If you haven't yet thrown it out, make an angle bracket for the front out of steel or aluminum that bolts in so the metal takes the beating and not the wood at a place where its weakest thanks to grain. Oh, and drill a bunch of speed holes to lighten up the chassis. She'll fly then.
LOL! Make as many wooden pieces you have time for… lol!! Wood screws for your battery strap hold down… Imagine battling it out then looking and seeing the opponent running a wooden car. LMAO… this is funnny AF to me.
Wow, youtube auto deleted my comment even though I broke up the link so you could try to fix it and get to the site detailing wood strength and whatnot. GFYS youtube. Anyway Jason, you got a place I can DM you the link instead?
Great project brother. I'll be racing my mid motor bandit on Sunday at RC Excitement. It's a new layout with a fresh surface. Should be interesting. I'll go live on my Bobby Lane fb page or on bandit nation..
Well, quite funny to see it actually did work for a while. But also proved that it didn't hold up en car didn't get faster or better... Now a hybrid plywood epoxy chassis or is this experiment a closed chapter?
This a great project and it ran extremely well. I enjoyed watching. I am a senior citizen. When were kids we would go to the ball field and after the junior college baseball team finished practice. They would leave their cracked and broken bats in the garage can. I would take them to my grandfather, who was a wood worker. He would glue the bats and may be put a screw in them and they lasted for months. Woodrow could live again.
Can you really waste time when you're talking about playing with toy cars?
Nope!!!!!!!
When rob martin grabbed your car and made some adjustments, that’s how all sponsored drivers should be. Good on him
Definitely not a waste of time made for some good viewing you’ve only done what lots of others has thought about
The man, the myth, the legend,
THE ROB MARTIN!
That low CG weight is actually working. You may be on to something here🤔

You should check the weight difference between the original buggy and the wooden one
If only made the chassis slightly longer you could have mounted the battery on the centerline.
The hollow wood fibers work like a Stradivarius violin that reverberate Woodrow’s chassis allowing him to bend space time.
That was awesome! I think Woodrow should live on the wall like a trophy going forward!
It's still awesome.
Interesting project, it went well. Notsaying you should, but CNC wood routing is a thing....
Build a new Woodrow. Woodrow II, and use it on outdoor dirt. I dare you.
Do you double dare me?
@mxacres double dog dare my friend.

TLR 2X4 5.0....Oak Edition......😎👍
Wonder if you can have someone make a mold from you chassis!
Best video yet!
Man just dove tail it and glue it back together😂😂😂😂😂
This is great. You could made a new stronger one by laminating the chassis, like a skateboard is made. cheers
You should try to make a chassis using a skateboard deck. They are pretty tough.
Love Woodrow! Pretty impressed with it running so well mhm
The rolling 2x4 kinda slow my friend.
Try wood from a Ochroma pyramidale or Balsa Tree ....
now we need a pro driver to run it and prove they can drive faster then most of us regular drivers with a wooden plank.
Oh man the ending had me rolling 😂 perfect execution 👌
Elmer can fix that would😂
Sweet 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
The Yodermo 1822. ROFFLLLLL
Cool to see something different
You didn't listen to what I told you to do 😢
You can just hear that thing going "woooooden, woooooden!" lol!

NICE! Good luck with it

I may have something on the bench🤷♂️

I love it. Thank you
wood glue will work
Fair play to you
Very cool
drive with the grain drive with the grain. 😆
😂
To be fair, I did this to my old b4 factory chassis
And how did it turn out?
pinochio rc car :) or woodspeed?
ok its named woodrow i see.
Just buy the 7 you cheap skate.
Anyone can do that
Sheets of veneer and carbon fibre could be made into a chassis like they make skateboards... ..
