Do you have a review on philips 9050 since it has been released at costco?

I’m trialing a pair of 9040s now. These are my first hearing aids and I’ve only had them two weeks. Went into Costco yesterday because the earpiece was too painful and not really working. When I left it felt like I was wearing new hearing aides. The fitter changed the domes and it made a huge difference.
FYI the external casing of the 9040 is not like the Otocon. Instead it is identical to the Bernafon, a sister brand. The insides I believe are Otocon. Definitely not Bernafon.

Thanks for sharing! Glad you got domes that work better for you. That can make a world of difference.

While there were comparisons in this review of Phillips to Jabra, there was no mention of Rexton's new "Reach," also sold by Costco: an oversight or intentional? I will need to rely on a hearing tech at Costco.

Would you recommend these over the Jabra 20's? Which one is better in noisy environments?

What about the custom in the ear products? I understand they are based on the 9030 platform. Have you heard if they have any intent to upgrade that platform?

Why do you need to stream directly to your ear, don't understand, thought a hearing aid corrects your hearing loss, so whydo i need to stream.
Does music not come through the hearing aid ? Can i not hear my phone speaker without streaming it.
I would think they would focus on reproducing natural human hearing.
Nothing to do with my cell phone !!!!!
Just make a simple hearing aid that replaces your hearing loss.

I have read that the Oticon Real comes in three "performance" levels. Any idea what level the Philips HearLink 9040 is comparable to?

Yes Oticon real 1. Costco only carries the top technology level which keeps things simple.
