Hi Dan. The two blades aren’t directly connected to one another. The added length is gained from the blade carrier, more specifically, the distance between where the two blades are bolted on to it.

I was interested until I saw that God awful Kohler Courage engine on it. All they are good for is blowing themselves up.

Dirty ands has goe out of business. There were a lot of problems with the axles bending on this model.
