To be honest after Kreutzer, my teacher kind of sent me straight to the caprices... I never really played Rode and Dont, so I'm pretty excited to try out these 2 books. I'll try to do a conclusion video at the end of this series and gather my thoughts on the whole process. I realized a lot of things that I missed that would have helped me growing up
@@SanTheViolinDude i have talked about dont op.37, the "easy dont", it's preparatory to kreutzer. dont op.35 is the hard one, after kreutzer. but you haven't studied this one too? the transition from kreutzer to paganini was hard for you or manageable?
@@ElsweyrDiego I know if the books you were talking about, but I didn't go through them with my teacher. It was not a smooth transition let's just put it at that😅. He was too ambitious and overestimated my ability, in hindsight I shouldn't have skipped Rode or Dont, it would have made the Paganini caprices a little easier
what i like to do is add the Paganini caprice n.5 original bowing in every moto-perpetuo style study including this one. (similar to variation 24) so maybe when i reach the Caprice itself it will become easier? 😅 (also, i always know the bowing as Saltato, or Ricochet, both in kreutzer and paganini. bowing name are never a true consensus in the violin world!
@@ElsweyrDiego ya ha ha if you do that, by the time you get to number 5 you'll be more than ready

u should play it more lightly, your bow is too heavy, you will get tired very easily, but it does not yield good sounds to come. Differentiate the beating more properly, at the moment strong beats are not differentiated well.
I love seeing this! Keep it up!

basically this serves as a substitute for Sevcik op.3? if you want you can add those variations on this kreutzer too
@@ElsweyrDiego yes, very versatile exercise.

Thank you, I'll keep practicing
Op doesn't know what he's talking about. Technique is very good and your recordings are excellent teaching/reference material.
@@sabujpattanayek8799 thank you, but yes it's true my sound is something I have to continue to work on, also I need to change my bow hair😅
