    How do I get this "Working with airbag modules" work sheets ? On your website, you have all the "work sheets" on the locksmith kits. I bought the locksmith #2 kit and toughbook. You say on your videos if you buy one of your kits, you can upgrade by buying the accessories needed. I would like this work sheet for airbag modules and willing to pay you for this if possible and any accessories needed to complete this.

      Since you purchased the Toughbook it comes with the airbag files already installed. If you would like a copy of the physical airbag addendum send an email and we'll provide it for you.

    So for the airbag light to be removed. Everything needs to be fixed already. Seatbelt, airbags.. etc once that is fixed and you clear the crash data, it should turn off the airbag light? Or would you still need to remove it with a scanner

    • @andromedaresearchlabs7826
      @andromedaresearchlabs7826  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Your comment abruptly ended. I assume you reference a scan tool. The answer is that if the microcontroller in the module scans the eeprom and the contents does not contain crash data (virgin state) then the airbag light will go out. If it does not rescan for the cause. The code in the microcontroller determines if the SRS system is functional.

      The PATH command is a command in our software. It's in the main command list. To set the working path, where you will load or save files, you press P and choose the drive or folder.

    Hello.
    How do you know where are the crash code ? Do they always appear as 0x78 or "X" when set and always as 0x00 when unset ? And why so many byte to store crash data that only appear as 0x78 or "x" ? Aren't they related to the number of airbags or to other information ? Don't they inform about how hard was the impact (in g or m/s² in SI standard) ? I don't see the advantage of having bigger EEPROM to store more data when it stores only a bunch of 0x78s.

    • @andromedaresearchlabs7826
      @andromedaresearchlabs7826  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You don't know. There are services and software which has determined where the data is stored. Why so many bytes? Ask the folks who wrote the airbag code. They decide what to save and where.

    • @Llop66
      @Llop66 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@andromedaresearchlabs7826But to understand well, the services or software you talk about, I guess they compare clear or virgin module with some with crash code set to deduct the byte that indicate crash code ? You didn't respond if set crash code always appears as 0x78 or "X" when set and always as 0x00 when unset. I think I noticed that was the case when you made the demonstration on different airbag module in this video.

    • @andromedaresearchlabs7826

      No. We have a comprehensive set of templates for eeprom based airbag modules. If we do not have a template we provide guidance to crash data removal websites.

    Hi how about the climate control modules that i think just store the data in the big chip?

    • @andromedaresearchlabs7826
      @andromedaresearchlabs7826  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If the data is stored internal to the module microcontroller (eeprom is on the silicon) then there is no communication standard directly to the part. In other words, unlike eeproms, microcontrollers have no standard connections or protocols. They're all different. The only option is via J2534 assuming your tool and the module supports the commands required to access the module data.

    If you have a module, containing crash data, and you want to reuse this module on a similar vehicle model in the future.
    Can you make the module VIN free and install it, in the new similar vehicle, and it will be adopted by this vehicle, and have it's VIN number? 🤔

    • @andromedaresearchlabs7826
      @andromedaresearchlabs7826  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's might work but programming a virgin file is the only 100% guarantee for success. Also the module model numbers must be identical.

    Why can't you just swap the eprom

    • @andromedaresearchlabs7826
      @andromedaresearchlabs7826  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You can as long as you know what you're doing and don't make a mistake. Swapping the eeprom is three soldering operations' removal of the target, removal of salvage unit and cleaning the pads then soldering the source on the salvage assembly. Also if you break a pin or lift a track your path back is gone. In circuit cloning is faster and safer. Attach to source part, read, move the clip and program.
