BMW X7 2019 - Does size really matter?

  • BMW's X7 will perfectly suit luxury SUV buyers wanting to 'go large.
INTERESTED IN THIS VEHICLE...GET IN TOUCH HERE www.osv.ltd.uk...
BMW's X7 classily meets the needs of wealthy buyers wanting a super-luxury large SUV and needing to seat up to seven adults. It's essentially a super-sized X5, but it makes far more of a pavement statement and inside, feels very high-end indeed. If you don't much care what the neighbours think - or perhaps even if you do - then you'd probably quite like one.
    Background
Not every new car these days is designed with a specific eye on European buyers. Take this one, the BMW X7, an enormous luxury seven-seat SUV primarily aimed at customers in America, the Middle East, China and various Asian markets. But BMW thinks better-heeled buyers with larger families here might like one too.
You can specify a third seating row on the brand's smaller X5 but the extra pews are for kids only. Here, seven adults can fit more comfortably in a car that BMW hopes will make a really big statement.
    Driving Experience
The brand wants you to think of this as a 7 Series that could go off road, rather than a larger X5. But it does share most with that SUV, including all its engines - there are three. Diesel-haters will want the minority-interest xDrive40i variant with its 335hp in-line six cylinder petrol unit but most will select the 261hp xDrive30d with its six cylinder diesel. Another six cylinder diesel is found in the flagship M50d, this one with no fewer than four turbochargers boosting output to 394hp. All units use the same familiar 8-speed ZF auto gearbox and, as you'd expect at this level of the market, feature full air suspension.
Tellingly, the 'Off Road Package' that provides a locking differential and extra driving modes is only optional. The driver can adjust the body's ground clearance for off-road driving by pushing a button in the cockpit to raise it in two stages up to 40mm above the standard setting. Tarmac is of course this SUV's preferred habitat where it rides with suppleness in 'Comfort' mode and handles with actually quite a lot of verve if you set the 'Drive Performance Controller' to 'Sport'. The commanding driving position helps and it's necessary because otherwise, this car's sheer bulk might easily feel intimidating on narrower roads.

John Mcc benz LOL. That in itself says it all. This X7 could be just perfect for you. The joke is, this will be leased on a PCP deal by most buyers. Thats why cars like this dont impress me for one second. I was driving a new 325i in 1991, paid for in FULL by cheque. £27,000 from Benham BMW in Stockport. Thats how its done :).The roads in the UK today are filled with arrogant drivers, all trying to outdo each other and show off in cars they dont actually own. I see them every day, smug look on their face, looking round to see who is watching. What a sad society we live in. A nation of image obsessed attention seekers. People were so much nicer to each other 30 years ago. Maybe im getting old but I really dont care what others think of the car im driving, and its Japanese now, at least its reliable unlike BMW. Take a look at the JD dependability report for 2019. Guess where BMW is. Down at the bottom.

Simon George Sooo If it doesn’t bother you why even commenting!! and for your info pretty much most of German cars are leases especially BENZ and that crap depreciate more than anything else and besides why are you grudge full of what people drives. U should focus on u and what u can afford. Definitely Japanese cars would fit anyone budget. Don’t hate.

They are not as reliable as people think, and when they do go wrong the parts and labour costs at dealers are a joke. 99% of BMWs are leased and traded in after three years when warranty has run out. Ownership after that is a big risk.

Large BMWs look too brash in my opinion. Too aggressive looking, expensive yet somehow manage to have a low class image at the same time. Ive driven loads over the last 30 years, lost count and although well made I dont rate any of them these days. The brand has evolved from something that was desirable and driven by classy buyers to a hideous lease car company that anyone can afford. A BMW is not a sign of wealth anymore yet people get them on PCP finance and drive about as if they are in something exclusive, showing off to anyone who they think is interested. For the record the BMWs I had were paid for in full by cheque. I wont drive something that is too common on the roads now.
