High Falls 4K - Dupont Forest State Park - Awesome Hike to this beautiful 125 Foot Waterfall !!

High Falls is a popular & beautiful waterfall in Dupont State Park between Hendersonville, NC & Brevard, NC. This 125 foot waterfall is impressive and has many points along the trail to take a look at the waterfall. There is even a High Falls Shelter where you can picnic and enjoy the waterfall from an short distance up the mountain in front of the falls. From the shelter area you can hike to the bottom of the falls and enjoy the waterfall close up. During this hike - we hiked to the shelter and to an impressive overlook of the falls which is on the trail to the bottom of the falls. We decided not to go to the bottom since the area was crowded but instead decided to take the short hike to the cover bridge which is above High Falls.
The video was to show others the trail from the High Falls parking area to the shelter, mid point lookout, and then to the shelter. The hike is rated moderate but is not difficult to most people and especially people who walk on a regular basis. The total hiking for us that day was 2.7 miles.

Dupont State Park is a nice place for a weekend or longer for hikes, mountain biking, horseback riding, swimming, and kayaking. The 10,000+ acre State Park has been an popular outing for many since the 1990s when the park was created.
