@@toddthezondalover645 Little bumps at the apex to establish your space in a sportscar is fine. That's rubbing. Rubbing is not physically pushing another car off track at exit because they have a better line than you. That's just a lack of skill. Same thing in open wheel cars. Getting a better exit and giving the outside car a little squeeze is fine. Shooting past the apex and fully running the outside car out of road, risking a crash is a Verstappen move and dumb. I will never like the "Yield or crash" mentality as it kills good side-by-side racing.

I mean he’s good but there’s not much potential seats for him in the big events since Estre and Vanthoor are basically guaranteed. Preining is starting to assert himself as the lead Porsche junior with Andlauer right behind. It was a fight between him and Guven to get the seat this year but as we know Manthey went for Guven. There’s still hope to see Heinrich in green but I think it’ll be in a few years
Makes me laugh that bmw and Ferrari got penalties post race at Daytona because they out performed their BOP but before Lexus crashed out they were keeping up and then Sebring rolls around and Lexus are still 0.5 seconds a lap clear in qualifying and were superior in pretty much every aspect during the race. If Porsche , corvette or any other manufacturer was 0.5 seconds clear in qualifying they would have had BOP changes through the night . Still it was brilliant racing yet some what of a predictable outcome

I've only been following SRO and DTM series for the most part and just started watching IMSA and yeah, there seems to be a LOT more wiggle room compared to the european series apparently. Which is more entertaining I guess, more spectacular and all that - just seems kinda unsportsmanlike when you're not used to it.
These are the videos I live for. The broadcast mostly focusses on the GTP overall lead battle so we dont really get to see this. Amazing to see 6 different manufacturers battle for the win. Great voiceover and a nice cheeky day/night transition.
DUDE I AM SO GLAD YOU POSTED THIS. The Peacock/NBC stream became so focused on the GTP fight that it missed 95% of the GTD-PRO fight for the finish. Seb and Deletraz were awesome in their own right, but the GTD/GTD-PRO charlie foxtrot was an epic fight. I just wish juncadella and heinrich didn't have that oppsie.

This series always delivers some great racing. More often than not we get last lap battles in multiple classes...no other series consistently delivers that kind of racing like IMSA does.
You're an amazing commentator, and this is very well done. Really good story telling, and cutting it into bite sized portions that made sense with just a little bit of backstory. This really comes together beautifully for me, and the 30 minute video is perfect - especially for focusing on the fights between cars over a 12 - 24 hour race. You have my subscription and attention, sir!

As someone who just started watching these IMSA races this channel is exactly what I needed! I subbed before even finishing the video. Awesome commentary and great work piecing all the action together as I'm sure it's painstaking work.
Awesome video format! I would watch every video you post like this. I was at the race and while we keep track of key developments via the timing you miss so much of the story. It’s also hard to keep 100% in step with network delays and what not. This is a stellar recap with just the right amount of detail, hope to see more like this!

Watching formula 1 mostly, i was shook at the amount of swerving and aggressivity of the drivers, but im good its so good. No blue flags, defending as hard as you can, on a bumpy track like that, absolutely insane to watch, and your commentary is top notch, you got me real engaged!
The clutch thing (from the 77 car to save fuel) might not be that important but I really appreciate you put it in there, I always enjoy these small little things teams do to get an advantage, thank you!
There was more racing action in the last 10 minutes of this race than the whole 2024 f1 season so far. I start to think that endurance slowly becomes the real peak of motorsport. Also, the prototype battle for overall win was crazy too. Still a bit annoyed by that no4 vette, they should really fix their blue flag rules. Anyways, great work man! Wow. I knew this battle had been intense, but this was absolutely crazy! Some of the driving standards by the 14, 77 and 4 cars were a bit iffy, but it was still mostly fantastic door to door racing. Wish the broadcast showed the slower classes more, though of course during the final part the Acura vs Cadillac battle was brilliant as well. Overall this has been the race of the year in any category so far. Bonkers stuff all across the field.

A front engine car out handling a mid engine car seems a little off, no wonder Ford ditched the GT for the Mustang for these races.

I feel very confident that VSR could produce similar results in a LMP2 or GTP.
They're probably the most underrated team in IMSA. Easily on par with any of the other factory operations.
