This is the best Ba Duan Jin that I have found because the demonstrator is clear in all of her movements. I have taken the class in person and had problems following, and also had trouble following several masters on you tube videos, but with this demonstrator I have no problems following. Also, the background outside is very peaceful and pleasant. Thank you for this video.

There's no such thing as "the best Ba Duan Jin". There are many versions and even more ways of practising them, and every one has its strengths and weaknesses. Everybody has to find out what works best for oneself.

the commentary all adds t o a high quality presentation., for advanced as well as beginner. Warnings are to the point.
The lighting for the back view is unfortunate, the deep shadow hides some of the subtle flow of energy. Too much wind also hampers observation. This is an excellent form. I have followed the wudang form of Li Yuen Fei for several years. this will provide a challenge to some muscle and skeletal alignment. Peace fellow practicioners!

This is a very amazing video, thank you so much. I am wondering though if there are a certain amount of times to do the movements or is following along with the video the complete set? Also, I’m not sure on the breath (when in/when out).

there are many ways to practise this series of exercises, usualy 8 times each one.... i'm not sure about the breathing in this particular technique but as long as the air continues to flow with he less amount of effort and sound it should be ok

      +Oojii
Breathing technique for all Qigong exercises (including baduanjin)
      Breathe in
      When arms rise (Forms 1, 3, 5, 6)
When arms move towards your chest/abdomen (Forms 2, 7)
When arms move out sideways (Form 4)
      When body rises (Forms 5, 6, 8 )
      Breathe out
      When arms fall (Forms 1, 3, 5, 6)
When arms move away from your chest/abdomen (Forms 2, 7)
When arms move back to your sides (Form 4)
When the body falls (Forms 5, 6, 8)
Some forms like 5 and 6 have both body and arms movements, so the breathing should be coordinated accordingly, breathing in when the body rises, breathing out as it falls, and breathing in when the arms rise and out when they fall.

@@rodrigop6302 breathing is same as taichi, only through nose, and it's based on closed movements- breathing in/ open movements- breathing out.

I was tought in China to repeat 3x each form(movement), I see some do 8x, some do just one.

If you experience back pain, you should wait? Wait for what? It's precisely the Ba Duan Jin that helps me with my back pain, where nothing else did! It can be painful, yes, but there's no fixing back pain that is not painful to some degree.
