What's next for Kirk Cousins?
Broncos
Bills
This was truly a BAFFLING move. Why would they give up all that they gave up for a QB who is older and WORSE than the one they already had? Plus, they HAD the leverage in this deal...we all knew Smith wasn't staying in KC.
Talked about this on my channel today.
Jets
First Things First: Cris Carter and Nick Wright hopefully he gets paid and moves to a Super Bowl winning team like Jacksonville. By god that man needs to get out of Synder land.
Watching this in 2023 is crazy
2024 hahaha
I like Alex Smith a lot. He plays smart and has a great arm. Idk why people have a problem with him. He plays with what they give him. The offensive coordinator is who manages the offense not Alex. He does everything well.
I agree. I think a lot of these people who seem happy Alex is gone are going to be very disappointed next year. Everyone wants to rag on Alex Smith not doing well in the playoffs. Alex Smith did not let the Colts make a come back after he built a lead. Alex Smith did not choose to go conservative with play calling and let the Titans make a comeback after he built a lead. He is a great football player and a great all around person. I wish him well and I am ashamed of other Chiefs fans celebrating him being gone when he helped pull Kansas City out of the garbage it was for the decade prior to his arrival.
Ron C yea, o don't really get it. He put the Chiefs back on the map. Gave them a fighting chance.
manuel meza Honestly, I've always liked Alex Smith. He had a rocky road in his first five years, but once the 2011 season came, he got it together. He's been good, ever since.
1Dub79 you guys are getting a good QB.
manuel meza He has a average arm not a great arm.
Back after Mahomes' third ring. I will make a tradition of revisiting these videos after every one of Patrick Mahomes' milestone.
Alex Smith is the most underappreciated guy in the NFL. He threw 1 less TD, 8 less picks, only 51 yards less, had a greater Yards per Attempt and a much better QBR and QB Rating than Cousins. Nicks making it seem like the Chiefs are moving on from Brock Osweiler. Alex went to a team that was 2-14 and led us to five winning seasons, 4 playoff appearances and in that last playoff game he threw 3TDs, then Andy Reid started play calling conservatively. In the end its a lateral move that saves the Redskins money.
KC will end up like the 49ers did after he left. This repeats over and over and over again, and the fans are too short-sighted to see it.
He should’ve had 5+ TDs. Tyreek Hill showed up with butter fingers.
Can you imagine if even half of those drops were caught? They'd easily be up another score if not more. My dad and I were like... REALLY?
Four division titles as well.
well said
Man this aged perfectly
And it just keeps getting better 😂 3peat on the way 👀👀
Even more perfectly now
It's funny when you go back in time, read comments, and realize nobody considered Andy Reid an offensive genius at this point, and nobody thought the offense was 'stacked'.
They added a new QB and these narratives appeared to diminish his accomplishments.
Yep announcers during games can't WAIT to attribute every big play to Andy Reid's "genius". Funny how he was considered of slightly above average intelligence when Alex Smith and Donovan McNabb were his QB's.......
@@BookClubDisaster😂 facts
"The Eagles have a franchise quarterback!".
Carson Wentz.
LOL.
Alex Smith>>>Kirk Cousin>>>Andy Dalton
Alex Smith had 26 TDs to 5 Ints this year. Idk what you're bitching about Nick. You realize he threw 3 TDs in that playoff game, right? You can't ask for a QB to do more than what he did.
George Mason you realize he didn’t score a single point in the second half of that playoff game too?
You realize the titans had the ball for 23 min of the 2nd half he lost his TE they missed a FG and his receivers must of dropped at least 7 catches.Alex didn't lose us that game our D was getting destroyed.
King Forte You realize he does not call the plays right? He also did not tell the defense to let the Titans walk all over them. Some people are just so stupid. Will not give credit to Alex for any of the good he does but will literally try and pin every fault in a game on him, even when there were obviously other things happening beyond his control.
And this is only time that Alex Smith has had a great season. There is no way he can repeat that! Let the Mahomes era began and lets get some pieces on d-fense
George Mason exactly
Alex smith ranked first in deep ball accuracy . And made the probowl while going to the playoffs . He had his best year .
da'ved velazquez for ONE year. Stop. Just stop. Alex was ranked dead last in passes attempted and completed beyond the 15 yards before 2017. So stop
Alex couldn't get it down field was the problem , yea he had one great year but let's be honest , the others all small check downs . Had speed like tyreek on outside and couldn't get it down there to him, that's exactly why we went after mahomes and his arm and let him sit behind alex a year
Alex Smith is a great guy who did a lot of good in KC. I felt horrible when he suffered such a horrible injury as a Redskin. That being said, looking back at this in 2020 after the Chiefs won Super Bowl LIV with Mahomes, the Chiefs definitely made the right decision.
This is weird to watch 3 and a half years later, knowing Alex is going to shatter his leg. I felt so bad for him, and was so happy when he returned. It sucks his injury basically forced him to retire.
Also seeing Mahomes lead the Chiefs to 3 AFC Championship games, 2 Super Bowls, and one championship in 3 years is crazy. The WORST the kid has done is losing the AFC Championship game (because of an offsides call and a coin flip).
Sleep on Alex Smith again. Smh. Not a Andy Reid decision. 94 mil though. Good 4 U. Finally got that check book, now all u got to do is have fun and play your game. Maybe u can learn a couple tips from Brady before he's done
😂 It definitely was an Andy decision. The best of his career in fact. Look at how the world views him now
that a nice looking contract extension right there boy i need that in my life
They all missed the point and this is coming from an eagles fan. The redskins tried multiple times to lock up kirk cousins with a long term deal. He wouldn't do it so it became clear to them he wasn't going to be there long term so they did what they could to lock up a qb that wanted a deal from them. Kirk cousins is to blame not the skins management
Really Now You forget Kirk Cousins said he would love to be a Redskin his whole career?
King Forte ikr. He wanted to be paid his worth. Washington was cheap
He's not that good pay him all that money for what he hasn't proven to be that guy
But, why give Smith a 4 year extension with 71 million guaranteed? 2 years maybe as a stopgap and draft a qb Gruden wants.
What better option do you have honestly think about what pick you have this season. Alex Smith isn't great but he's a good solid starting qb. I'm not a fan of how much he got in that contract
nick doesnt understand that cousins turns the ball over at the worst possible times. obviously he just looks at his numbers and hasnt actually watched the games.
also doesn't understand cousins is gonna end up getting a contract with 155$ million guaranteed.. and hes saying they are the same qb. so paying 70$million more for the same qb is good according to nick.
I'm a Chiefs fan and I'm so excited yet so nervous all at the same time.
Pat R felt the same way when Wentz became the starter, good luck
I feel better about Wentz. Mahomes may throw 30 TDs but could throw 25 INTs
Trading Alex Smith doesn't fix our habit of creating stupid/unnecessary penalties, our inability to find reliable replacements to make up for the production of injured players _(e.g., the Pats won the Super Bowl without Gronk last year; and they've made it to another one without Edelman),_ our inability to make coaching adjustments at half time, our defense's ability to play hard for a full 60 minutes, and etc. Alex Smith succeeded here in spite of all of the obvious problems around him. Mahomes will have to deal with the same problems. And, he (like Smith) won't win a playoff game until our fundamental problems are fixed. Trading Smith is like putting a bandaid on your arm to cure a headache.
Same!!!
Pat R true but hopefully our D can help his TO’s
No excuses for Andy Reid now
Dylan Iehl Yep
Dylan Iehl uhh his QB has never started an NFL game soooo
CallMeDoctor96 He played the last game of the regular season
dj3THOUSAND completely meaningless
CallMeDoctor96 It was his choice to put himself in that situation
Alex got his money. Not mad at him at all.
*I am not a Chiefs fan at all, I'm a Raiders fan, but this Nick Wright says Alex Smith is not as good as Cousins. Based on what criteria? Much respect for Smith as a competitor.*
J.Grudan is not the GM he didn't make this trade
People hated on Alex Smith. He improved that team ten fold. They had horrible QBs before he came along.
solaydbak and we thank him for being part of the rebuild effort. But he was not the answer. Patrick is. Hate on that
Nick's logic is always backed by facts; stats; and dollars. I don't always agree with him but I hardly ever can't see his logic.
Jenna is underrated, she is actually really HOT!!!
Alex outplayed Kirk, Wentz and Brady... and you're still hating? How about Alex Smith was the highest rated passer, doesn't give the ball to the other team. The guy was 16TDs and 9 games deep into the season before he threw a pick. Alex is gonna be great for 5 to 6 more years and IS CURRENTLY BETTER THAN KIRK. Grass is always greener man. There is a large part the Chiefs Kingdom that doesn't deserve a great QB... because they don't appreciated him when they have him. I remember fans hating on Trent Green his first season in KC, calling him TrINT, when half of his picks were of receivers hands. The Chiefs were coming off 2-14 when KC traded for Alex. He walks in the door they go 11-5, didn't have a losing season, went to the playoffs 4 out of 5 years, won a playoff game for the first time since Montana and won back to back AFC West titles... for the first time ever!?! That's what winning in the NFL looks like Nick! 31 teams lose every year. All we did was win with Alex, heck, we beat both of the teams that are in the Super Bowl. But for a Knile Davis fumble, KC under Smith has owned the Patriots two out of the last three games. The Knile fumble in the playoffs led to a single score loss. The other two games? 40 Burger beat down wins by the Chiefs ... and we showed him the door. I'm glad Alex got paid and I wish him well. I'm a huge fan of Pat "Magic Mahomes, but what are KC fans gonna do if he throws 10 interceptions and we don't go to the playoffs next year? I'm off the mind that this could be a Bledsoe to Brady-esque transition, talented vet leaving to allow a young star to shine... but if he didn't shine bright right away, what then Chiefs "fans"? Our fan base needs a reality check... and people, like yourself, who say "they are glad Alex Smith is gone"... y'all aren't paying attention. #LetsGoMahomes #GunsUp #GoChiefs
Smith is LEADER also. Proven. He isn't as loud as some in the league but, he leads. That is tough to find and then you find it and cast it off like the Chiefs did!?!?!?! SMH. And your right. If we miss playoffs this year Mahomes will be cursed as much as Andy. Chiefs fans. It is tough being one when they boo winners over the years.
I agree with you Distillo. You read my mind. Hopefully Mahomes can fit into Smith's shoes.
Danilo Di Julio I couldn’t have said it better myself.
We in Washington like him already
Now that Sean Lee broke his hand the Cavs are finished
CallMeDoctor96 I know!!!! That defense just can't get off the basketball field when Sean Lee isn't there to rebound them touchdowns in the post.
CallMeDoctor96 --- You need a Doctor...
I am proud to say Nick’s take has actually aged well! For once
How many QB's go bust, Alex smith is a winner he wins games. I hope Homes is a great QB but i wanted to develop behind a winner like Smith
Julio Englasis I agree, they should have let that kid learn at least another year behind Alex.
TheWhiteWhale yes as a Niners fan I know a lot about Alex, and you are right as well. The Redskins traded for almost an identical copy of Cousin's and it will take them nowhere. I hope Pat is as good as I think he will be, but it might have helped to let him sit another year... Just my opinion..
TheWhiteWhale he wins games, he protects the ball. If we had a better defense we would be in tge superbowl this year.
Jay Gruden is hands down the most overrated coach in the league. Dude can’t play call his way out of a phone booth
Blue Irish hail mary/verticals
Lmao. That's all i got 😂
Thank ive been saying this since he was in cincy as an OC
Addyston Tucker Ray YES THANK YOU. I have had to watch every play he has called for the last 3-4 years. He sucks.
Blue Irish 4 verts, halfback stretch/dive/power/counter/zone/trap/draw, Read option, RPO Tight end seam just a couple
And your extensive experience as an NFL head coach is what makes you qualified to say this?
Please Football Gods, please, let Denver take Kirk Cousins!!
Kyle Skerjanec I'm definitely sure you're prayers will be answered, Kirk Cousin's will be a Denver Broncos this upcoming season.
Kyle Skerjanec As a Chiefs fan this would be my least favorite scenario. Rather see him helping turn around the Browns, lol.
mabebaby1, guess so!!
Lmao shout out to all the people who said trading Alex Smith was a mistake.
I loved Alex but he isn't the problem in KC and as much as I like Mahommes and totally expect another wave of positivity to wash over KC we will still have the same defense, offensive line and head coach. So even if PM becomes the greatest of all time next year we will still have Andy Reid in the playoffs. Mr control freak will have to call the plays and self destruct in the playoffs. Hopefully, Mahommes will still be in one piece after next season after he throws 20 interceptions and suffers 2 concussions while he grows up at QB.
damm you watch football bro? cuz the trade includes kendall fuller who was the best slot revier in football this ws mentioned in the vid now you hve peters kendall and eric berry in the secondary plus 17 million saved from alex smith deal so they can invest even more in the defense.
One player does not fix the D problem in KC. ESPECIALLY ONE ROOKIE. C'mon. I hope I'm wrong, but as a Chiefs fan, I am prepared for the next few years of less than mediocrity. #ThanksObama
Plus, ppl aren't thinking about this..now that are secondary is stacked with Peters, fuller, and berry coming back..we will be able to rush the qb alot more. This season houston was having to drop back into coverage so much it was ridiculous. Now with him being able to pass rush, its gonna help our defense tremendously. Our rushing defense needs to also improve.. We really need to focus on our O-line now tho, and maybe try and add another sure handed receiver to go along with our other explosive receivers.
According to Pro Football Focus Alex Smith had the slowest velocity on his passes of all recordings and his receivers on average had the greatest separation before targets .
His arm is not their on he can't throw he's cerebral but his arm talent is bad
as a former Eagles fan turned KC fan (1989 - thank you Derrick Thomas for converting me) I still have a soft spot for the Eagles and watch most of there games, so all that being said, you are 10000000000% corect with Andy Reid, one of the best regular season coaches to walk the earth - horrible playoff coach........ (so far, he has time to change my mind) I loved Alex too, but he was never going to get full chief fan respect even if he made it to & lost in the SB. This is a very smart move by trading him now - great cover corner and a player to be named coming back, saved 17 mil to address other issues bigger question: Why do they allow Dan S. to own a team? He is at it again, approving completely foolish moves. again, I like Alex but 71 mil g. to any mid-30's non-super bowl winning qb is nuts!!!
Andy “Can’t manage a Lead” Reid has no excuses now!?!
Please fire Andy so my cowboys can pick him up..
So true, Andy Reid has been plagued by bad decision making in playoff games his entire career. He out thinks himself and gets into trouble, and had a tendency to get pass happy when things get rough. It's weird, because I do think he is a very good offensive coach and has great schemes and plays, but struggles when it comes to big games.
@@chrish931 and that's why the chiefs won the super bowl
@@sebastiankash2221 thats why they won 3 in 5 years LMAOOOOOOOOO. these guys are so funny
Anyone ever notice how when Kareem Hunt went cold during the season, so did Alex? It’s because Alex is a game manager, not a franchise QB. Check down Alex got by with Hunt, Hill and Kelce. Anyone who watches football knows that
If the Chiefs can't run the ball, Alex's numbers go in the tank. He is not capable of carrying a team.
Anthony Stone Exactly
cousins can't win clutch games when they're handed to him. If you watch the skins every Sunday, anyone would know that too. We'll see how things turn out.
Cousins to the Jags would be a nastyy deal
Jared Crasten yes but they don't have the Cap space to aquire him.. Kirk Cousin's is going to the Denver Broncos..
Rhoads Matheson Arizona or Buffalo could be another good landing spot
Jared Crasten you are right my friend, I was just going off what I read on Niners Nation. And what John Elway said recently about Cousin's..
Warshington....
Joe NFL 621 stop
Joe NFL 621 same
You can’t even spell it right. YOU HAD ONE JOB
These guys don't know shit😂 the white guy only cares about stats. Cousins can't win big games. I'm a huge skins fan. Smith hasn't had the play callers cousins has had. He played under Kyle shanahan and Sean mcvay
Oh so Alex smith wins big games lol not only that he has worse cast lmao
People act like the chiefs loss to the titans was Alex Smith's faupt but it wasnt that was on the defense..... smith will be fine im D.C but the redskins have to go get him some weapons
Alex Smith played under Andy Reid and 2 offensive coordinators Matt Nagy and Doug Pederson both who went on to be head coaches.
wins beats stats anyday everyone keeps talking stats with Kirk
Carter is my favorite player ever
Jay Gruden never wanted him as his QB lol this guy Nick need to stop talking about sports Im a true Skins fan. Jay Gruden never wanted RG3 as his QB but he always wanted Kirk and always had Cousins back and talked great about him when RG3 was there Jay Gruden constantly talked bad about him. Cousins isn’t worth the money he wants I rather Alex Smith
Spoken like a true Skins fan, because I couldn't grammatically understand your last sentence.
I think the problem was letting Pierre garçon, desean Jackson and Sean mcvay go.
mathias doe lol you say Kirk isn’t worth the money i know for fact that Alex isn’t worth 71 million guaranteed
Well said matthias. Disagree sl millions. I am a KC Chiefs fan. Quarterbacks are worth exactly what the owners are willing to pay for them. Their value is usually spot on correct. QB is the most valuable position and AS was a pro bowler on the open market who was #1 in passer rating. #1 in yds per attempt. #1 in regular season winning % over the last four seasons. Wow. How much is that worth? Especially considering you save tens of millions per year on AS vs. KC
I think the overall takeaway is that Jay Gruden will always seemingly hate his quarterbacks.
lol Cris Carter cannot help but interrupt when someone else is talking. Its very annoying
Sebastian Randolph he shares a panel with idiots
Plus, ppl aren't thinking about this..now that are secondary is stacked with Peters, fuller, and berry coming back..we will be able to rush the qb alot more. This season houston was having to drop back into coverage so much it was ridiculous. Now with him being able to pass rush, its gonna help our defense tremendously. Our rushing defense needs to also improve.. We really need to focus on our O-line now tho, and maybe try and add another sure handed receiver to go along with our other explosive receivers.
I'm a Redskins fan and think that this is a BAD DEAL. It's not because I dislike Smith or think we should have kept Kirk. One of the reasons given by the Redskins front office was that we paid less for Smith so we have more cap room. If that was a big issue, then why not name McCoy as your starter? No, he's not as good as Smith but Smith is how old? I don't buy that at the age of 33 Smith has 4 or 5 years left in him. But it's what we gave up to get Smith and what we have to pay him that I don't like.
Thank you Jenna. Thank you so much. Just keep sitting there and looking pretty.
RGIII was not a bust. He was just injury ridden
Who is here after mahomes is mvp super bowl winner and super bowl mvp
God bless Alex Smith. I'm happy for him getting a new gig and contract! Always has been a class act here! The Chiefs just needed to go in another direction after the recent playoff dissapoinrment. I wish him well, but now it's time for the Mahomes era in Kc!
Oladele Olawaiye good luck with that I don’t see could be wrong but don’t hold your breathe son
Mahomes era!
Alex smith is an upgrade from kirk cousins.
Southwest Curry no he’s not
😂
King Forte he is lol
Southwest Curry Kirk is way better .... I would believe Kirk can take a team to the super bowl before Alex does
Not even close
Good move for the Skins. It's a reason why the Skins moved on. Cousins had better stats because of the playcalling.
*Cleveland should DEFINITELY trade that pick for Cousins and other draft picks. I think Cousins is better than any of those QB's will be.*
Creux you realize cousins is a free agent, and you cant trade for him...
As a Skins fan, I've been focused all day on what might seem like a minor point: I think midseason next year, the Skins are going to be really missing Kendall Fuller. I think they just lost one of the upcoming DBs in the league in Fuller, and, unless they draft a superstar DB, it's going to show.
Cousin is a choke artist in red zone
People don’t realize if the chiefs had a better defense alex might have two sb rings right now. This year wasnt alex’s fault , neither was the colts debacle? If you go up 20+ points in a playoff game the offense did its job. Losing a 20+ point lead means the defense fell apart.
I loved this move then. I love this move now. Thank you Alex for helping us get out of the cellar. But you didn’t have what it took to make us great
Yes Andy bears responsibility
But what do you all think now?
Even if we tank in the first game. That only proves that Andy is the only man that can slow down Patrick. We are now an exciting team. A team and a QB to be feared
I’ve yet to see one of you so called know it allá apologize
The force is strong with this one
Obie Wan Mahomie
All you chiefs fans have short term memory before Alex Smith you guys had a horrible run, the last memorable era was priest holmes, Dante hall. Alex Smith made your team relative along with a few other pieces. His play has been way better then alot of quarter backs
Chiefs will go from not winning in January to not being in January at all
That's fine with me. I rather not make the playoffs than being one and done every year!
Anyone who would rather not make the playoffs, than make it and lose in the playoffs, is not a true fan. You want your team to play as many games as possible. And as many meaningful games as possible. Win or lose.
I'm a true fan since the 90's. Chiefs haven't won a home playoff game since Joe Montana! I'm tired of being one and done!
JamesDunagan769931 you're Broncos will get Kirk Cousin's, which is way better than you have now. So congratulations on the upgrade!
JamesDunagan769931 Alex Smith was nothing more than a scape goat for KC
I’m thrilled he’s the Washington QB. Hope he takes them to the playoffs.
We knew we couldn’t sign Kirk so Alex Smith was the next best option.
No mention of the cards?
Typical Andy Reid. Doing a core dump. To divert from his bad playoff performance.
2 years later, do you feel like a total idiot?
Be careful what you wish for.
If kirk cousins was n e good, theyd be in the playoffs
ROGER AGUILAR their defense is terrible and non of their offensive players can stay healthy so what are you talking about
ROGER AGUILAR Because Blake bortles is good huh
Man rg3 took them and kirk is not a good QB, aaron Rodgers, drew brees, and elite quarterbacks get it done. I'm a skins fan and alex maybe 1-4 in playoffs and his defense blew it not him.
The Bills or the Broncos are getting Kirk Cousins.
They have good defenses. Bills have a run game. Broncos have good wide outs.
So that's the place to go imo.
Unless the jags or some real contender is ready to part ways with their QB.
If Steve Porter ever does a remix on Alex Smith...... 3:50 of this video could be a good place to start. 😂 *A A Alex Smith* 😂
Kirk to Jaguars would be awesome to see
Fernando Chavez yeah but they just gave bortles a contract. Kirk is going to denver
Paul Love you're right he is going to Denver, and I don't believe Jacksonville had the Cap space to aquire Cousin's anyway...
I've never undestood why Smith is criticized so much. When they called him a game manager it was due to play calling. This year when the offense opened up, he was really good and then Reid started going back to dink and dunk, so Smith did too. Smith is accurate, can scramble and can handle complicated offenses. I wish hi well
The biggest question is where does Kirk Cousins go? His biggest suitors are the Browns, Jets, Jaguars, Bills, Cardinals, and Broncos... where does he land? My guess is either Cleveland or the Jaguars.
PTRS 45 Arizona.
James Bayly I’d say either Browns or Jaguars, I think the Cardinals are going to sign Sam Bradford.
You want numbers, AX7 is the 3rd most winningest QB behind Russel Wilson n Tom Brady, wheres cousins wins at
The young lady often makes the most sense at times.
What's up, Nick Wright. I'm an old "friend" from KC during the time you were on 610 Sports radio here. You still owe me lunch, by the way. It was an old bet we made about a MU Tigers' O-lineman that the Chiefs drafted awhile back. You bet me that he would be starting for the Chiefs, and you lost. Funny thing is, I don't even remember the guy's name. LOL!
Anyway, you were spot on with this Alex Smith deal. It was a terrible trade for the Redskins, and I've said so since the day the news broke. Smith is a good dude, and I wish him well, but he was NEVER a good QB in KC. He has/had no shot to be any better in Washington. Chiefs took the Skins to the shed on this one.
Keep up the good work, my guy.
Why does Chris Carter refer to Jay Gruden as being the one who was responsible for not signing Cousins? Gruden probably had no say in this decision what so ever....This was Bruce Allen all over it.
In 2016 Kirk had Pierre garçon, de Sean Jackson, and Jordan reed health most of the year tho
As a Redskins fan I'll tell you guys in a year if it was a good trade or not because I honestly just can't tell...Also I was the biggest Kirk Cousins supporter
A great QB and a great man. Alex Smith
They forgot this was a move to sure up the QB position. Redskins publically announced they offered Cousins a long-term deal and he didn't take it. Cousins was smart in getting the most money for himself by taking the franchise tag each year and put up good numbers to drive his price up. This was a business move on the redskins part to not put all their money in one basket because they have other needs besides the QB position. I think it's an ok move on both parties. Cousins gets a lot of money, Skins got a stable QB for less to address other needs on the team.
Alex Smith lost in the nfc championship game vs ny giants cause kenny Williams son fumble twice kapernick and Smith went to the Superbowl kapernick Smith nfc championship game I say Alex a better qb Kirk is good
People forget that PH. Alex Smith proved he could win in the playoffs.
Kyle Williams
KC is going to crumble with Mahomes. 49ers 2.0
I doubt it! He's got Hunt, Kelce, and Hill. He gave Albert Wilson his first career day in yards!
Agreed David. History repeats itself.
You guys have never watched Mahomes played.
David Tostenson Yeah...nah..
@TheWhiteWhale Ya how sad it is to have the next up GOAT!!!Q
Alex Smith is a winner. His TD to interception ratio in the playoffs is amazing. It’s not his fault that the colts and Titans in the playoffs won the games.
I liked Alex Smith, but I think the bigger issue was Andy Reid. As for Alex Smith, from the CHIEFS to the REDSKINS. Think about that one for a minute.
Watching this now before the season starts. Wow, there we go something I can agree on. I remember very well that Smith lost out to kaepernick on the 49ers squad. I also think the Cheifs had a rather decent team and the redskins well they were not known for much beyond Cousins.
I totally understand and agree with everything Washington has done. Alex Smith is gonna keep Washington in the playoffs and possibly more if they build this team the right way. I actually think Jay's a better passing coach then Andy Reid and can get more from Smith then Cousins. Also they're building a good Defense in Washington too. Keep in mind that Smith signed for way less then Philly and Dallas and even N.Y will eventually have to pay their Quarterbacks in the future so I love the moves made by Washington. Also I watched the game films over and over again and Smith is a much better Quarterback then Cousins will be in Minnesota.
Good ole Virginia Tech Hokie Kendall Fuller.
I'd sure to have cousins , he's waaaaaay better than all 3 of my QB's combined! - Broncos
man what a difference a year makes WOW
Alex wasn’t the problem with the Chiefs and Kirk turns the ball over in the worst times. As a skins fans the worst part of this was giving up Kendall Fuller
Washington should've signed Nick
I don't even know how you can complain about having a quarter back like Alex Smith
They never talk about how many interceptions Kirk throws
Cousins should come to MN
Watch him take the Redskins to a superbowl lmfao
Say what you wanna say 70million guaranteed 🤧 Alex is winning
You know how it felt CC With Ryan letting you go because “all you catch is touchdowns” then you flourish somewhere else 🤔
I'll say this if Alex Smith was on that Washington offense that had a healthy Jordan Reed, Pierre Garcon and Desean Jackson he would have even better numbers than Kirk.
People need to stop talking only about stats. What is Kirk's record as a starter over the past 3 seasons? 24-23-1. Over the past 5 seasons in KC, Alex Smith was 50-26-0. Smith took the Chiefs to the playoffs 4 times in 5 years, and won a playoff game. In 3 seasons with the Redskins, Cousins took them to the playoffs once, and lost a home game to Green Bay. Smith was also 38-36-1 as a starter in San Francisco. While there, he took the 49ers to the NFC Championship game! San Francisco's best receiver that season was Michael Crabtree. He's not close to as good as Desean Jackson and Pierre Garcon. I'd rather have Alex Smith!
Sean Lee is the savior for both teams!!
OMFG!!!! Redskins going to the Superbowl!!!!!!
Someone buy them tickets?
Massachusetts Sports Central Yes sir!! ⚡
Lol
I think at the end of next year, the patriots should make a play for Alex Smith to be the backup and heir to the Patriots, if you look at the show, that showed you behind the scenes of his life, he really wants it, 2 years with Brady and the patriots learning the system when Brady 44-45 Smith can take over.
As a raider fan I hate you for this Andy Reid. One reason was I really wanted to see Derek Carr finally beat you (a. Smith) on the road. Another reason is because denver will most likely nabb up Kirk cousins and then be able to draft the best player available at 5th overall... which could become saquon Barkley or Bradley chubb... etc... instead of drafting a over hyped qb prospect... Andy Reid just made it even more difficult even for his own chiefs team to win the division.
Chris Fisher you could be right but I see Washington tag him and try and trade him it might be a long process this way I just see Washington sticking it to him one more time witch means Denver will not have anything to trade for kirk 5th pick won't be enough Denver needs everything they have right now they add a QB in free agency playoffs easy but I don't see kirk making it to free agency Washington can't let him just walk without compensation
I hate Nick Wright.
