Well done Adam, horror stories of owners refusing to refund deposits, i moved twice both times i with held the equivalent of the rent money to cover the return of the deposit with no problem from the owners.
I rember when I moved out of my first condo in Thailand to upgrade to a nicer bigger and less expensive place. Yes I was to quick to move into my first one and didnt shop around enough. They tried to keep half of my deposit after I moved out, $500. Basically trying to charge me for the damage that was there when I moved in. To my advantage the couple that were my landlords crossed there wires and he sent me pictures of the damage I supposedly caused not realizing that they were the pictures I gave them to show the current damage when I moved in. Then his wife argued with him in front of me and said, thank you for taking good care of our property and she handed me my $1,000 in U.S. bills, exactly what I gave them. Actually while I lived there I repaired any damage the tennant before me did and I painted the entire unit on my dime.
Most people don't bother to put in the effort to clean and refurbish the apartment or home back to its original state. You went above and beyond what most people would do, which is why the result ended positively for you. Grats on closing one chapter of your journey on a good note...and onto the next chapter! 👍
Man, I cleaned my condo myself and when they come to look they said It might cost 500 baht cleaning fee, fine.. Ended up having to pay 1800baht for cleaning cost when only 1 small thing had to be cleaned the shower bar. Agencies will try and take your deposit for sure as much as possible crazy how you got it fully back! The most funny fact is 4 months before I moved out I told them to replace the AC gas (which they didn't), they wanted to try to charge me for that when I moved out. AC Gas is valid for 5-10 years and my AC's were fucking clogged with dust man it was growing centimeters outside of the filters 😂😂 P.s. nice how you solved the AC fan outcome wall well done!
Rented 6 places and never had an issue getting bond back. Current bond is 150k and got a funny feeling about this one. I always leave the place cleaner than I found it and pay rent a week early. There are a few things falling apart and have photographed and sent to landlord who always replies - will fix when you leave! I’m out next Feb. You are a model tenant and you might be surprised how dirty most people leave their place.
When I moved out from my condo in Bangkok , I made sure I took pictures once it was cleaned and back to original order and send it to the agent , they came , they saw and gave me my deposit back , happy days .
I moved to Thailand with 2 suitcases, one medium and one small, a small hold-all and a backpack. That’s all I still have. I move to a new condo next week and it took me about 45-minutes to pack my stuff up 😂 me thinks you need a declutter 😊
Hey mate ! Long time no interaction haha……. Loved ya video the other day on jobs in Thailand and what not. I’m back next June / July !! Be around please ! Haha COOKIE ……. beers on me ! 🍺🤘🏼
Ayy bro, im gonna be in Bangkok on Thursday for the next 45 days or so. It'd be awesome to meet up and chill, I'd buy you lunch and a beer but I know you're a busy guy, just throwing it out there ✌
We are worried about this ourselves. We have prepaid our rent as well as a deposit and when meter reader man gave us the electricity slip other day it appeared obvious that the landlord had not paid their bill for some months making us wonder if they have spent our deposit and won't have it to return to us.
Awesome outcome. I have heard it is best to rent through a property manager because you rarely get your deposit back, but it looks you had great owners. But, with the time you spent, was it worth it? How many hours did you spend and could you have made more money if you walked away and spent the time making more videos? Many people don't put enough value on their time.
I've recently left a UK rental, they tried to charge me £100 because of toilet that needed a wipe. It'd be professionally cleaned 3 days before I left and honestly, it was a few pee splash backs.
I rented a Condo in Bangkok and the agent ended up stealing the rent payments for 3 months. I came home to my fingerprint not working and my door code changed.
Brother its a nice building any idea if they have other rooms available there for a same size apartment ? How much were you paying per month ? Cheer keis
Just tell them owners, this is were the legend lived, so no problem for you renting back again :D Actually, you could have left the nice wall lights, for next owner, as a Keis one gift :D They can make a pretty penny in booking :D keis flat :D
You will never be able to live back in Australia as a renter after experiencing life under normal rental conditions. Renting in Australia is designed to be as humiliating as possible.
Spending several hours/days of your time trying to get whatever paltry sum your will get in return is a complete waste of your time for the average person. At least for you by filming this you can monetize your efforts.
Haha if I had the camera or not I would have been there, so so actually profiting of the video is a win win.. I can pay someone 1000baht to clean the place or i can do it myself, I’m happy to do it, I like cleaning.. The reward of being given my entire deposit back makes it even sweeter 😊
Your relationship with the landlord paid off,,,, well done Adam,, a clean chapter closing.... on to the next adventure....Drew

Reversing the track gives you a completely different perspective; just remember keep moving forward

Good job brother. Nothing beats a little integrity.!
They will be coming for that deposit back after seeing this video 😅
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I was thinking the same thing.
😂😂

Eventually it all has to Be Reversed 🤔
Awesome!! bit of hard work paid off 🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻😀
Well done Keis!
Way to go Adam, nice job mate 💪 and as always, C Ya in the next one, cheers 👊🍻
Congratulations 🥳 🍻
You are a lucky guy. Getting the deposit back in bkk can be a challenge! Well done.
Lucky you!! 😉🥳🍻
Two thumbs up on the initial wall paper tear replacement/return of torn away piece. Congrats on the great owners.

Respect to Thai's love these people and well done.
So many good times ❤
Congrats , and to new your home 🤗😊👍🎊🎉🏚
Wow - great work.
Did you be sure not to scratch the floor when moving the bed? I was wondering if Blu-tack would have sufficed for some of the things on the wall?
Nice u had normal landlords. But my opinion u we’re a good tenant, got to now landlord. Glad all went well
Yeah I think i was the ideal tenant, always paid rent on time, never asked for anything.. Happy with how it all turned out

Same here…..I travel light for 12 years now. Why does that guy need 10 pairs of shoes & piles of stuff he probably doesn’t use or need.
Nice video, I am planning to move to Thailand maybe next year if everything works right and your videos are very inspiring.
You did well getting it back to what it was. Man it's hard getting deposits back in the Philippines.
Hey mate ! Long time no interaction haha…….

Fantastic 😊
Haha I love the decorative number pins from the ladies. The ol’ “another notch in the belt” for you huh? 🤣🤣🤣
Good Shit mate, Cheers,
🙂
That song as soon as a clicked in 🤤such Casey vibes love it
Good for you....usually you fight for the return of the deposit
Good job i am happy for you 😀
Nice owners you struck gold there.😊

Job well done !!
every one hates moving ! 5555 ........ your a lucky lad , I;ll be waiting on my deposit back in 4 weeks time
Getting them a new tenant was a smart move....
Yeahhh well done :) flat looks like new
I really like your videos

he's making money from the video about it ;)
Where did you get the LED lighting strips?
First impression of the "VS Now" shot: Lots of girls!
Oh, did you change the room too?
How do you get the ceiling led strips so long? @keisone
I've recently left a UK rental, they tried to charge me £100 because of toilet that needed a wipe.
It'd be professionally cleaned 3 days before I left and honestly, it was a few pee splash backs.
At my age I would prefer a single level Place more of a yard in pool versus a three-story but again I'm older
Is this an old video? As you're already in your new place.
The owners were probably overjoyed that they didn't have to send in a crew of cleaners to do a controlled burn like many vacated condos require.
Your room is so cute.
Any tips for soundproofing since you mentioned it?
That only took you a few days? Packing up a place after 3 years seems like it would take weeks, month.
nice
How deposit works in Thailand? Is it tow months of rents?
Yeah that’s typical, sometimes they may ask for more if you negotiate the rent down
I left a small new Ikea drawer in the condo which I bought and the condo owner was not happy and didn't return my full deposit 😅😅😅
I rented a Condo in Bangkok and the agent ended up stealing the rent payments for 3 months. I came home to my fingerprint not working and my door code changed.
Brother its a nice building any idea if they have other rooms available there for a same size apartment ? How much were you paying per month ? Cheer keis
lots of rooms in the building, its The Room Sukhumvit 21.. I think they go for 20-30k these days
That’s a first . No hidden cleaning fee ?
Looks like a 13yo kids room .....
Sounds like someone whose wife decorated their house 🤣
Man, I think that's rare in BKK
Just tell them owners, this is were the legend lived, so no problem for you renting back again :D

Hahaha I like that! I think they were stoked I got them the next Tenant, he was a Subscriber of mine too lol
Click bait title with the battle but I don't blame anyone for using click bait. If I had a youtube channel, I'd sensationalize every video.
Yeah you don't keep track of all the stuff you buy until you move.
good for you, hopefully you go back to your "good vibes" only content
How much rent per month?
I got it cheap during Covid, they go for 25-30K now :)
What's the name of that condo complex?
The room Sukhumvit 21
I have the exact same knife from Lazada 😂
im not even going to try, ive got 6 years so far, to much work, not worth it.
Already moving again?
@@tobyk8125 Your right ill review it. 😎
@@tobyk8125 I understand now

I'm guessing this vid was held back until it was in your account 🤣
Yep!! haha

Complete rubbish that is spewed forth by broke arse Bogans.
Do the great memories have anything to do with 0:55?
🤫🤣
Wow the owner is amazing! Do they own other properties? Bye bye crazy Asoke 😂
Dude if you have lived there 3 years they have to expect general wear n tear they will probably re decorate anyway
🤠👌
Instead of buying pointless status symbl shite , maybe invest instead ....... youll be amazed how that goes
Lol I invest a considerable amount each month. Thanks bra 😊
@@keisone sure you do bra bru bro LOL
Wrecked the place
God you have lots of little things.
Just eject stuff the deposit and the junk you accumulated
How much was the deposit? was it worth all the trouble? 🤣🤣🤣
50k Baht.. yeh it was worth it :)

Nah it’s somewhat rewarding for an activity for the day 😊
