I have two of their knives, the company is fantastic but the people behind it make it even better. Having a masters degree and how he explains being a master Blade Smith is perfect and couldn’t be more on point. The only problem is I want more knives 🤣
Great Information and guality of film in knife making. Never knew how much went into making a guality knife. Now I know what to expect in purchasing a great knife. It just proves you get what you pay for. There is an abundance of knowledge in this film and it's not just for people that are interested in becoming a great knife maker however for those of us that wish to purchase a great knife and what really goes into the making of it. Thank you Dave B.
I can see the requirements except the time, would you tell Mozart he had to wait 5 years to be a master musician. If it normally takes 8 years to get my PHD and I can do it in 4 is it less relevant?
I've been delving into how knife makers in Japan become masters and was wondering about how the equivalent here in the USA works, so this video is quite convenient.

Question: is it common to fail the JS first time around? And if you do, what’s next? Try again the next year?
No matter how many time you hit that metal ...You still end up doing stock removal
