The huge silver rocket is the allied GPS satellite. The nuke missile is much smaller. Screen turning black and white is not a nuke, it's the Chronosphere activating. Either that or the Chrono Tank Gunboat is the smallest allied ship, basically a scout. The giant dual cannon ship is the Cruiser, basically the single most broken unit of the game, out ranging everything and can take out low armour buildings/infantry in single shots. However it's not good against armour, has a minimum fire range, and can't shoot on submarines or aircraft, so it requires support. Also it's very inaccurate at large range. You rarely see them because of that and also because not many maps have enough water for them to matter.
actually the cruisers can be force fiered if you want to micro them. they're really good at destroying anything coastal. at least against AI they're broken, as the AI doesn't have anything that can hit the cruisers. if you spam them you basically have all the coasts for yourself, and you can quickly melt any base in range (using force fire to aim the bullets)
I thought CloudNine's late start would be a death sentence for team in the south. It was incredibly unpredictable to see their comeback. Not even a psychic could forseen this. What a great match.
13:45 That wasn't a dead refinery bug, he ordered the MIGs back out too early and they hadn't reloaded, but they still fly to the new target and make a run.
I've been skirmishing in RA remastered for fun recently after taking a break. The game feels horribly unbalanced but as always is still a ton of fun, especially when doing like 2v6 bot stomps with a friend
Ranking the watching experience of suspension during castings, I think the following C&C games are the most entertaining in descending order 1: Red Alert 3 2 : Tiberium Wars/Kane's Wrath 3: C&C Generals 4: Red Alert + Tiberium Dawn 6: Red Alert 2 Anyone with a different view?
I feel like you and a couple of other people put 100x more thought and effort into your comments than most people, and I appreciate that. I really enjoy RA2, but mostly for nostalgia reasons, I have more sentiments attached to that game from endless hours of skirmishing and playing the campaign. I recognize that competitive matches aren’t very good compared to more modern games. For me RA3/KW/ZH are all interchangeably #1, I like them for different reasons and they have unique strengths and weaknesses. TD/RA Remastered (and to some extent RA2) have a feeling that no game is ever one or lost until it’s over the ability to sell a bunch of structures and initiate a base-trade from nothing makes it seem if either player could pull out a win in under 60 seconds. Couple that with the way the economy can have a naturally sharp crash and the matches can be erratic. That kind of chaos has an appeal to it.
@@OneSybert I see your points regarding RA2 and RA/TD, it is not so much centre of my focus that a match can be chaotic, I like these situations in which few units or ,towards the same matter, one unit can prevail against masses from any adversary and I like how special abilities of units can factor in the skill to vindicate it, since it's the more entertaining to watch but that's merely my own preference. Well I appreciate the compliment, Kollege. Though it might be noted, that to me it feels too arbitrary to just comment "good game" or "first" (even though you're most probably not) or something else that is miscellanously trivial. With time, you learn to ignore those and as such, it feels like you unwrote it the moment you tapped "send". I prefer to write something, that might induce some thought within the reader and may spark some discourse in the process, since we are humans for Faterns sake. There is a wonderful opportunity given through this youtube section to connect and discuss about the things moving your thoughts and inspirations. Commenting along the sophistication of comments à la "first" is a bit of a waste. I think I will end this probably over-long comment with the notion, that the same notion goes to your work. One can basically sense the dedication you put into this (relatively) small channel born out of passion, despite not having megalodonic compensation for it, which in turn is also way more and very much appreciated by others and me. Other than your 0815 standart channel that produces mindless consumeristic (means in my book: watching to compensate for a feeling ), you actually inspire others and if it be only for competition with others. Godspeed mate!
I prefer the games that arent that foccused on set meta like red alert 2 however seeing massive clashes and seeing rare clever tricks with allot of units is just great
The ships that shoot missiles are "Destroyers" and the big ships with the big guns are "cruisers" which are the Allies big naval power. The have the ability to shoot far inland which makes them base destroyers but they have no ability to fight other naval units. The resource gatherers are called "Ore trucks" not harvesters like in regular C&C.
9:42 hurt to see green just sit their rather than pull his tanks towards the ships waiting to reinforce on the west coast... The battle would of been in his favor if he did.
guesty was looking a bit underwhelming initially in terms of base development, so I didn't see the base creep and aggression coming around 11 minutes in
so the top players are either asleep or generally bad at the game and cloud 9 is a robot clearly photonics literally 1v3 them writing this cmment before watching the end f the video first 8 mins shows you how on top of everyone else photnics is, green played catch up well but in the long run didnt control the map so loses
A good game, spoilers ahead. . . . . . . . Why did the North side team just completely forget about the ore on the right side of the map? It was insane to just forget about even attempting to have an economy. And what happened to yellow players destroyers on the right?? They just disappeared it seems, I have to rewind and see what happened to them. They could have swung that game if they targeted those airstrips. OK, the gunboats were just left on the right to pointlessly harass a couple harvesters instead of doing work and then got cleaned up by migs.

Pretty sure you can forcefire subs
@@StriKe_jk people force fire when attacking buildings too to make them more accurate

That cruiser barrage at 14:59 is just perfection. If you can't take them down you might as well migrate your base further inland.
I thought CloudNine's late start would be a death sentence for team in the south. It was incredibly unpredictable to see their comeback. Not even a psychic could forseen this. What a great match.
well blue and pink carried that so hard.
Building a nuke in this game is like going to the bank and giving them money and saying keep it I don't need it,
I like to use nukes to destroy power plants, Soviets hate me for that xD
That’s so spot on you went around the world and hit the target again.
@@ErenisRanitos power plants and infantry is all they're good for really
@@ErenisRanitos migs are a better target, nuke takes them out and they cost a fortune to replace

Sybert, upon seeing a destroyer or cruiser: "Ahh, a gunboat!"
Loving the Red Alert remastered content!! Please continue posting these videos, I watch all of them!!
Those aren't nukes they are the GPS satellites from the allied tech centers. They reveal the entire map for each player.

Its slways been thay way
CnC games has always been unbalanced lol
Have tried out the AI BOOST mod on this game! It's loads of fun and very challenging.
7:05 Can't avoid noticing the Harvesters constantly changing directions as the rest of their base is being obliterated.
Thats real panic

4V4?! NOW THIS IS GONNA BE A WAR!
the counter attack from photonics is phenomenal
That was a crates match. I reckon some of those early nuke detonations were unlucky crates
Looks like the guy in blue carried the team in the south with the help of the migs
One of the best red alert 1 matches that I have ever seen.
What a fantastic game, I particularly love the use of Migs and Gap Generators!
9:42 hurt to see green just sit their rather than pull his tanks towards the ships waiting to reinforce on the west coast... The battle would of been in his favor if he did.
Great classic game play, I love it! That was the first RTS game I ever played and it got me hooked!
There was a point where you called a nuke being fired off, but it wasn't as nuke. It was an allied player's tech centre getting full map visibility.
This is just freaking awesome old school Red Alert. If you put out content like this I'll be here every week.
Love the red alert remastered content more please. Also what do we have to do to get RTS to sort out mods to be allowed for online multiplayer .
6:21 I have never seen that before haha, it looks like it half chronoshifted and didn't finish.
Wow, I hadn't thought it would be this much fun to watch a large RA1 match :D
11:54 This is not a nuke, this is a GPS.
Photonics hard carried this.
guesty was looking a bit underwhelming initially in terms of base development, so I didn't see the base creep and aggression coming around 11 minutes in
For sure, a couple of players under-performing at first and then coming in clutch in the second half.
Just a guess: M.I.E.L. - FR might be french and miel (honey) is pronounced Me El. Don't think it will matter but it makes for some trivia I suppose ^^
Western front collapse so easily its embarrassing!!!! Epic comeback though....
6:16 not a glitch. Its -world of tanks - AMMO RACK ... takes the turret off
If I were in a team game and seeing my teammate having a long piss like CloudNine's in the early game, 100% will blame CloudNine's if our team lose.
Man... Not having a nuke mark on the map for the observer seems like design flaw...
Sybert really missing out on the naval action happening early over on the left by red.
Those glitches make me wonder why people not switch to openra?
South Team made an Iron Curtian base
This match is crazy ❤
Those aren’t nukes. Those are the allied gps satellites.
Quite surprised a GDI base in tge center
loved it thanks..keep it up
No Shared team vision in RA1
awesome match!
Great battle! This game aged pretty good with the remake!

They're playing one speed too fast. The game wasn't designed for bigger tanks to move like a light tank.
Madness that 😂😂

I love to collect money In this game
what is the name of this map?
announcer has no idea how the game works and its funny and sad at the same time
This is too antiquated to be enjoyable unlike 3, generals etc.
