    I feel like this whole process for you is a mere formality.
    Thank you for posting so much to TH-cam (and IG)... It really gives us hobbyist/amateurs a good insight into how to improve.

    That was awesome. I never doubted your knife. I had some tense moments regarding your heart at the chopping section. Congratulations Neels!

    Just got into knife making. Found Neels from listening to the Forgecast. I’m named after my grandfather Neil VanDenBurg so I guess that’s kinda neat 🤷‍♂️

    Excellent Master Neels! Brilliant! Congratulations!!!🍾🎊🎈🎉
    So impressive!
    But I couldn’t stop to notice that piece of wood so called 2x4. If you would’ve taken the test in US you would do 4 pieces of “American 2x4” in that amount of time. That piece was a real 2”x4” and such a hard bitch. What wood was that?

    • @NeelsVandenBerg
      @NeelsVandenBerg  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Construction grade SA Pine cut to exactly 2x4 inch. I had the timber cut in 2016 when I did my JS test. Well aged ... 😀

      @@NeelsVandenBerg Figured… And everyone knows that wood grown in dryer climats grows denser then it’s counterparts living in more humid environments like south US.
      Great job fighting the beast!

    I'm gonna be harsh and say that the worst part about the video was the audio quality. If you Amp up the sound qualify (get proper mics) and equalize the sound across the whole vid, then this vid would turn from 4 to am 8 real quick.

      I recognize your talent for knife making, but if you want to make an imprint among the blacksmithing community on TH-cam, you'll need to make some small changes that will net you a big change in the long run.

    • @BigChrisKenney
      @BigChrisKenney ปีที่แล้ว

      I want to see more of your videos but the quality has to improve! Please do so! With a bit of effort, you can be just as popular as any other blacksmithing channel that is popular!

    well, your 2x4 appears to actually be a 2"x 4" dimension? An American 2x4 is actually 1.50″ x 3.50″. Pick an American one next time :-)
