The IG-88 statue has a fake right arm holding a gun. But when awakened its clearly his left arm that is missing. What happened to Mando's blaster being able to blowing a giant hole through his head?
A better question would be why it defaulted back to the "kill the merchandise hook" programming when Old Man Wrinkle Face said that headshot Mando gave it (somehow) removed the killer programming from its body
There’s so much to pick apart here. 1 - why the hell would anyone NEED and IG for a mission that wasn’t assassination. 2 - why does mando need this IG model - it was his “friend”? They barely knew each other and for half that time it tried to kill him. 3 - if an IG can be rebuilt after self destruct, what good is self destruct in the first place? 4 - why the hell would anyone put up a statue of the IG? Most people had no idea what went down with Din and IG and Grogu. This episode hurt my head to watch.
Better proposition for the helmet writing; “… you are now a Mandalorian. As such, you have cast away your weakened self. Your helmet is your new identity and will forever be a part of your future. If anyone sees your face they will only see your past, as well as your weakness. Therefore, you must never allow anyone to see you without your helmet. This is the way.” Granted, it could be better worded, but essentially the idea of “my face is my weakness, but my helmet is the strength of a mandalorian.” This meaning could also be an important detail for when Mando showed Grogu his face. By taking his helmet off to say goodbye to his surrogate son, he shows grogu the weakness that the child has brought out in him. His souls is no longer hardened by the ruthless life of a mandalorian, and grogu gets to see who he was and will forever be to him.
The crocodile literally appears out of a portal. Its so large that its still sitting in that inlet like the entire fight but now its apparently shallow enough that it lays ontop of it.
IG-88 activated its self-destruct which was designed specifically so that he could not be recovered by someone while standing in molten lava and somehow he's just missing a few easily-replaceable parts.
I'd never picked up on the JFK homage painting above Zap's bed before. Shows used to be so rich that they regularly included throw away jokes in scenes. In comparison to the mindless crap bereft of any creative spark that we're expected to sit through today.
