Wow…you’ve really inspired me to get back into playing piano. I’ve been playing ocarina for about a year and after doing it, I felt that an ocarina can only do so much to bring people in. So yeah, a piano should do the trick. Nice performance, by the way! ❤❤❤

@@DavidErickRamos I stopped playing piano a long time ago because one, my parents didn’t consent with me on the matter nor did they explain why playing musical instruments is important. Two, because I’m slightly autistic and I have social anxiety disorder, I got uncomfortable hosting impromptu concerts without even trying. So until I knew that it was possible to go into lesser known instruments like ocarina and get out of the closet outside of playing “Stereotypical Asian girl plays stereotypical instruments like flute,” I didn’t think that there’d be a future for me in music or entertainment outside of playing as either a stereotypical Asian person or a socially awkward person.

Greetings, David. This is such a beautiful arrangement of this particular song!
My only critique of it, is as follows: the mix.
I don't know if it's just a wireless ear-bud thing, or if this song sounds better with plug-in, cord headphones; but I've noticed that (perhaps?) due to the way you mixed this song, or due to the audio equipment you used/your recording set-up, that the overall timbre of the ocarina track sounds a bit 'squeaky' with my wireless ear-buds, but with proper headphones on, the timbre of the ocarina sounds a lot richer.
I know that for all of us musicians we also tend to be audiophiles; but like I stated above, my only critique of this gorgeous track is the mix of the ocarina relative to the other instruments....
Like I wrote above, maybe it's just my wireless ear buds; but I'm sure that when you're mixing and mastering songs you always weigh all of your choices in that creative process in relation to the overall impact your trying to have on the listeners, via the song...perhaps what I'm trying to describe here is merely an end result of that particular ocarina you recorded with, and how it sounds on wireless ear-buds; because the ear-buds tend to lack rich bass frequencies?
I've struggled a great deal with similar decisions in the mixing and mastering processes for my own original music. But, just like with anything in life, one tends to get better with practice/repeated experiences.
Regardless, I deeply thank and admire you David, for being such an inspiration to not only myself, but to so many other people as well! We all have bought ocarinas because of you.
At the present moment, I own two ocarinas. I'm not a very good ocarina player, but I'll eventually gather the courage to record some tunes with them one day, after I further develop my fingering and breathing techniques, my intonation, etc.
The two ocarinas I own are a 12 hole alto in C; and a pendant soprano in G.
