Let us all hope that both players can play to their very best form (especially Ding can recover his best form and confidence now) so that the matches are not boring nor 1-sided and may the best player win.

Watched the entire thing and noticed there are two ways of replying:
Ding: answer the question exactly and to the point

Of course, one is more fluent in English than the other but still, was interesting to watch 😅

People saying Magnus should’ve played , forget it’s a two person event. They also forgot how boring Nepo v Magnus was 😂 🤦🏽‍♀️ Nepo leaving his seat empty, drawing most times with high accuracy play nevertheless but so many draws , making blunders, Magnus getting shocked and insulted by blunders 😅 was some weird event! Nepo v Ding was actually super exciting to watch with all the ups and downs - it really felt like a battle ! So I’m happy to watch Guki v Ding. I think it will be more entertaining for sure

Are people still hung up on Magnus giving up his championship? I don't think it is a popular opinion anymore.. he just wants to slowly phase out and retire from classical chess which makes sense. It is something all chess players have to choose at some point.
Ding & Nepo was interesting and Nepo vs magnus did have a lot of draws but that really speaks to the style of play from Ding vs Nepo where Ding went for more risky positions to force an imbalance and go for the win.
I expect Gukesh to go for the win as well so I hope he wins it with some really cool concepts and ideas! Hope for a long set too! :)

9! years ago Sagar Shah and his wife Amruta started "Chess Base India' The role they played in the rise of the current generation of Indian chess players cannot be underestimated.
Reference is often made to former greats of Indian chess. Of course Anand played a very important role, however, the current generation is itself responsible for the enormous growth. They, their parents and trainers deserve all the credit. Go Gukesh!

    22:24 bro what-??
Ah, I see where the confusion is coming from! In chess, a "second" does not refer to a unit of time like seconds or minutes. It’s a term used to describe a person who assists a chess player, especially during important tournaments or matches.
So, a "second" in chess is like an assistant or coach, not related to time.

Maurice, some respect please. The way you shot at Gukesh at 21:23 asking “and you?” was rude. Please, he has a name and it’s only basic courtesy to address someone on stage by his name. Thank you!

"it's pronounced how it's spelled" is a nonsensical statement. People with different accents pronounce the same words differently, so we use the international phonetic alphabet to represent pronunciation, not the english alphabet. Please stop commenting nonsense.

There is an interview of Sagar asking Ding how to pronounce it and he explained this.
      Learn more kid.

Best estimate would be 30-50 years. would be top 3 easily, but it’ll be slow rise after that. China and USA are no joke.

@@nellikondaakashgoud9468Yes top 3 is going to be very easy... But china and usa are 20 trillion economies their 3% growth rate is still better than our 6% growth...we need like double digit growth rate to even catch up to them which ain't happening anytime soon...plus the political scene in india is shit so yea i agree with you 30 years minimum

That fide guy was so out of place, who cares about what the market is?
This is a chess conference and instead there's some dude who thinks him talking about money is important enough to interrupt and stop questions being asked
Make a second chess conference for money questions and get that guy out of there, off topic and annoying. He didn't even link it to anything in any way, purely seeing chess as an investment which is a disgrace
