i love the cubs and have 7 early narrow frames. you're right they don't ask for much and will still run and work even when neglected.

Nice! I have all the round fender models, and then a mixed bag of wideframe and spreadframes. 14 total.

Impressive for a 50+ year old Cub. Just proves how well built IH made them. I like your 782 in the back ground. I got a 782 I use to plow and disc my garden with.

Personally I’d consider this one to be in great shape. Creeper boxes were far and few maybe 1 out of 20 had creepers the hydro’s took over that market later . But these gear models are so fun to drive feels more like a tractor. Used parts are really high priced now. Thanks! For the video put more out of IH CCadets

I had the same tractor, and International Harvester made some amazing, tractors, trucks when you think of the new tractors now, Vs, the reliable ones like that they are not made anymore, they were made to last a long time.

I enjoyed your video on the 102. I have the same tractor. In the rear transmission housing we have a leak caused by a bolt that broke some threads when tightening the rear housing plate. What is your best advice to prevent the leaking of transmission oil from this damaged thread. I just can't see trying to find and then replace the entire housing over a flaw in a thread that is causing a small oil leak. Was thinking of trying some plumbers tape wrapped around the bolt prior to threading it into the back cover plate.
This 102 has no deck but did receive some factory upgrades; it has the hydraulic lift pump and it works; also has the creeper gear option; and a rear lift that works with the hydraulic pump; and a rear gear drive attachment to attach a rototiller. I think when we removed the rear gear box for the tiller attachment and then re installed the tow plate we may have popped a bolt through a blind threaded hole which may have lead to the oil leak. Removing the gear box permitted the bolts to thread in further when the tow plate was put back on.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks from Ontario, Canada.

Yea you have to use shorter bolts once you take the tiller mount off, but you can simply use a good rtv sealer and put some in the bolt hole and on the bolt then thread it in. I dont see why that wouldnt work fine for you. You will have to drain the oil first ofcourse, then id spray the bolt hole out with brake clean or something that will clean the oil out of it.
