@Despacito 2 Yeah, there is a patch called silent patch for Bully on PC that fixes most issues, so make sure to install that. Also, there is a free online multiplayer mod.
@Despacito 2 yeah it was fine last time I tried a couple years ago. i have the original on PS2, but the scholarship edition (I played on PC) is better. the main difference is that in the original you tend to finish up the classes fairly early on, and you're left doing story missions and the other stuff (races, odd jobs etc) for the rest, which means it takes forever to get through autumn and then you kind of zoom through winter and spring, which ruins the pacing. the scholarship edition has a couple extra classes and it really does make a huge difference in my opinion
Bully is one of my absolute favorite games. Every time I play it I think I like it more. From the music to the city streets this game feels damn near pitch perfect. When I hear that music I get this wave of nostalgia and I can’t help but smile
The only things I think bring it down to like a 9.7 is the frame drops, and the fact that you can't do much of anything to girls as opposed to the boys. It makes sense, but still upsets me

And what did you do in all the days before that to "earn" that reputation? Oh, nothing, of course! People just choose to dislike you for no reason, right?
I think that one of the reasons it didn't sell that well is because of the box art When I first saw it, i didn't think that it was an open world game... I only bought it after seeing it at my friend's house
One of the best games I’ve ever played, GTA Online is the reason Rockstar didn’t make Bully 2, Max Payne 4, new Midnight Club or Agent. Rockstar are making so much money from that garbage. #FuckGTAOnline
You should listen to Shawn Lee’s stuff! He wrote the music to this game, and he’s a lot of other great music. One of my favorite songs by him is “Kiss the Sky”
To this day on bully feels for me as the most immersive game ever, no GTA has ever achived that feel for me, every NPC feels alive and the time to sleep, classes and seasons make it into one of my favorite games of all time.
I want that feeling i had as kid when I first bought this game not knowing anything but the word Bully and hoping it was a good game which it was!!! Need a bully 2
That Soundtrack took me back to that december morning Me and my Dad went to the game shop and got Bully Scholarship Edition for my PS2. The first day of vacation. Damn! Miss those days
yeah, that exploit is the main reason why the skateboard isn't crap. when i first played bully, after completing defend bucky, i rided the skateboard but it was tricky because of the controls but once i got the hang of it, i then felt the skateboard is pretty crappy because of the speed and spamming the l-shift button hardly did anything

At lvl. 3 (when the bar is red) you are instantly busted once caught.
Got this on ps2 and pc,the pc version in 4k with a joypad is obviously the best way to play it,eliminates loading times and fade in plus just looks like a much newer game and also played through the whole thing on a modern windows 10 pc without any issues at all.
Exactly this. Being able to do what you do in Bully with magic would be the greatest game of all time. I would want something like a parody of the Triwizard Tournament, so you can access three different schools who compete with each other during the school year. You could do something similar to Major Payne to turn up the humor and the action. The teachers could give you magical punishments, you could steal secret spells, etc. Rockstar's writing in a world that parodies Harry Potter would be incredible.
Too bad you didn't review the remake on PC or Xbox 360 because those two versions are the definitive editions of the game. I have not went back to the PS2 version in a long time because of _Scholarship Edition_ and it looks so different from how I remember it. Nonetheless, good review. I agreed with everything that you just said. _Bully_ is a masterpiece and one of Rockstar's most underrated titles right along _Manhunt_ and _Red Dead Revolver_ .
Funny enough, I still have my PS2 version even after moving on to _Scholarship Edition_ haha. I may go back to it on the PS4 just for the heck of getting all the trophies. I did with _Scholarship Edition_ years ago, so I may as well for the original game on PS4 as there are some different trophies than the ones on the Xbox 360 version.
Yeah, And they are two of the few PS2 games with gameplay and mechanics that are playable (actually great) still today... You hear me GTA3 and Vice City? Hope you do
For me what makes bully so special is the rpg-ish vibe you get, specially with the highly interactive NPC's, if you do some search you'd find that a lot of content was cut out of the final game simply because of the PS2 limitations, if the game is already a masterpiece as it is, imagine if there were more to it.
Bully....started it 4 times, never made it out of the school. Now, the Warriors. The Warriors was a love letter and a masterpiece. Finished it twice, one time on PSP. Awesome fan service.
When I was younger I played and loved GTASA and knew about Bully because my friend had it, but I never played it myself or even watched him play it all that much. I only wish I'd played it on console back in the day, but I had no problem beating it on mobile. Hilariously, it wasn't until I got it on mobile that I realized the map was much much more than just the school! That was a complete shock to me all these years later.
I haven't really played Bully yet, but Persona is basically a role playing game that is set in a japanese high school. You are a male student who has transferred to a new school for a year and you have to live out the entire year. You spend your days taking exams, making friends, dating girls and even eating burgers. Each time you hang out with someone, you level up with them, and those levels are transferred to the other half of the game which is a dungeon crawler. In persona 3, you fight in a tower every night to save the world, in persona 4 you try to solve a serial murder case and in persona 5, you try to change the hearts of various people who are abusing their power. Honestly, the writing is incredible and it mostly plays like a visual novel that is broken uo with dungeon crawling elements.

In my head it eventually leads to Jimmy having his own GTA game set in Vice City or NY.
Sorry to burst your bubble but it's never going to happen. The games creators never saw Jimmy developing into a GTA protagonist. "I never saw him as being that level of degenerate...I saw him as a bad teen, because he comes from a tough home, who could go either direction. He's not going to be a carjacker. He's too white collar for that already. He's at a shit private school, but he's going to end up being really happy because he's at the worst bit of his life, or being a sort of messed up white collar doofus. He was an unpleasant soul, but he had a heart. To some extent you could say the same was true of [Grand Theft Auto 4's] Niko in a bizarre way. But [Jimmy's] not trying to burn down the school, he's more trying to stand up to injustice." - Dan Houser, Rockstar
Scholarship Edition was a good update, but it was very unstable. The PC version is one of the worst ports ever, and the Xbox 360 version freezes a lot.
Silent made a patch that basically fixes all crashes, and other things like an unlocked frame limiter. steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1323609222
Bully is a Master Pice In spanish Una Obra Maestra ! This game is so fun , with tons of stuff to do , i like this game more than GTA V and thrust me buy it its chip and worthed Super Fun! 😍
Great review! But it is actually not entirely impossible to determine the time period Bully takes place in. The map in Geography 1 already shows post-soviet countries so it must either take place in the 90's or early 2000's. Since the nerds play on Arcade machines, my first guess would be the 90's
In my opinion this is one of the greatest video games ever made and is certainly my favorite of all time to this day and I know waaayyyy too many things about this game and so many glitches 😅 (Only can do 1 to 2 missions a day early on) me looking shocked hearing that knowing I completely did chapter 1 in like 2 or 3 in game days before
@@7evive like I know how to glitch myself outside the school in chapter 1. Not only that but I know how to glitch myself into every area of the game in chapter 1. Also I know a glitch so that the clock is no longer on the screen and technically "freeze time", I know how to get the gokart in chapter 2. I know how to make Jimmy "fly", I also know quite a few other glitches. It's still the best game ever even with glitches
Bully was set 2007..Here is some proof below : - 1. In the bulletin board , we can the year 2007 2. Rockstar said that the game is set on 2007 3. Mr.Galloway said jimmy that he was browsing the internet 4. In the mission Beach Rumble , Algernon Moonwalks (Michael Jackson's Dance move from 1983)
I played a good boy run of this game by going to each class on time every day and then i handled the rest of the story missions. It really frees up your time when you finish off the classes and you're pretty decked out with abilities for the missions to boot. I loved it. Wonderful game. Some of its lineage is in Sleeping Dogs. The click and hold method fighting style, the reputation based gameplay, hell even the customizable outfits.
The slingshot song, the townies song and the credits songs are always present in all of my playlist. I encourage a Lot of my friends to buy it and they told me that it was one of the greatest decisions. The missions, the story, the characters, all of the game game the best memories. Allong whit the Warriors as well.
The schoolership edit is even on android and ios available.. And its a very good port too.. The graphics are better than pc and its the same with gta 3,gta sa, gta lcs on android because these are the newest versions available of this games.. Gta sa looks amazing on android and it coasts only 6,99€ and there are many mods you can install for this games for android
I wouldn't want Bully to be a fully-fledged modern rockstar game. A smaller project assigned to a partner studio would be awesome. Take the same map and flesh it out more, using an updated engine would add game mechanics; more classes, better weapons and diverse environment interactions. Throw on a new story about the next school year or something and you have a classic

He was an unpleasant soul, but he had a heart. To some extent you could say the same was true of [Grand Theft Auto 4's] Niko in a bizarre way. But [Jimmy's] not trying to burn down the school, he's more trying to stand up to injustice."

I made sure to get that scooter from the carnival; I mowed a lot of lawns to get that big ticket item.
Seems like an amazing game
that's because it is
Totally worth your time. I recently completed it one month ago.
It is!!
Scholarship Edition was a good update, but it was very unstable. The PC version is one of the worst ports ever, and the Xbox 360 version freezes a lot.
Silent made a patch that basically fixes all crashes, and other things like an unlocked frame limiter.

That opening music is iconic!
wow great review dude
this is defo my fav game ever, beaten it 57 times across all 3 versions
Bully is like a new school beat em up
Bully is a Master Pice
In spanish Una Obra Maestra !
This game is so fun , with tons of stuff to do , i like this game more than GTA V and thrust me buy it its chip and worthed
Super Fun! 😍
Looks like saying hello to prefects is disrespectful ( 11:50 )
this game got me into underground hiphop, menu theme AOTP - sword drawn. life is good
Great review! But it is actually not entirely impossible to determine the time period Bully takes place in. The map in Geography 1 already shows post-soviet countries so it must either take place in the 90's or early 2000's. Since the nerds play on Arcade machines, my first guess would be the 90's
In my opinion this is one of the greatest video games ever made and is certainly my favorite of all time to this day and I know waaayyyy too many things about this game and so many glitches 😅
(Only can do 1 to 2 missions a day early on) me looking shocked hearing that knowing I completely did chapter 1 in like 2 or 3 in game days before
What glitches ? It's my favorite game too!
Was disappointed that Scholarship Edition wasn’t released on ps3 or ps4 but finally got to play it on my iPad
Bully was set 2007..Here is some proof below : -
1. In the bulletin board , we can the year 2007
2. Rockstar said that the game is set on 2007
3. Mr.Galloway said jimmy that he was browsing the internet
4. In the mission Beach Rumble , Algernon Moonwalks (Michael Jackson's Dance move from 1983)
Best soundtrack I've ever heard.
Skool daze was my favourite game from childhood.
Just bought Bully yesterday after a Rockstar spree of GTAV, GTAIV, GTASA. First time playing ever.
the "police" catches you immediatly if the bar is red
The Principal's VA is top notch to me.
I was never frustrated by the classes I actually liked all of them XD Even English.
I just finished this game 40 minutes ago on the ps4. the last time I played it was 2013 and it was on ps2
I love the bully theme it was a surprise masterclasses experience
Nothing but good memories on this game
You should review the Max Payne series if you've played them
Regardless of the game itself, it's one of the absolute best game soundtracks - period.
heard rumors that Bully 2 was in a playable level and in development but rockstar canceled to put a big part of the studios in the gta 6 development
It takes place 1995 at the earliest. There's an arcade game that says that it was registered in 1995.
Galloway also says looking at sites on the internet pretty sure internet wasn't this famous in 1995
