troggoths :D
I agree!
