This conversation took me straight back to those dark days where black people were excluded from the 'white' experience and any white person who strayed into a 'black' designated area without the necessary 'permit' would face official sanction. My husband is a person of color. We’ve been to numerous theaters. He has never felt the need for a safe space or to have a special experience that excluded me. If people had judgmental thoughts toward us, that’s their problem, not ours. Everyone we’ve ever spoken to at a theater has been kind and gracious.
Who would want to go and see a show like that?
She just loves the sound of her own voice and in her opinion the only opinion that counts is hers!

The sad reality is that British culture is the practice of excluding Blacks from employment, health, education and even unfortunately religion. I am not entirely surprised from the kickback from those who do not share the "black' experience.
