It's hard to express in words for me, but you really captured the essences of "comfort," "alone" and "snow" here. The music just sounds and feels cold and isolating, but not in a scary or uncomfortable way. A peaceful way.
Comfort zones were been my favorite. Didn't realy liked the horror survival part even tho this is the exact reason why those zones are so comfortable and relaxing after the stressfull situations..
here from northern california at 12 am listening, depicting in my mind what is like to be in that place: empty alone cold and snowy below a dark-grayed sky searching for some relief. Thank you for what you’ve done here
I remember when I was younger, late at night, watching heavy amounts of snow through my window falling so quietly. It felt strange, not uncanny, unsettling, or safe, just strange. This kinda reminds me of that feeling, great work as always 👍👍
hearing this type of dark ambience music during the late night hours brings me so much peace... like, is a type of peace of mind that I can't have on my day on day basis.
The Shattered Memories is my favorite Silent Hill game. I only loved 1-3 ones and this one felt so similar to them yet so different. It had the best from OG games and embodied a new type of gameplay and approaching the player. Having your entire personality analyzed just by playing the game on PSP was insane. And you know what's more insane? It literally described me in the end of the game. I felt like I was losing my mind for a while.
Awesome, rare to find another Shattered Memories enjoyed. I love this one for similar reasons but the thing that really stuck with me was while I was playing and I had neared the end I made a joke to myself saying that during the therapy session I was probably going to walk through the door and interrupt it. Blew my fucking mind when it happened. It really hit me, the whole twist and tragic ending easily made it one of my favorites.
Silent Hill Shattered Memories gets hated on way too much. I mean I get it, because it’s different compared to the other games. But as a fan of the whole franchise, I genuinely enjoyed this game. My only predicament with it, is that I wish it would’ve been longer and maybe not been considered a remake. Other than that, I loved this game. My first game for the PSP. I’d give anything to play these games again, for the first time.
THIS KIND OF AMBIANCE SPECIALLY WHEN I PUT HEADPHONES IN MY EARS, LYING IN BED IN THE DARKNESS OF THE NIGHT SWALLOWED ME WHOLE INTO NOTHINGNESS BUT WITH A STRONG AWARENESS REMAINS, I FORGOT 90% ABOUT MYSELF, WHO I AM RELATED TO THE WORLD AND ITS CONCEPTS?.... ONLY AWARENESS REMAINS. IT IS LIKE SEDATIVE... BUT I AM HALF WAKE. YOUR WORK IS PHENOMENAL MAN... THANK YOU SO MUCH... IT IS AXIETY KILLER
Silent Hill music and ambience makes me want to travel around the woods, highways and towns of the American north-west in winter. The vibe and aesthetic from SH ambience is just impeccable.
This song gives me dying light vibes ,siting on top of the tower in a summer day, feeling the hot breeze while looking at the city and skyscrapers in the distance🏝
These Silent Hill ambient tracks are some of the most mesmerizing I have heard. I am a writer who uses music as an inspiration for my writing, and these tracks are perfect for my horror novels. Thank you so much for sharing these amazing works of art! I can't wait to hear more!
This has to be my favourite from Midwich, can imagine a cut scene in this cold environment with this music playing "Don't know where I am, Don't know where I'll go, don't know where I'll be but I'll never stop until I find you, you are my hope Sarah. Once I've found you, I've found home".
Incredibly relaxing and nostalgic. Silent Hill OST never fails to deliver. I haven't had the pleasure to play this game but the soundtrack is incredible and the imagery is very soothing. I bet the experience for PS2 players was phenomenal. A man outside late at day with a flashlight in the snow looking at a bridge with the grey sky and clouds above him just tells so many words. Beautiful and ethereal. I love the cold breathing animation. PS2 was such a legendary era for gamers.
While working, this video has really helped me to keep my stress under control. As a fan of the series, I wanted to thank you for your work, this really is something special
Can already tell this is a banger. Youre one of the few who can preserve the essence of what makes the Silent Hill OSTs great. Which is awesome for me because I can keep getting the feeling I had from the first times I heard the originals 🩶🌫️ thank you for the care you put into these short moments of rest!
@@suorsodavit7421 no, it's not a true silent hill because it completely disrespected the source material and has one of the dumbest plots in the series. It's an insult ot SH1. Someone with a weird fanfic was given the budge to make it into a game.
I remember when nobody wanted me, I went to an abandoned small bridge in the winter at 9pm and looked at it in the dark. I did not feel anything. And I realized I could anything
If you are reading this, i hope you are having a fantastic life. If you feel down or feel like you're nothing, there is always someone here to help you. Much love to everyone 😊
I recently played this game you capture the feels of its ambience perfectly, maybe even more leaning to ambience from S.H 1 & 2. Feels like you're in an abandoned place and it doesn't matter which way you walk its always bringing you place to the center. I sometimes try to make S.H, RE inspired ambience as well, but the way you make it is really something different more mesmerizing and immersive and the textures and other sounds slowly going away and coming back. Amazing work to listen too, keep it up bro🌊🌊🌊🌃💯💯💯
very good job on those dreamy synths. You captured the typical vibe quite nicely. It also feels original and fresh though. If i would be an director for an silent hill game, did not have Yamaoka on hand hell id hire you.
With passion, original sample libraries Yamaoka used for his SH soundtracks (these sample CDs where extremely popular for video game composition back in the days) and multiple oldschool hardware synths. You can find more informations about them in my community posts. And thank you very much! ^^
Ah, Silent Hill, most peaceful town in US. Pleasant weather, quiet neighborhoods, great availability of medical care... People a bit gloomy, but who isn't nowadays?
"Where did you go?" As I contemplate the question of my destination, I come to the realisation that I do not have a sense of belonging to any particular place or person. Instead, I exist as an ethereal entity, akin to the ever-changing wind that dances from a gentle breeze to a tempestuous stormy night.
Memories, like water, can take any shape. They can both cleanse, yet also be corrupted. One inescapable truth is that each represents a moment in time, forever trapped now in a stillness, left behind and impossible to revisit. Like signposts down a one-way road that seems to stretch on forever, the only thing more unnerving than the thought it is truly endless, is that it is not. Looking back to ground oneself at these signposts, they become increasingly distant and inevitably distorted, until there is no certainty left and, perhaps, some may even change, or be something new merely reminiscent of a memory long passed. It's all any memory could ever hope to become.
