Welcome to Nepal...I am quiet impressed that you contain knowledge on Buddhism.
There are many Buddhist heritage sites around Karhmandu, visit Baudha, Swoyambhu, Namo Buddha and many Buddhist temples in the town called Patan.
Enjoy your stay and stay safe.

Refreshing to see someone who actually understands what these ancient spiritual temples hold and represent for us locals. For many tourists these are just sites but for those who understand they are sacred spaces that hold high imporatance.

Do visit the Golden Temple of Patan! It’s the only temple in that district that holds the ancient 800 year old Sanskrit Buddhist Text of the Pragya Paramita Sutras. You may ask them if you can have a priest perform the Pragya Paramita Ritual for you since it is famed there! All the best! Namaste ❤️🙏🏼

Hi, im from nepal, there is many matas we call which you can visit where essential they are just some people who are chosen and given the ability to invoke a specific deity, I have seen the “possesion” (quotation marks as possesion is usually interpreted negatively) of Kali maa and my families neigbour hwas able to invoke shiva, through this person people come to meet them and seek help with diseases, issues, guidance, karma and horscopes. They will tell you everything about yourself in detail you will be shocked. I suggest you try to find one, a real one. You are pretty much talking with the god there and then. Very important itll tell you what to be careful about, what sadhans you should practice who ur istha deveta is.

When I heard a word " kept" from hinduism.
Even a word Hindu was not in existence during Buddha's time.
      How can you be sure?
People around the world in the past century after century travelled to India and written their experiences and findings about india in their books. For instance explorers from Iran Greek and Chinese.
These people has not mentioned a word Hindu nor even once.Buddhist scholars are known for debates and Buddhism don't have any record of debates with Hindu but we have records of debates with charvak Jain and so on. But no debates with Hindu.
As I am born and raised in culture mixed with Hindu and Buddhist at a glance they both look similar but they are like opposite poles of the globe.
Please find a Buddhist guru for Buddhist and compare it to the Hindu guru.
