Samurai Jack, even after all these years, remains one of the greatest animated TV shows ever. Hell, I'll even go so far as to say that it gives Avatar a run for its money ;)
And Samurai Jack would eventually pave the way for its prehistoric successor Primal, another equally great show in its own right with a very similar story telling style but with even less words.
Love seeing samurai Jack get some love. This show gave me my love of no dialog scenes and I really wish more media would realize that writing scenes without words isn't just a "challenge" it can be a way to make things feel much deeper and more complex than their concepts would suggest.
The monkey's paw aspect of the well is interesting- and in a slightly subtle nod, you start to wonder if something is wrong with this picture: Look at the black inkiness that melts off the archers- as it retreats back into the well, they take on a slightly familiar shape. Then as the archers tell Jack what happened to them, you could almost hear the proverbial laughter mocking the samurai as he realizes what he needs to do. I can't help but think this is partly how a certain someone got their sick kicks over the course of centuries.
In the final season they actually have these monks show up again and say that Aku poisoned the well. According to them before this point it really was an omnipotent wish granter and obviously Aku couldn't have something that could be used to wish him out of existence so he broke it.
I remember those vikings getting absolutely destroyed as a kid. The lack of talking, mixed with the confusion and sounds and almost funny destruction of the robots by all the arrows... it scared the hell out child me.
a cool detail is during the robot Viking army getting destroyed, a piece of the broken axe falls down into the ground and shot with arrows, an awesome foreshadowing on what's going to happen.
A thing Samurai Jack excels at which I rarely see other series do, is to have a character fail, a set back, this episode was not only a set back and a waste of time for the audience, it was a waste of time for the character yet at the same time, it doesn't feel like a waste of time. Jack is certainly a flaw character, early episodes do show that he is a stubborn and stoically arrogant.
I'm currently watching it right now! It's really good, I stopped 1 third of the was through the series a while back, but I'm watching it during my cardio and I love it!
Thanks for the analysis! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How can I transfer them to Binance?

I don't think they're comparable, as they share nothing but a medium. Each are unmatched in their respective niches.
they’re totally comparable if u ask me. they r both 11 min, episodic, animated classics aimed at kids lmaooo.

The blind archer's designs look almost like rodents so it could be a reference to 3 Blind Mice.

*I love the art of this series* 🎨 I think there are so few series that match the background paintings & the visual storytelling is unmatched

Samurai Jack understood the idea 'you're in animation, show, do not tell.'
Always loved this episode, I found it so cool and atmospheric. I really love this show
Third! This is an awesome episode too, excited to see you branching out with recent videos
I appreciate the attention you give this show, can't wait for more videos :>
Genndy Tartakovsky is a master of his craft. Love the guy's work! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Not only does MAX use the Roman Numeral System when addressing Samurai Jack. When it was on Hulu, it also addressed that way.

One of those episodes that stuck with me forever.

this episode, pun intended, opened my eyes to it's greatness, and just, thoughts and ideas I never had as a young child
“The world ain’t made for the honest man to succeed.” Lol I got that ad at the end. Poor Jack.
I can never decide which episode I love more. This, or Jump Good.
they did this great with jack vs the assassins aswell
2:02 then don't, the plots that work well short keep short and the ones that need more time give them that time.
Samurai Jack is in my top 20 animated cartoon shows from my childhood
I kept falling asleep to this episode when I first watched it

Yet another reason why that show was a masterpiece!
