Simon I have this and even with 3 gentlemen helping me we couldn't get the frame to expand enough to pop the top clip in. It took 50mins to assemble. I am not happy as I need to be able to do this on my own and it's basically impossible it's like it's so tight to move. It need your assistance to help me expand it more?

      Hi Jo,
Sorry to hear that you were having trouble with your Altegra Compact gazebo. We are aware that getting the top locking pins into place can be a challenge, especially with a new gazebo.
A reason for the new gazebo setup tension can be due to the thread weight of the canopy and its snug fit. The roof material is a higher thread weight and, therefore, much more durable than most on the market. The snug fit is designed to maintain a nice taut roof shape which avoids water pooling, reduces wind flap, and also looks great. But a consequence is that it can make it tough to extend before the new material relaxes.
There are a few other checks that can also help relieve undue tension in the final setup step:
      - Check that the frame is unfolded to near complete extension, therefore, so you're only working against canopy material tension.
      - Check that feet aren't catching on the ground, impeding their final extension.
      - Check that the roof centre pole is nestled underneath the central reinforcement point of the roof.
      - Check that each corner of the canopy is well positioned, with the corner stitching meeting at the top of the leg.
      - Check to ensure that the top of the aluminium legs is clean, without stiction that makes them hard to move.
      - Check that none of the fabric is caught in the frame that could interrupt the upward movement.
Hopefully, that helps, and hopefully, you find it easier to set up moving forward. We'll also create a video on this particular topic to help others who might have the same challenge.
If you need more assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us at info@altegra.com.au.
      Kind regards,
      Your Altegra team.

      Hi Sean,
Yes, the Compact 3x3m gazebo's canopy colour is our Royal Blue. There are 7 colours available in our locally stocked 3x3m gazebo range at this point that can be viewed here: www.altegra.com.au/product/pro-lite-compact-3x3m-gazebo/
      Thanks, Sean

So annoying that the music is louder than your voice. Good advice though.

      Hi Heather,
A great point and one that we've taken on board with our newer videos. We're just learning, so will continue trying to get better with both our video shooting skills and the quality of our content. Sorry for the late response, we'll be more active in the future!
      Regards,
      Your Altegra team.

I purchased this and we cannot put it up. We followed your video and it is too high and difficult to click into place even with 2 men doing it so I have no chance of doing it on my own. Waste of money, yes it is compact and it is expensive for a product I cannot use.

      Hi Aimy,
Thank you for taking the time to view the Compact gazebo setup video, and I'm so sorry to hear that you're having challenges setting up your gazebo. Let's explore what might cause your challenge and try to help out here. We also want you to love your product, so we hope to get in touch with you to learn more directly from you.
It is not uncommon for a new Altegra gazebo or marquee to have notable tightness when setting up the frame due to tight tolerances and the highly durable fabric roof/canopy - which is most often a cause of new product tension. That being said, there are many other reasons that can hinder the smooth articulation of your frame during setup. Rest assured, Simon is only 5'9", the frame and canopy in the video are new, and we don't use any CGI in our videos, so the set-up should be as easy as it is in the video.
Here are some key points to check before Step 6: Fixing the upper pull ring into position :
      - Check that the frame is unfolded to near complete extension, so you're only working against canopy material tension.
      - Check that feet aren't catching on the ground/grass, stopping the frame from expanding to its fullest.
      - Check that the roof centre pole is positioned in the middle of the roof fabric.
      - Check that each corner of the canopy is well positioned, with the "T-shaped" corner stitching meeting at the top of the leg.
      - Check to ensure that the legs are clean, removing stickiness between sliding joints and the legs.
      - Check that none of the fabric is caught in the upper frame, interrupting the upward movement.
Our goal is for you to love your product, so we will be in touch personally to find out how we can do more to help.
      Kind regards,
      Your Altegra Team

@@Altegra I do not yet own an Altegra marquee. But I have a lot of market experience with marquees. I might suggest when this marquee is new that you leave the corners of the top cover off a little and pop the frame up, then stretch/roll the corners of the top cover over the frame, once it has been used a few times and has stretched a little you may not need to do that any longer. I do see the issue the user might be having because you have to fully extend the lower sections of the legs which means it would take strength to push the corners of the frame up when it is above shoulder height.

As well, if possible instead of sliding down the lower legs but instead drop the middle legs to bring the height up enough to work with, that way the height of the gazeebo is lower when clipping the corners into place.
This should work as the clip holes are clear with the middle leg of the four legs dropped. Then drop your lower legs.
With other brands, I have mostly found it easier to climb underneath the frame and push up from the centre, this works easier especially if on grass or rough ground stopping the legs from sliding outwards.
