    Many thanks for this!!!
I reallly like filming places because I want to showcase locations such as Waverley Abbey, Reading and Winchester. It is lovely to see that you took the time to travel to Aldershot. This was probably filmed on a Thursday, as it is Market Day.
@08:00 --> When I was in Aldershot, there were two cranes (the pieces of machinery, as opposed to the birds!!!) behind that wall. I might post what I filmed at some point. A lovely man came up to me because he noticed me filming and we had a great conversation about the cranes.

Hi 4K - As a result of watching your video, I decided to film Aldershot today. I shall upload it soon and it is interesting because there are some substantial differences from when you filmed. Thank you so much because I was so impressed with your video, that I decided to do some filming.

I have sat here for TEN MINUTES absolutely STUNNED at the pro Aldershot comments.I mean are you SERIOUSLY kidding me???. I have lived here all my life so have seen it and still live it. I am also amazed that you cannot actually SMELL the place through your computer/device!. A Few replies...Chris Boyle,"I like the flat i have THERE". does "there" mean you don't actually LIVE here?. Emelemc, "it's CLEAN"...are you out of your mind?. The main street, Union street, is BLACK with filth and grease from years of fast food, the pavements from end to end are stained and revolting.Mark Riley (and the ARMY of nostalgic soldiers) who hold some fantasy about this hole, get down here, LIVE here, EXPERIENCE Aldershot!. The Gorbals themselves would blush at the conditions to be found!.Yellow Ocean, your name sake is to be found flowing down the alleys and gutters when the Pubs turn out or at least it WAS, until the Army got themselves out, leaving entire estates to be "occupied" by..."Diversity" (something neighbouring FARNHAM seems to have avoided (surprise, surprise!!) .Be100%yourself asks about a LACK...YES a LACK of diversity!!!!!!!.I won't commentate on that further but anyone having seen this town will be laughing and rolling on the grease stained streets!.A clue if you still need one, the praisers of Aldershot include..."UK immigration law geek", "yellow ocean", "Shakeel Ahmed" & "Kuchi Kopi" so NO, Aldershot does NOT lack Diversity, unlike the dance troop "Diversity" who are ONLY male, Only Black and only "straight"...it seems!.. Finally, James McCrory. I am genuinely sorry that you and your wife seem to have had problems with the locals but you say you live on the Tongham side of Aldershot. Do you mean Heron Wood or are you actually in Tongham?.Whatever the answer, you failed to tell Lien Tran about the man from London who was STABBED to death in the underpass connecting Tongham to Aldershot last year.Still no court case i note.To end, i will put my pants in a bowl of boiling water (after having pissed and rinsed them!!!)now that i realise how "GENTRIFIED" this place is.Obviously i never realised what "privilege" both my white skin and "gentrified" location affords me!.

8:59 oriental market on the right is probably the best shop in aldershot. Also they've started knocking down the buildings on the left behind the boards.

If you are interested, I did a bit of filming on New Year's of Aldershot. There is also a place called Edgar Jerome, which just celebrated 99 years of trading. Please check this shop out if you are interested in history and/ or like to see unique things. There is a museum on the top floor of this place and I am sure the owner shall be more than happy to show you.

I used to live in this horrible little town. Between 2007 and 2009. Very little to see or do. The only good thing about it was the cheap rent and a station with frequent trains to Guildford or London close by.

Aldershot is a good little town. It's clean, has a military heritage museum which is great, is friendlier than bloody Woking and isn't up itself like Guildford or Godalming.

I see the old fishmongers near the cinema is gone. I have not been back there for decades- you can see the decline since the army has left.
But the surrounding villages are quite nice.

I moved to Aldershot in June 2018.
Town Centre is a bit depressive, but I like the flat that I have there (10 times better than the previous flat I had in Reading).
    Filmed during early 2021 lockdown.

I grew up in Aldershot and my parents did say that it used to be rough because of the military being based here, but my experience personally I thinks its a quiet and peaceful town, everything is convenient and its 50 minutes via train to waterloo. I think it has "gentrified" since my parent's time. Just the town centre is a massive let down, and I am sad the regeneration never happened inside the main town centre.

What's strange is that the pedestrians on the street are nearly all wearing masks.
