  • I would love to understand who is advising DrDisrespect legally on his statements and actions, and if he's even listening to his legal team. It's honestly been wild to watch someone get so animated and angry on TH-cam trying to defend their actions. Actions he himself admitted to perpetrating.
Please keep all comments civil and respectful, thank you!

@@KipReacts The standard in the court of law doesn't place the burden of proof in the hands of the accused, as it can often be impossible to prove something DIDN'T happen, the burden of proof is in the accusers hand, as they better damn well have evidence that proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that what they are alleging had occured.
Anyone demanding or expecting him to release the messages has it backwards- this should be demanded of Cody, and of Twitch- not Dr. Disrespect.
As for the inability to report him? I'd wager that it's to prevent mass reporting that would be done based on completely false allegations.
The court of public opinion always forgets about innocent until proven guilty- and in some cases even when your innocence is proven- they deem you guilty regardless, and that's why our court system is not hashed out and left completely to the people.
It's handled by a carefully selected Jury of our peers, who are educated on what they can or cannot find their facts on, and they are handled by a judge who can act as the sole finder of fact should something prove to be so objectively in violation of the law or someone's rights that a Jury is not required, that's called summary judgement.

@@ElfpireEva So like, once again, I cite that DrDisrespect should've just let his legal team handle this. I have a Short on this very channel talking about Cody Connors making allegations against DrDisrespect, and that it's innocent until proven guilty. DrDisrespect then makes his official Tweet stating, “Were there twitch whisper messages with an individual minor back in 2017?” Beahm writes. “ The answer is yes. Were there real intentions behind these messages, the answer is absolutely not. These were casual, mutual conversations that sometimes leaned too much in the direction of being inappropriate, but nothing more. Nothing illegal happened, no pictures were shared, no crimes were committed, I never even met the individual."
He made his own official statement, I've done nothing more than hold him to his official statement and made my own educated assessment of the situation. I've talked to a friend who is both prior military and an educator about this subject. In his own works, "And, That's more than should have happened."
He could have just let his legal team handle this, especially if arbitration was broken by Cody Connors and everyone reasonable was saying that we need evidence to support these allegations.

Dr. Disrespect has got to have the worst legal team OR his sense of PR is on brain dead lvl.
Cody accused him of the worst things.
Doc didn't call it slander. Didn't deny it.
He Admited to "inappropriate messages" didnt deny that those were not what he had been accused of by Cody until 2 months later.
The man literally dug his PR grave.
Certainly has a slander case against Cody but that wont change the 2 months of his career burning down cause he seemed to implicitly admit to what Cody had been slandering him with until he clarified it WASN'T THAT after that time. Come on 🤦‍♂️

There is not much analysis to make given the current info. He is self admittedly guilty. Short of him releasing the messages if they are "innocent enough" to even publish that people/law enforcement reading through them would go "Oh... its not THAT kind of inappropriate!" Sadly (for him), It is extremely unlikely that they would be exonerating at all or he would have started with releasing them in the first place to clear the air. He is done, no one in his right mind will nor should be associating with him and risking the guilt by association. I for one, will blacklist any company directly associating with him for sponsorships.

That's pretty much where I'm at. I would be shocked if his legal team greenlit him to post his statement. If it didn't exist, we'd all be asking for evidence from Cody Connors to support his allegations. The statement by DrDisrespect, if nothing else, has caused him more problems than if he just kept quiet.

I don't know or hate Dr. Disrespect, but him thinking to publicly state this had already painted a bad picture on him. But whether he felt this was the right thing to do, I don't think the context matters when saying inappropriate things to a minor is okay. As said, there is many ways he could've interacted with the minor and him being an adult is his RESPONSIBILITY, so he had every aspect to control the situation and him being a parent just makes the situation far worse. Again, to why he made that response is beyond me.

This has become a stupid morality debate. And to prove how stupid it is, I will say this statement. If what Dr. Disrespect said was inappropriate but not illegal (as the courts say), then any adult who participated in a COD or Halo lobby back in the day should also be condemn, which most are not. Unless you have the exact logs of what was said, then you can't say one way or the other. Inappropriate can mean a lot of things, and People are only assuming what was said, with no definitive proof of what was actually said. This entire things needs to be dropped, and people need to focus on bigger more important issues, like Mr. Beast or that one twitch ambassador.

yeah it is somewhat bizarre, however, My stance when someone is being held guilty over something, evidence needs to be provided outright, when it came to dr, everyone was being very vague about what was stated, since there was an effective gag order in order to prevent it transforming into a kangeru court, however, twitch broke the agreement made in court by one of their ex employees who said they had "evidence" and were flaunting said statements to garner attention and clout, this has been going on for a very long while btw since he was banned, dr then promptly made a statment that insenuated that a conversation did occur (btw everyone does talk in private conversations even if they weren't really important stuff ie: omg you're my favorite creator, it's kinda unavoidable no matter how big or small you are) what does matter if the conversations were innappropriate, over all this time, dr was never thrown in jail even for a split second since it only needs seconds for them to be done so, however, dr's recent post exposes the entire scheme, some members of twitch's staff had it out for him, they used the most vague conversation to ban dr from their platform, and this was done when a majority of staff threw out the attempt, this was against twitch's own wishes btw, it was elevated to such an extent that twitch itself needs to be seriously looked into, everyone already knows the complete utter bias both twitch and youtube's moderation has with their user base's and how moderation can be done, truth be told, we need to experiment with how moderation can be done entirely by the user base itself, and no, expecting that they can't do so doesn't mean they can't, people can moderate even themselves they just need time to experiment and see which system works best, btw people who think people will always have low standards keep forgetting they are also part of those people, they just have to low expectations and are entirely not worth listening to, everyone starts out not knowing anything, the expectation is to make role models out of people who are more mature with how they handle matters, and for those who don't want to be mature, like survival of the fittest, or the weak should fear the strong, yeah no, I ain't being forced into others pointless wars over complete nonsense that can be achieved with ones own ability to think.
