    1. Take the racket back high but with the strings tilted down
    2. Doing this will help keep your swing from getting too big and make it easier to time contact

Rublev does the head on the hitting shoulder so intensely, it's like the rest of his body swivels around his head

thanks for the style analysis... look at the wrist work this is generating sooo much power here. But before you control this motion...

Ryan, this tip really helped my forehand a lot. It seems to simplify everything which I need. The less I have to do the better. It seems it help with having the face closed throughout the stroke.

Very useful lesson, thanks. I have a similar backswing to him, but I find when filming my shadow swings that I'm not getting much wrist extension / racket lag. I thought I may have to revert back to a longer takeback with a more vertical racket.
Also heard that shadow sings won't allow for max wrist extension, I should rather record myself hitting rallies do see the lag effect. What do you reckon?

Hello. Thanks for this lesson! I had a question. I am trying to learn how to slide on hard courts and clay courts. Do you know any drills that I could do so that I can efficiently learn to slide? Thank you!

On clay courts it's pretty simple just make sure u have balance . But on hard court u need to work on ur physical fitness a lot cause it's tough . Make your knees strong . Use a hard court shoe too that gives u more protection and has strong material .

I have been rebuilding my forehand and backhand to be "next-gen", and what Rublev is doing here - and what he just did in the Western & Southern Open - is exactly the current "next-gen" forehand. More efficient, more power with some parametric acceleration, and more consistent. Maybe the human maximum has finally been reached?

I like his technic, only one minus - just watched him vs Zverev and Alex shoot much stronger and kept him in defence ((
