- Fellow Legends, welcome! Today we dive into a Minecraft video, a shocker for some that know Kip as I'm not exactly known for playing it. But, I do enjoy it, and always find it interesting what mods do exist out there to augment the gameplay. This video showcases the strengths and pitfalls of RL Craft, and I actually really like the concept. Maybe I'll play it in the future. This mod feels like something I'd play if I wanted to punishment myself, it's essentially Dark Souls in Minecraft but without dodging and I'm already terrible with Souls games
It doesn't help that this modpack was made by a literal sadist.
Shivaxi started a similar mod on Unreal, it too was sadistically designed.
He wound up rage quitting developing his RLCoop mod for Unreal and focused on RLCraft. It was funny to be there for that.
At least someone picked up where he left off and made RLCoop a far better mod than Shivaxi would have.

I would recommend watching Union Speedrun Hardcore RL Craft. It is an experience of all times.
rlcraft I would say it's largely fine, if grindy, except for two things: dragons being able to show up and both kill you and grief your stuff into the ground; and the random events that spawn a bunch of bullshit, deleting the ability to play smart

Unless its veen changed another vig thing not mentioned is *every time* you die. Unlike bornal Minecraft where there is a set soawn point you will r apawn at if you yavent set a soawn with a bed, you resoawn in a random location, meaning you could be hundreds to thousands of blocks a at from your death point.
Bruh, RL Craft is HELL. There's one one mod in the pack the really is just bs in my opinion. Its called....like and ikes or something lol. Its a mod that adds in a lot of stuff, but lets talk about the bad.
They have so many different super OP and near insta killing enemies its bs. Lots are elemental based. Lava pools spawn flying Satan, oceans spawn a bunch of different sea monsters that make boating actual suicide, and after all the death if you decide to finally touch grass you may die. Oh what's that? You punched grass? Die. Lol. Caves are also suicide with all the types of cave enemies. Ifs a different flavor of suicide if you got bored of the ocean variety.
When i used to still play i wouldn't die from anything else in the game, no other enemies (ignoring being turned into KFC by dragons), but the cave monsters from the mod. Dungeon diving in any under ground dungeon usually spawns cave enemies from that mod that are ao fast and deal so much damage its more efficient to just walk away to actually touch grass and come back when you are dead lol.
I was so nearly about to go to the modpack files and remove the mod but that would make RL Craft more bearable, which defeats the purpose. If you ever wanna play it, good luck

Dragons are bad but a level 5 dragon can break blocks and kills anyone and anything and hates everything and I mean you need to hunt it down or it hunts down everything and I mean every mob

RL craft is a pain in the ass. Tough as nails is the worst thing in it imo, it adds temperature into the game. In a snowy biome? Enjoy freezing to death. In the nether? Enjoy burning to death. It is so damn annoying.
Dragons are from the ice and fire mod. It can be fun on it's own, but early game they are a pain, also, kind of a lag machine cause of block breaking...
Honestly, Orespawn is and was bullshit, but I honestly had more fun with it than RL craft.

WOOHOO! Albino has some positively hilarious videos! I'd reccomend his video on Noita if you found this one funny! And also there are other "reviews" of RLCraft that are pretty funny.
As for how bad RLCraft...I liken it to Dark Souls. It's going to beat your ass black and blue, but if you pay attention it'll get easier and easier as you learn and strategize. RNG or not there are tried and true methods you can do.
