🤣🤣🤣 I know I’ve just never give it chance, I’ve always used bait to catch perch n pike, and flicked lures about here n there but never caught nothing, give up to easy see, but now I’m bloody looking at light set ups on Temu 🤣🤣
Have a look on temu for a cheap lightweight set up. Either a baitcaster set up or a spinning one. People may laugh but I used 50lb braid on all 3 of my lure rods as I got fed up off getting snagged & losing lures. My lightweight rod is 1-8g & is ideal for the canal. One word of warning keep those korum lures in the packaging they came in as they react with other plastics & melt together. This is from experience 😂
Them squirms/ned rigs are deadly for perch & zeds. Best fished slow along the bottom with gentle taps and pauses. Get a spool of 10lb fluoro for leaders. Nice result them perch. I totally get the frustration. It can be hard work at times. I've found, spending abit more time in certain areas with repeated casting can trigger a bite. Its easy to move on from a spot too quick and assume theres nothing there. Dont ignore the margins either along the tins. Nice light dedicated rod & reel setup would be well worth investing in. And perfect for short missions. Its active fishing and ideal for a quick mooch. 😎👍🏻
Yeah mate I deffo need the right rod for it, I will get one soon, I just had no faith at the beginning 🤣🤣 but once I got one I was like here we Gew 🤣 good fun and yeah can have an hour here n there with the dog and it’s happy days
I will do now I can drop on the lures over winter, the carp are not having it at the moment, I’ve been trying trust me, but ain’t got nothing to show as of yet, but yeah will keep the predator fishing going
I needed faith yesterday 🤣 could of given up it was freezing and so many leaves in the water and on the bottom, was constantly hooking them, on the plus side I didn’t snag up once or loose a lure, and some how managed some perch
I edited out the hours of casting before I actually got one, it’s boring just watching someone cast ain’t it 🤣, but yeah luckily I had that first one, and that made me try harder then cause I knew I could catch, will be better when I get the right gear for it, I never thought I’d even be lure fishing but it’s not to bad after all 🤣🤣
I day even know it was a surface lure til I stuck it on, thought it was some mad lure that had a spinning tail, im gonna use it now and catch a winter surface pike, watch this space 🤣🤣
brilliant content again, watched the whole archive, had my first 20,30 from a cut near me a decade ago but sadly the 🦦have wiped em. can we have some more big perch on livey action! that was the bollocks broome 👍🏼
Cheers mate, yeah it’s the best way to catch em, had some snowflakes crying though cause used a live bait, but I’m sure worms and maggots are alive too? 🤣🤣 cheers mate thanks for watching
