I can picture... picking up the map... looking towards my left, and seeing the fog covered town... in the distance... with a lake beside the town... amazing work!!!

Somehow I find it unimaginable myself.... without this community things would hardly have come this far.
This one is so haunting that it gives me the shivers. Also, the name you chose for this track has an ambiguous meaning to me, like... Is it an old friend or family member that's telling me to stay away, or... Am I the one that doesn't want someone in my life anymore? Either way, it feels so eerie. Impressive work as always, I love it.

There's stories of people just walking off into the mountains or woods, never to be seen or heard from again - not creepy stories, but ones filled with mystery and wonder - and it gives the feeling that those people just went off the grid to maybe escape the stresses of society. This track makes me think of those deeply... Gorgeous 😐😑🤍💙
I've been told such stories as well. It's like some people at one point in their life read the manual called "How to disappear completely" and then vanish, taking everything with them.

Felt the same way. I went so far and asked my AI about it the other day. The reply was that Mary wasn’t in the back of the car, but what else would they say, huh? Better not believe them. I know I don’t.

Its ridiculous how much I listen to you. I've sold almost everything from my relationship, but I'm keeping a sound bar and subwoofer just so I can play you in the apartment I'm moving into. I've loved a lot of music in my life. Enya, Godsmack, Type O Negative, Enigma, and many others. None have accumulated as much playtime in my life as you have, and I have listened to you for less than a year. I love walking home along the Seattle waterfront listening to you in the mornings. I loved sitting on my porch in the middle of winter listening to you as the snow fell. Or floating around the lakes out here in Kitsap fishing with my ex to you in the summer. Even in my darkest times after my ex left, I'd just lay in bed to your music. You are a gift to us all. Keep on keeping on man.

However it works, I'm happy to give back a tiny bit of what I myself have received. While reading your lines, I literally saw the described scenes in front of me. Bittersweet. You will make it. This makes me think of being parked by a cloudy beach for some reason with seagulls off in the distance. The blue leather and map just give off those vibes. Excellent piece of music as always. It’s always a pleasure to listen to your work and the messages you convey through your thought provoking music ❤👍
It does make sense that the dreary blue in the image reminds you of the dreary sea. And you also recognized the seagulls immediately - these are the skills of a long-term listener!
This song pays justice to the same track that is playing on the game! I thinks is called a forest trail. Its like hearing the song from SH2 remake!

You evoke a rather similar signature style in the vein of the saga. With personal touches. And although it seems simple, it is not. Of course I admire the work of Akira Yamaoka. Silent Hill is my favorite survival horror for several reasons. You did a good job!
Listening to this again, it really sounds like the "Siren" game (or "Forbidden Siren" as it's known in the PAL regions) with this ethereal feeling. And the seagulls remind me of the resort district in the first game (the district after the sewers). Speaking of which, are the seagulls in Silent Hill 1 monsters/creatures too? Or are they just disembodied voices conjured by Alessa?
I remember Forbidden Siren. It didn't have a save like theme, or did it?
Resort district always was my favorite. However, I must admit that I cannot remember if there were any seagull sounds in SH1. That being said, I prefer your second thought, i.e. them being conjured by Alessa.
@@SurvivalSpheres Siren didn't have a save theme, but hear this "undulating" sound (for lack of a better term) at 0:06 or 1:16 in this song of yours? It really reminds me of "Arato" from Siren. As for the seagull sounds I just checked and what I took to be seagull sounds is some kind of disharmonic violin/string instrument that plays after you leave the sewers. No idea why I thought it was seagulls, but oh well :). I guess that's how seagulls in Silent Hill would sound like :P. (Sorry about the late response, I saw the message one week ago at work and then forgot to write back).
Great work! I like how well you balanced static/mysterious bird-like noises with the soothing synth chords. How long does it take you to mix these? They always feel so immersive and full.
Thanks Dylan! I can't really tell how long average mixing takes, because for me composing and mixing are not separate from each other, but rather happen in parallel. The small majority of songs is made in about three sessions between 1,5 and 3 hours each, spread over 3 consecutive days. For the rest it can take anything from one single day until several weeks, including long pauses in between. It's all quite chaotic and impossible to make out a healthy structure! :-D
