Yo tenía 8 años en el 81( hoy en día 50 años) y me acababan de comprar el disco doble A live en Tiendas Gigante, pero la verdad nunca supe de ésta presentación en la TV mexicana hasta el día de hoy... saludos!

recuerdo ese día. Yo estaba en la prepa en turno verpertino, y ese día ya no tome mis dos ultimas clases y me regrese a casa para ver el programa. Tenia poco tiempo de haberme declarado Kissmaniaco, y esa fue la primer vez que los conocí en vivo en tv. Gracias, como dice Gene.

En México existio un comic nacional de los autores del Simón Simonazo que sacaron un tiraje especial sobre este grupo al cual le cambiaron un poco el nombre por cuestiones de derecho de autor y se llamaba Chiss, el cual narraba supuestas aventuras del grupo de una manera muy tropicalizada, pero eran fabulosas.
Si lo recuerdo , me conformaria por tener un solo foyeto .
Me facinaba leerlos en ese timpo solo la banda rockera hablaba haci , ahora cualquier punk quiere hablar como rockero .
Todo kissmaniaco llegamos a coleccionar esas revistas ...e incluso había otro tiraje más serio como café y blanco ...ya no era tanto de cotorreo ...

Never seen this before, it's curious for a number of reasons. The Elder costumes yet it's focused on Dynasty & Unmasked and a few classics. Pauls rare star guitar is seen. Ace as always is cool.
Trying to tap into the overseas markets where they hadn’t completely overstayed their welcome! The Elder was DOA in Australia as you know, about the only place they hadn’t wore out their welcome by 81/82 was South America!

Kiss fue a los estudios de Canal 13, a grabar un programa llamado "Aplausos" donde fueron entrevistados por Jimmy Fortson, y en donde también tocaron (playback) "I Was Made for Lovin You" y "Charisma" con los trajes de "The Elder" álbum que estaba a punto de ser editado..

First time I've seen Gene play bass with only his fingers.. and first time seeing Ace tapping with his finger on 'charisma.' I've seen Ace use his pick before, but not finger. And yeah, I know they're not really playing here.. but was interesting to see.
Gene plays bass with his fingers in all the videos: Rock n roll all nite, Cmon & love me, i was made for loving you, Sure know something, Talk to me…. in the makeup era i can’t think of any examples of him using a pick in the video clips

Que suerte tuvo Mexico tenerlos en su esplemdor", aca en Argentina no lo dejaron venir amenazaron de volar el Estadio de Boca con todos adentro" en los 80", su primer concierto pudo ser en 1994 sin maquillaje.
Así es, inclusive creo q se llegaron a vender las entradas para ese concierto q lastimosamente no se llegó a realizar. Pero en 1994 en el Monsters of Rock tuvieron uno de los mejores shows de Kiss por la potencia de esa alineación y gira!!
Esa etapa es la de menos "esplendor", el esplendor de KISS y cuando dominó el mundo fue del '75 al '80, ahí estaban de bajón, por Stanley que quería controlar todo, tal como para Asylum, Crazy Nights y Hot in The Shades, que años más horribles sobretodo visualmente.

Aquí no pudieron dar un concierto en forma por culpa de la censura política y religiosa de ese tiempo, la gente creía que eran s4t4nicos 😂😂 por eso vinieron a dar esta muestra de lo que eran en aquel entonces, pero no se puede con las mentes mediocres de la gente.

In Mexico they were promoting "The Killers", (a compilation album) a mix between "the Elders" and "creatures of the night" but Kiss was very popularly famous for "I was made for to loving you" which is why they sang that song on open television.
So it is not surprising that they sing already known songs, "killers" only has 4 new songs

Ese programa me tocó verlo cuando aún iba a la secundaria. Faltó el video de "A World Without Heroes" del álbum recién estrenado, en ese entonces, "Music From The Elder".
No one will ever accuse KISS of being good lip-syncers.
It was a common practice on Television in the 80s. They realized it was much more cost effective having a band play to Playback on live broadcasts. It also was the management itself who demanded it if the studio equipment wasn`t up to date and their sound engineers wasn`t experienced doing live concert sound mix. There were (and still are) so many things that can go wrong having a band play live on television that it often was better for the band and the broadcasters to do a playback "concert".

Around 35:30 Eric's saying the album's about to be released. Googles saying the album was out in November, so no - tv show is from a couple months before the Elder. It was the Elder promotional trip with Talk to Me with Peter on the drums and pre disco 70s rock Kiss footage...strange for a 55 minute opportunity to feature nothing of 1981 except the look on Aces face and the costumes.
Did they already want to distance themselves from the Elder 2 months before it was released?
Right shame that they didn't stick up for this record - Their weakest moment wasn't this record it was them being so embarressed about this record.
