Nice. I live in an Air Force town and have known several pilots. They might seem jokey and arrogant in person but they take flying dead serious. I quit my civil aviation flying early in training because I realized I wasn't taking it serious. I realize now it was definitely not for me. But I respect those who do fly and especially those who make it a career. Given that I wouldn't have taken off in those conditions unless the person in the right seat was IFR trained too (assuming she isn't). Why not wait?
My wife isnt a pilot. I thought about it for a minute but considered it acceptable risk. The Ifr part wasnt an issue at all. The part that I accept as risk was losing an engine on takeoff. There would be no visibility on the emergency landing. I wasnt the only one taking off by the way. Not sure how it would help if my wife was an IFR pilot. Appreciate your comment.
Great video! I trained at KPTK last year for PPL. Never saw what it was like to takeoff in fog! Very cool! Great job!
Thanks for the comment. I also did my training at KPTK. PPL in Aug 22. IFR raring in 2023. Love the airport and tower people.
Love her new ear protection
