This was an excellent episode. I enjoy the interviews without the mess. I don't know anything about bodybuilding but, I watched the entire show and enjoyed it.💯
Ronnie is a Legend, The GOAT! Former cop, absolutely dedicated and no BS individual, back in the day it was an adrenaline spike to watch one of his vids right b4 hittin the gym! More importantly, Ronnie always kept it real, super humble and kind gentle giant. A genetic freak with an insane training and disclipline at the highest level! Fantastic interview
Needs to include Lee Priest as a GOAT. Ronnie contemplated retirement as he couldn't beat Lee. 315 military press for 15.❤ Always love hearing from Ronnie.
@@goofy_xf6223 Yep. Doing them strict. Just lifting with the arms. I’ve read that a good military press is your body weight.,🤣🤣🤣 I can do 150 at 220 bodyweight. Looooong way to go and I’m running out of time. Enjoy the process. All the best.
@@chrisweidner4768 Back in the day I could do standing 200 for 3x6 at 200lbs bodyweight, but now my back is done, so I do only sitting but with strict form - 200 for 8 is easy:) but Im smaller though, around 185 these days. It was always a movement that felt natural for me tho. Even when I first started doing it I could easily do more than at my bench press lol. These days thats not the case but its close. But if you want any tips, for me doing the machines like hammer strength press - and progress there - then moving to barbell and from lighter weight (around 20 reps max) slowly going up - works great. You can build a lot of pushing strength at the machines without any worries about joints. I did full machine (150-155 at each side If im correct) and then switched. Smith machine is also good if its the right one for your shoulders
@@incidentus7626 The first time Jay cutler saw Lee, he wondered how he could move, he was so massive. Look at pics of him when he was 24. I’m an old guy and Partial to the older guys.
@@TheCavemanBrown I think Michael was saying he is from Dallas. Not that Ronnie is from Dallas. If that doesn't clear things up then I have no clue what you're yapping about lol
Kevin Levrone deserves more credit especially when they talking about the lat spread. And I’d put prime Levrone up against just about anyone. He just has the unfortunate situation of going against prime Ronnie. But I think at the 2002 Olympia Levrone was right there with him.
Jay at his best definitely is but he couldn't get passed Ronnie. Ronnie doesn't exist Jay probably has 8 lol. That 2009 Jay though was basically unbeatable he was a monster.
Body over exhaustion. The eating and lack of sleep. The more you eat (especially meat) you body has to process to break down. And it consumes energy when doing.
that I once met this man in my life, I will never forget, in my eyes mr ronnie is the best, the biggest bodybuilder ever in the life of bodybuilding history of this planet.
Unbelievable. Just mind boggling. This dude is amazing. I've ALWAYS been a huge Dorian fan, but this dude is right up there with him. I'm NOT a fan of Arnold. I can do without the arrogance and his penchant of playing the mind games and putting people down. I also liked Haney, obviously, and Phil Heath. Honorable mention to Jay and also Nasser.
Yeah, same with supermodels and their diets. It's not healthy to live the lifestyle the way the top people do. Pro body builders do the fasting stuff before a show. Now imagine you're stuffing yourself daily leading up to it and then you have to slow down, and sometimes stop it altogether week of. Your body isn't going to like that which is why these dudes faint.
People like Ronnie know what Arnold did in his prime. 1974 Arnold was crazy on so many levels. The pumping iron version(1975) of Arnold was a baby by comparison. He'd already lost his motivation by then.
Ronnie's one guy who when he says, "I could've got 6," you believe him.
20 Years later and he still regrets not going for it
Especially if you have seen it 😉
Love hearing from Ronnie!!!! Thanks for doing an interview with him!!

Yet you probably binge watch hip hop and love
Ronnie deserves his crown 👑
As the goat 🐐 of all time you mean ?
He’s always had it
Shay shay knows his bodybuilding!
“All those belong to me!”😂😂😂
I did 14 bodybuilding shows and it was always nice to see Ronnie in the audience and backstage. He is a nice person.
Legend 👑
2300 for 9 is RIDICULOUS
Can’t even fathom those numbers. It’s like trying to teach a dog how an iPhone works 😂
That’s literally a car … 🙌🦅🇵🇸
“Yeah buddy”. Iconic.
2 of my favorite people! God Bless you Ronnie!
The fact that he did all that at probably 5% bf is the craziest part
Goat body builder
Heck no

I LOVE Ronnie man he NEVER cheated the game you can hear it in his voice when he says I coulda got 6 😂 n just think he was in contest prep BEAST 🦍
Serge Nubret was severely underrated
Love the interview,Shannon!!! Thanks!
Great interview. This guy is a legend. His lifts, his physique are legendary.
TERRANCE OUT
“LIGHTWEIGHT, BABY!”
Great interview unc!
Ronnie's life story is amazing.

315 military press is INSANE! 225 feels like it’s impossible especially if you’re standing 😂

Lee never won a major pro show he didn’t even win an arnold classic the only reason he placed as high as he did was bc of his popularity

Nobody had Ronnie Coleman’s back. It looked unreal. Like an anime character. In fact, they drew anime characters after Ronnie’s likeness
Rear double bicep from Ronnie is game over.
"From the back with my hands down." Pause! 😂
Lmfao😂
Title & description need correction.
3:30 Ronnie said: Arnold, Lee Haney, himself and Phil Heath. Next up would've been Dorian Yates (not "Darien").
Thank you. I was wondering what happened here.
Dallas made here good to see goat lifter with goat TE.
@@TheCavemanBrown what?

I always thought Kevin had an amazing physique and was robbed of one Sandow.
Love Ronnie! Absolute legend 👑
Legend Boss❤❤❤
Lee Haney. Looks great and is healthy 👍
And
As do Lee Priest and Jay Cutler.
Dude all the bodybuilders from that era look good and are healthy,Ronnie is healthy as fucc he just had back issues that all
Dude all the bodybuilders from that era look good and are healthy,Ronnie is healthy as fucc he just had back issues that all
Lee Retired healthy. Ronnie had back issues that caught up to him
This is the combo the people needed.
Jay is top 5, my opinion but Ronnie is the best ever
I agree. Jay had an incredible physique, and look at who he had to go against.
Jay at his best definitely is but he couldn't get passed Ronnie. Ronnie doesn't exist Jay probably has 8 lol. That 2009 Jay though was basically unbeatable he was a monster.
Jay is great too!
God bless you RC for sharing this story,..wishing you a full recovery 😊
Lights Out Rear Lat Spread
Wish Ronnie the best. A true champion.
Shanon Sharp knows his bodybuilding history--from 80's, 90's, 2000's.....He can cite the bodybuilders, competitions and poses!
The King 👑
Ronnie is hands down the GOAT.
My favorite: front squats with 585 - multiple reps. On tape.
Living legend.
shannon is a good host. his laugh is infectious
Ronnie litterally could have leg pressed a small car lol
9 times
True legend.
The first two minute of this video is literally... WTF !!!! 😂😂😂
Body over exhaustion. The eating and lack of sleep. The more you eat (especially meat) you body has to process to break down. And it consumes energy when doing.
I’m surprised on how much knowledge shannon has about bodybuilding he speaking like a true bodybuilding watcher.
I love Phil but he would look small next to prime Dorian. I would also put Sergio Olivia Sr. ahead of Phil with his 7 Olympias and modern gear.
Phil Heath would beat Dorian.
The muscle fullness, roundness …. Phil had no weak points …. Dorian had multiple weak points : his chest and arms sucked
His list but thought he'd have Sergio Oliva on it
Evrrybadyy kno ze greatest Sergio gv arni run 4 hz money mo comp Sergio ws robbed n ze whit boy cm champ gm ova.....

Arnold started it all he’s the legend and Ronnie is the best as well 💪💪💪
2001 I was there. In person, Jay looked watery as well.
Ronnie Coleman is the goat body builder
It's Arnold Schwarzenegger.
“My favourite shot from the back with my hands out” ayooo Ronnie pause
that I once met this man in my life, I will never forget, in my eyes mr ronnie is the best, the biggest bodybuilder ever in the life of bodybuilding history of this planet.
Arnold and Ronnie are the 2 kings.
👑💯💪
Jay got screwed out of 1 if not 2
i know them all 😂😂😂😂
Arnold is literally a legend form Mr Olympia to The Terminator To The Governor of California back to the Terminator 😂🫡💯
Spelling of Dorian Yates is wrong, Dorian not Darien.
Man I love Ronnie
yeahhh buddy!!
2:25 Joel didn't have the legs, so technically true. BUT Joel's back was better.
When it comes to the back double biceps. It's Ronnie 1and Dorian 2. Others can fight for 3rd.
The GOAT.
curling 225lbs is insane
I think you guys misspelled dorian in the title
Dorian needs to be on Rons Mount Rushmore.
Please correct the name on the thumbnail
Jay beat Ronnie plain and simple. No need to try to blame a format change. He won 8, he is still one of the best ever. Glad Ronnie shut that down.
What did they say about Dorian?

Canon C80?.... waiting pensively
Dorian is definitely top 3!
Again COBRA BACK 😂😂😂
In here first 😂😂😂
What about the legendary O.G. CRAIG MONSON?? 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Never been this early
Surprised he didn't mention CBum as an all-time great
Why ? He’s a little man compared to him and those listed
They're talking about open bodybuilding. Cbum competes in classic physique. He doesn't compete against the monsters of open bodybuilding.
yeah buddy, kudos to the GOAT
💪🏾
VIDEO TITLE say: Darien Yates 😆 NO, the name was DORIAN (white guy) Yates.
😂👍💯
All those belong to me 😂
Samir banout won the olympia in 83
Tom Platz? Sergio Olivia? Robby Robinson?
Ronnie wanted to talk about them glutes… and Shannon did not. 😂
I had the back..Samir also
It’s dorian Yates not Darien Yates
It’s about the BACK , no diddy
Excuse my ignorance.. but 1 gallon of water throws their body off like THAT?!
