Okay, so the tally so far goes like this: Jelly: 1 sacrifice Ben: 1 sacrifice Both live: 1... If you don't count the fact that Ben's character goes back to the castle for whatever reason.
Two things I kinda liked about this: The fact that Ben was the only one with any say in the sacrifice, and how the game threw a precision reading puzzle at the duo with a dyslexic man.
I can't believe the alchemy puzzle was just a fantasy version of an organic chemistry test- unclear and convoluted steps, names that are far too similar to each other, and breaking down other components to get the things you actually need in a reaction.
14:25 an interesting way to tweak this would be for the differences to be traps in one room, and collectables in another. You'd have to figure out which one is the "real" version of the room via context clues (for example, looking out a window to see which clock is displaying the correct time, or figuring out a pattern of books on a shelf and not touching the ones that don't belong)
In the knight puzzle, the button player can actually shine a light on some of the banners for the lever player (I believe by opening curtains but I don’t recall fully). It’s just so irrelevant that when I only discovered it on a second playthrough with swapped riles.
It's gonna be so crazy to see you cover We Were Here Forever. My sister and I got stuck on a puzzle in that game and haven't been able to finish it. So I'm excited to see how you guys do and what your opinions are lol.
“To most people, seeing this book would be a little worrisome. Those are very long and complex words. But for Jell, this is bad. Because he’s dyslexic!” I feel bad that I laughed at this part because of how much it was emphasized. I feel bad for Jell in that moment.
oh man, just wait until you get to we were here forever. as soon as i saw your video on the first one, my friend and i delved into all four (five including friendship) games. four was by far our favorites, but DOUBLES the time of this game. hopefully you'll love it too, even if its so much more story based.
2:08 something about Ben talking, then screaming, then talking again like nothing happened is so funny. Ben just has such a calm voice, then the scream happens. also 8:00
Oh man I've thoroughly enjoyed this series! You guys always get me laughing and it's a fun way to play along vicariously since I don't have friends that'll play puzzle games with me haha. Awesome video and, again, great commentary.
nonono, wait. lemme cook up the lore for you. from what i heard in the video, the king of that castle did an oopsie and doomed his country. i assume that the oopsy was related to seeking power and included the soul stone and the dagger. he probably made a deal with the jester character. he seems to be some evil being. so the king crafted the soul stone for the jester to complete the deal, bet the jester tricked him and became powerful like in the ending. the queen(ghost woman) was probably killed in that incident and tied to the castle. the king used the soul dagger to sacrifice himself and shatter the stone into pieces, and since the jester couldnt interact with it and because one of the pieces was lost during the shatter, he needed someone else to fix the stone. thats where we come in, being the fools who restore the stone with the jesters help and the dagger with the queens help. the jester becomes strong again and wreaks havoc, but the queen repaired the knife, so one of you dies to break the soul stone again and the other one walks out, sends a SOS signal and probably also dies. and thats when the next pair of ice climbers come in to continue the cycle. yeah, the game appears to be a loop as well. you would think that the queen and the joker would get tired of never ending repetitions of the samepuzzles, but the occasional speedrunner phasing through walls and breaking dorrs is enough to keep them from losing their minds. yeah, thats that. i have no idea if thats the actual lore, i just made it up after watching this video. no, i wont go see the actual lore, this is my canon now.
Yo this game has Valves and Chimeras. Half-Life and Resistance reviews confirmed 👌 Jokes aside, great video Ben! Your reviews of coop games are always a treat. I've been marathoning a lot of your videos recently and your comedic timing has been really great. Keep up the good work lad ✌
I was so excited when I heard my track in the closing thoughts! I am really happy with how it turned out. Thanks Ben and as always, that was an amazing video! I will need to check out the We Were Here series.
I've only played forever with my friend and seeing these kind of puzzles makes me really appreciate how much simpler and fun the puzzles were in that game. Except the puppet and music puzzles
Great video! I played this with a friend a bit ago (haven’t gone back to play the other role yet). The story was underwhelming for me too, though my partner didn’t tell me any of their cutscenes- so when the ghost suddenly appeared, it felt like I was just slapped with story. Quick note: you completed the maze at the start in 10 MINUTES?! It took me THREE HOURS, HUH?!?
beeeeennnn please play siren!! it’s made by the creator of the first silent hill, it’s uncanny and spooky, and it has vague puzzles that has clues in the manual!!!
YES I was actually really hoping you’d cover the third game! a friend and I tried out the first two after watching your play through, and now we can see the third!!!
Its nice being able to see another part of we were here and I hope the next video about it won't take a year its fun being able to hear other people opinions and reactions to this series, I'm slightly sad that there was nothing about the soundtrack of it or at least the main theme as this is my favorite from all the games. Regarding some stuff 19:16 Jell was able to move blinds behind armour stands that would shine light for the other person showing what colors there were, 22:24 the "fourth" game the friendship came after forever so forever is fourth and friendship is fifth. forever is story heavy and the friendship to not spoil anything is like a tech demo for future games. At the end my small advice when you play forever make sure to to really check how the characters looks and how the walkie talkie looks as they tell a little story that only people who played previous games might realise and remember how the other games ended. I would like to ask did you manage to do a secret puzzle in together that was at the start of the game as I did not saw anything regarding it in the video
The smug expression as Jell wails in despair was fabulous. "Yeah, I'm the one sacrificing myself. What you gonna do about it, bitch?" The banter between the two of you and the editing is perfect. I'd love to watch a separate video of these recordings in full. Does Jell have a vods channel/ will you upload it to the second channel?
Heyya! so sadly no especially for games like this we enjoy having a private session specifically for these sorts of games just because of the pressure, BUT! Once a blue moon ben and i will be live on my Twitch! Have a lovely day!
The story of the series is confusing, primarily since it doesn't tell you outright. It starts in We Were Here Too, but it's told in hidden books in the poor lighting, so even if you find them, it can be hard to read and understand
And, as is customary for this series of games, the two players disagree on who must die, both wanting it to be themselves. Unlike the other two, the players don't have to agree on it and one person makes the choice, so it's obvious who's going to die. This series, 3 for 3, has proven very depressing because of this.
I've been a huge fan of the We Were Here games since i found out about them a few years ago, so seeing you go through the entire series is amazing, i hope you and jellratt do the newest game 'We Were Here Expedition Friendship' i wanted to play it with my at the time partner but we never got to it. It's a fun game to watch though.
I recently played this game with a friend, and the fuse puzzle was ABSOLUTELY the worst. I agree that it was poorly communicated! Took us forever too, and both of us love puzzle games! (We also accidentally solved the final puzzle the same way.)
22:24 Wait did these get switched (Ben says 4th being 12 and 5th being 3) From personal experience I'd say the 5th is longer but that's cause my friend and I took lots of breaks
YAY! I’m so glad you guys are playing the third game! I’ve been waiting FOREVER! Watching Grizzy and Pezzy play was funny, so I am glad to see y’all have fun too! …4th time: May you please consider playing Purple by Scopiophobia Studios…? If not, can you at least just confirm maybe a reason why or just tell me you cannot play it…?
Part of me would love to see your full playthrough of this (maybe edited, since it sounds like there was quite a bit of not much happening). Just the idea of a dyslexic man desperately trying to convey those overly long names sounds hilarious. That aside, that alchemy puzzle sounds like it might actually have been interesting if it was single player. Splitting the info between two people just made things get exponentially harder.
Hey ben! I dunno if youve ever heard of it but the snes point and click horror game Clock Tower is really good, and I think youd like it! Id love to see a video on it from you personally.
Day 177 of reqeusting you to play Oneshot and your turn to die death game by majority also does youtube think I'm a bot on your channel with these messages me thinking of this day 46.
lol i love these games but wwhtg is definetly the most complicated one imo. i had a much easier time in wwhf. except for the underwater puzzles... scared. anyway i do really enjoy the lore of this game even if you didnt. i hyperfixated on this game for a couple months this year and it was really fun
The vibe between Ben choosing to sacrifice himself and his avatar being just either chill or smug always makes fun moments
_"Guess I'll die"_ energy.
Makes sense for the smugness in that moment lmao
Ben and Jell's "who can sacrifice themselves more" in We Were Here games is my favorite reoccurring bit lmao
Ben and Jell arguing over who's supposed to die will never get old.
20:37 - The smug satisfaction of being able to sacrifice yourself while Jell is powerless to stop it.
The fact that poor Jell got stuck with that alchemy puzzle is tragically hilarious. Love seeing you two play together again!
Oki bby boy I love you……AAAAUUUUGHHHAAAAUAAUUAUAGGGHH
Okay, so the tally so far goes like this:
Jelly: 1 sacrifice
Ben: 1 sacrifice
Both live: 1... If you don't count the fact that Ben's character goes back to the castle for whatever reason.
please play cat in the box. it’s a horror rpg game that doesn’t even have reviews. its so underrated and it’s sad it doesn’t have recognition
Now im curious, Ill have to check it out!
I second the cat in the box recommendation. It's pretty good and very underrated
YES!! ITS SUCH A GOOD GAME
Oh god i hope he make a video about it i loved cat in the box game😢❤
Cat in the Box is so good it deserves more attention
babe wake up, they were there again!
y'all aint stupid. my best friend and i are veteran puzzle game players and we struggled a lot in this game, more than any other We Were Here game.
Two things I kinda liked about this: The fact that Ben was the only one with any say in the sacrifice, and how the game threw a precision reading puzzle at the duo with a dyslexic man.
Thank you so much for highlighting our games and creating this awesome content. We've had a fun watch! 💙 ~ Total Mayhem Games
So cool!
MY BEAUTIFUL BOYS!

I love this channel so much.
In, out, gives a concise review that still maintains character and stays unique. It's chill.
Woooo WWHT!
Can't wait to watch Ben and Jell compete to see who gets left behind (Again)!!
It's gonna be so crazy to see you cover We Were Here Forever. My sister and I got stuck on a puzzle in that game and haven't been able to finish it. So I'm excited to see how you guys do and what your opinions are lol.
At the final cut scene, we were here together. I just like how Ben’s character is just smiling.
“To most people, seeing this book would be a little worrisome. Those are very long and complex words. But for Jell, this is bad. Because he’s dyslexic!”
I feel bad that I laughed at this part because of how much it was emphasized. I feel bad for Jell in that moment.

Walkie talkies are a horror game’s best thing to communicate!

I've been waiting for you to review the other games. I revisit your other videos pretty often, so it's nice to have a new video to add to that.
20:20 - Most heart breaking death in gaming history... Rest in Peace, Ben.... 😔 [again]
BENAGAIN VIDEO, BENAGAIN VIDEO!!! WEE WOO WEE WOO!!!
Yo this game has Valves and Chimeras. Half-Life and Resistance reviews confirmed 👌
Jokes aside, great video Ben! Your reviews of coop games are always a treat. I've been marathoning a lot of your videos recently and your comedic timing has been really great. Keep up the good work lad ✌
dyslexic gang stay together! we will survive the puzzles! maybe, id of been dead many many times
I love the self sacrifice thing, it is really funny to imagine the characters saying it like how dare you i was supposed to sacrifice myself
I was so excited when I heard my track in the closing thoughts! I am really happy with how it turned out. Thanks Ben and as always, that was an amazing video! I will need to check out the We Were Here series.
20:34 I'm starting to think Ben is suicidal...
"NOOOO!! BEN!"
**Ben cassualy ejoying the pain**
one person used to make stone steps
My friend and I played through all the games except for the newest expedition. They were all so fun and frustrating at the same time.
Yay! I love seeing you guys play these games!
Great Video!
Tf you mean great video, it was just posted
@@vectorisacatlol-gi3ol I'm predicting how great it'll be.
Thanks for another video. It's always awesome seeing you two flail thru coop stuff 😃
I've only played forever with my friend and seeing these kind of puzzles makes me really appreciate how much simpler and fun the puzzles were in that game. Except the puppet and music puzzles
New Ben Again video! Love this series and the clips of you and Rat, the chaos is top tier haha (also thnx for the free gamer supps lol)
5:38 thats the most shortest sponsor segmen ive ever seen
I love it
Ben is great ^^
"except that jell is dyslexic."
oh fuck, puzzle difficulty maximum.
easy way to know who's gameplay you are watching: ben has the steam fps counter on the top left of the screen lol

You two have amazing chemistry together. Can't wait to see you guys again

beeeeennnn please play siren!! it’s made by the creator of the first silent hill, it’s uncanny and spooky, and it has vague puzzles that has clues in the manual!!!
Day 5 of wanting the funni skeleton year 3 (still going determinated)
I’m happy to see another one of your videos out. Thank you.

I would love to see Ben try to wrap his head around Myst, Obduction, Riven, and Quern.

I had no idea it was a series to begin with. All of them have kinda the same name.
6:12 i can't believe he missed the opportunity to say "Fog" as a rhyme
a pet peeve of mine is that they made the jester/puppet too detailed and chatty. the undetailed shadow monster with unblinking dead white eyes
