Its unbelievable ferrari team strategy calls compared to f1. What i like about the le mans is the competition all hypercars kind are competitive in moments of the race, i just hope the gap gets closer next year
@@flyingberserker3965 they haven't won Sebring and SPA. Even they took pole position in Sebring. It's a horrible pitstop call and Toyota won just because of that
@@alialibeyoglu7532 i dont mind losing all season and winning le mans, again they won the most important race. At least they leaned from their mistakes in prior races
The team from F1 and WEC are totally different, not even the same company. AF Corse receives factory support for the car but are run completely separately from Ferrari and have no direct links to them.
I dreamed about a video like this a couple years back these full races are hard to follow and the highlights don’t do it justice. Amazing video I hope your channel continues to grow
Absolutely insane strategy by Ferrari. They made the 51 spin to cause a slow zone so that one of their main rivals would get permanently taken out of the race because of it
I think the last 8 hours were very glossed over, there was an amazing battle for the lead, the Toyota losing its breaks, and then the pit stop where the #51 just sat there for like 2 minutes trying to get started. They had been having some issues nearing the end.
These Ferrari are ferocious, hot damn I would be a huge ass driving one of these ponies the power to do get the job done going around the outside so sick the narrator is pretty slick to thx great video
You're a very talented editor and creator man. You got a sub from me. You make the long form endurance racing very exciting. I'm a huge F1 fan and follow endurance a bit. But after these videos I might have to start watching.
Discovered your channel with "Estre super performance at the ring". Then checked this. What a piece of work you have put here, excellent review. You deserve more public.
I can see his eyes were teary the moment he crossed the finish line as Ferrari won it for the first time in over 50 years and that too in the centenary too. Also the Same man who caused a Slow Zone causing the number 7 Toyota to get spanked from the back getting damage and out of the race. At this point Car Number 51 was meant to win this Edition of Leman's
This is amazing! I know these video's take alot of work, but is it possible to look at how corvette won the gte am class in the same race? The coverage mainly focused on the hypercars and i misses out how it worked its way to front Great vid
Motorsport can be cruel. Sometimes, luck is on your side, sometimes not. I just realized how the slow zone caused by the 51 spin, caused a chain reaction where the 7 Toyota gets knocked out...
Great vid as always Few things 1:The GTE Ferrari got hit by LMP2 car which sent it into the Toyota so this instance a GTE Ferrari wasnt trying to murder a hyper car like usual.Personally these yellow flag rules that have you stop same second as they are waved making car bunch up and end up into each other is really stupid imo.Kobyashi complained that he got penalised for overtaking then returning position so he stopped hard that time of the incident and it made it worse. 2.The Toyota nose change reason was possibly a squirrel that they claimed they hit 3.Did you feel like video was becoming too long to not include some things like the 51 Ferrari 1st stall and Guidi catching up the Toyota afterwards. Hirakawa spin etc.
Yeah I had so much content that I needed to cut some. The rough cut was over an hour. I’m trying to keep the videos somewhat focused too but I didn’t do a great job on that with this one. To me it felt a bit too much like “and then this and then this” versus a narrative arc that I’m trying to achieve. Also with the pit stops, the camera freezes when the car stalls so you can’t see any of the drama onboard.
Shit, I just realized what you were talking about. The first stint with pier guidi when it stalled. Not gunna lie, as an American that took place while I was asleep so I missed it. I tried my best with this, but I'm not perfect and I make (lots of) mistakes.
@1:27 which was probably the biggest duck you to every racing fan in existence... Not like we have a Mister Le Mans, Tom Kristensen or anything.. And @18:56 Kamui Kobayashi's retirement was the biggest heartbreak for me this year. I'm so glad you kept that in there. I genuinely cried as I watched that play on repeat through the night. Such rotten luck, and that GTE... Man I don't have any words to describe how little I though of that driver at that moment. Ryo Hirakawa was another heartbreak at the end of the race, truly not a race for myself as a every loving Toyota fan. Seeing first the Conway, Kobayashi Lopez Toyota getting punted of the road by a Ferrari and then literally under two hours from the end the Buemi, Hartley Hirakawa Toyota fumble it all away st the end. I'm hoping for a return to glory next year for my boys in the Nr 07 GR010 Toyota. What a great recap of a great racing team. They drove perfectly and had the best strategies, hope they can put up a fight next year too, nothing beats good competition to make great racing! Also happy to see Mr Le Mans wave the flag st the end there.
Does anyone know what happened to the Ferrari in the last few pitstops? Like why there was a delay with the car getting started or moving out of the box?
The video is great but incomplete. It miss the last 8 hours, and the Pier Guidi stint on the rain in which the 51 built a strong leadership which prevented the car to be lapped after the spin
You know why I'm happy that Ferrari won Le Mans and why it feels so cathartic? Because it makes Toyota swallow their pride and keeps them honest. Toyota has never truly won Lemans. They were the only runners in the race for the past half a decade which was the most frustrating period of the WEC's history especially for fans. Their previous """"wins"""" mean naught. Nada. Zero. As soon as real competition shows up they can't even win. Sebastien Buemi said it himself "We want to win this edition more than the others to show everybody that our previous wins were legitimate" Well that aged well didn't it? Suck it up toyoters you guys aren't all that after all. Talk about BOP all you want but this is how it is, everyone is onto the same rules they agreed to race under, and besides Ferrari also got added weight. Ferrari Invicta!
As a somewhat toyota supporter I'd say that no it wasnt bop was actually fair and its a good thing that exist otherwise we would have f1 sorts of dominance
@@davitavazneli3506 So with that comment, you admited that without BoP, Toyota would crush any competition with ease, thank you Toyota won all the races up until now except this one where they were hugely nerfed...
