He even complained about 17 18 years old boys not having gfs.He does everything except playing good chess.Recent Tata steel rapid is a dire example of that. He need to understand people won't tolerate his snorty attitude unless he starts producing masterpieces on the chess board not in youtube podcast.

If anything, a world champion who doesn't want to defend his title is fake and isn't worthy of the title. It shows he is scared of the new generation.

Sports usually do not flourish when there's not 1 player that stands above the rest.. It's a bit weird to say that with Magnus in the picture, but he doesn't want the title, so we have work with what we have here.. Gukesh winning would be much better for the chess world.. He's still very young, he still has a lot of time to evolve to improve his play.. His reign could start....He has massive potential... Who knows, if his play evolves that much, he could force Magnus' hand in playing the candidates again..Might spark a new rivalry...
