As a former ATC IRL I'm always impressed by how good the people serving as ATCs in Flight Sim are. I don't know if these are real ATCs doing some extracurricular shit off the clock or if it's people who have listened to a LOT of LiveATC and got their patter down but it's good to hear. Kinda makes me miss the old job. Kinda.

A ton can’t go to controller school due to financial or language constraints, the rest because they genuinely enjoy ATC rp. All could easily be considered top 5-10% of all controllers across the entire world. It’s insane this level of talent sits behind vatsim. Genuinely sad

Lufthansa pilots are always fun to listen to. My local airport has a daily, single Lufthansa flight that comes in and anytime I'm listening to ATC, I immediately pick up on the German accent because they're the only German on frequency.
At peak, Volanta showed roughly 1,860 A380s flying. Only around 450 have ever been built, and only ~60 were in the air in real life at the time. Genuinely amazing.

The A380 is really something with that glass cockpit. Knowing not a lot about Flight Sim aside from watching you, I have to wonder if something like a 1970's Boeing 747 would be available to do a run in, purely for the contrast between eras.
@@CC80 Most 3rd party aircraft from that era tend to automate the flight engineer's seat, the FSS 727 offers the option to automate it all for example, I imagine the upcoming PMDG 747 classic will be the same

One of the best moments in my life is undoubtedly opening my phone and watching a new afp95 video pop up. Like today when i received this notification i almost jumped up and i was in public so the people around me became tensed as to what is wrong with this guy😂

Flew through Dubai just 2 weeks ago on my way back from Tokyo, the realism is beyond amazing, felt like I was re-experiencing my flight, despite the different destination!
Excited to see the fully-modeled interior. I worked at the company that made those business class and super first class suites. I did get to fly business class twice, and it is a treat!
Still one of the wildest yet most comfortable flying experiences as a passenger is on one of these... it really does feel like a building lifting off into the sky.
Lived in Dubai 6 years, 500k miles on Emirates (passenger). Emirates A380 is the best in flight experience, bar none. Cabin detail was spot on, though you should have visited the tail bar IYKYK😉

I love the A380 have flown with it several times with Emirates to Asia been lucky to sit right behind the wing on every flight (my favourite view) and see the wings just lift this massive aircraft of the ground.
i get to ride in one of these bad boys in september and im SO EXCITED. Lufthansa business class, KIAD to KBRE. luckily were on the second level as well which adds to the excitmeent

The airport is just barely big enough to accommodate these beautiful, massive birds. Later Tater - an LAX ATC - said he knows that we all love the A380s, but he finds them annoying, because they're so huge to work with. He has limited taxi ways he can send them down. :D You forget how big these things are until you're right next to them, or they soar over your head with the gear down. It's like you're going to get hit in the forehead. They are HUMUNGUS. And I think they do have a horn. :D
I must’ve watched a video in a while because these radio calls have got really good for a sim. They even have the correct accents for the destinations lol
Flying in India in the 2020 is a bit underwhelming, it lacks good DEM ground resolution and fitting autogen vegetation & buildings. The new one should be better in this regard
Initially I said 7.5+ for that landing since you weren't familiar with the A380 and it was dark and hazy, but DAMN, I gave you a 9.5! Little floaty on that 5, but it was so damn smooth otherwise. My toast was buttered beyond belief.

IRL,I have flown on an A380 over 50 times with Emirates. My favourite aircraft. Really good in turbulence compared with other aircraft.
