This is the song that my wife and I had our first dance to at our wedding reception!! Which we will be married for 30 years this October!! Amazing Song and Lyrics!!
It is actually Miljenko Matijevic, I know, It's a difficult name, not common and easy to forget and replace it with a name that has nothing to do with the real one.
@@titools4375 Mili literally goes by the name Mike and has his entire life. He only uses Mill or Miljenko when doing pro interviews. The people around him call him Mike. If I'm not mistaken it's on his wikipedia page as well.
First time hearing Steelheart, and of Steelheart. I was wowed, awed, and this was very enjoyable to watch. Everything about their performance was epic, the song, instrumentation, their "stage presence", and most of all the vocals. Thanks for this one, that otherwise would probably have slipped by me. I appreciate your comments and enthusiasm that make great music even more enjoyable to watch.
The drummer is John Fowler. He passed away a few years ago, I believe it was some form of cancer but not 100% sure. I had the pleasure of seeing and meeting these guys quite a few times in the 80s/90s. Fantastic fellas and down to Earth. Great reaction.
Miljenko Matijević is the singer. He’s number one in my book. Their songs “She’s Gone” and “Can’t Stop Me Lovin’ You” are great songs also. Mili did write the music. He starts out with his lower range on “Can’t Stop Me Lovin’ You”.
Miljenko Matijević is truly one of the top 10 singers of the 90's and still sounds amazing to this day. You really need to hear 2 singers that will literally blow your mind. Erik Gronwell who was the singer that replaced Sebastian Bach in Skid Row, check out his female covers of All By Myself and I Will Always Love You. Crazy good. Then check out Ronnie Radke from Falling In Reverse- The Drug In Me Is Reimagined and then Last Resort. Nobody puts as much emotion into their vocals as he does.
I made it. I was here to see you fall in love with a band I've been loving for decades. :) Great reaction. Think i'm going to watch a few more of yours.
I just watched you review steelheart I'll never let you go. I've seen many people review this and hear it for the first time. You had me in tears with your reactions. Authentic, touching, soulful. That boy's got range doesn't he.
Awwh thanks for sharing Milton it was truly transcendental happy you felt it too. And yes he got range for days 😇. I think you would enjoy my reaction video for Don't Know What You Got (Till It's Gone)" by Cinderella. Here is the link for your convenience:th-cam.com/video/alHkLM1NmxY/w-d-xo.html
Miljenko Matijevic’s voice was touched by the Gods. Steel Heart was an awesome band. And could have gone a long way . But a horrible accident happened in 92 at a live show. During the set, Matijevic suffered a traumatic brain injury and faced near death when a thousand-pound lighting truss that was left unsecured on the side of the stage fell on him. He's spent the past 30 years recovering from the incident, not only the physical but the psychological and professional wounds. And Steel Heart didn’t do sound track for “ Rock Star” only Miljenko did. But in very last song in the movie, the song “ Colorful” was done by Brian Vander Ark of the “ Verve Pipe”.
80's and early 90's best decade for hairbands I was a Junior in highschool when this song was released still gives me chills to this day. Where's all my Gen X rockers we can sing all these songs I still go to hairband concerts.
Pure Excellence...for what its worth ..I still remember buying this album back in 1990 at my local Malls Music store back in the day when it first came out on Cassette...will never forget
The 70's and 80's musical scene was/is top drawer. No auto tune, no lip syncing on stage with a real artist singing off stage *except milli vanilli....another story I digress lol* , no bs. Talent ruled the day. It was all about having fun and blowing the roof off the arena!
Mike was incredible...you should react to "she's gone" acoustic....its an amazing live performance. you can hear his range in that song. The drummer, John Fowler passed in '08 RIP
The track Sheila has him singing lower. The track Love Ain’t Easy is more hard driving rock vocals. Both are on the same album as I’ll Never Let You Go. Whole album is phenomenal in my opinion.
Also for a little change up listen to Steelhearts Everybody loves Eileen and Sticky side up. He has so many other songs as well as one a little more current in the last ten years that I sent to my wife on our anniversary a few years back that brought tears to her eye and saved her playlist is called Lips of Rain.
I've been listening to Steelheart for over 20 years. Even though I hate the meaning of the lyrics of all the similar hair metal bands, I love the music and the vocals, including the backing vocals which are also amazing most of the times. Worth mentioning that it's not only the singer who did an incredible job on this song. All the other musicians of this band are super high level players. If you checked out the other songs of this band you can hear it clearly.
Ms. Penpal , your character, and personality, is. So. Beautiful. .. I'm. From. Boston, Ma ... Have. I a song for. you ... SAVATAGE ". When the crowds are gone". ... 1988... 12:53
He's the heavy metal Mariah Carey. Except, he can actually annunciate words in the high register instead of just "whistling". And sorry to break it to you, but the drummer passed away some years ago.
He sings like a Filipino... I'm a counter tenor soprano, I can cover Mariah, Martha Davis, Rindy Ross, Whitney Houston, Ray Charles, Rick Emmitt, Steve Perry, Smokey Robinson. My training came from Tom Jones, Engelbert. I can get to A5, A6 but I have to stay in that range. I prefer to swing low with Elvis covers and land in my own falsetto range. I can only cover this song if I cover Sheriff's When Im with You, first because of both songs end very high and lengthy like Brad Delp on More Than A Feeling. When I sing, I do a set of patterns, like steps, curves, zig zags for vibratos... Its all breathing techniques which exploit chords, keys. A song is not legit if I cannot mix genres, slow up or speed up the pace. Some lyrics match better with songs that have the same roots.
Hi all wow! How well do you know Steelheart?
Let’s connect: linktr.ee/mrspenpal
Listen to She’s gone
Know them well. Actually saw them in concert when I was a freshman in high school "89-90 ."
Love this song
@MrsPenPal My Favorite . Just found it a Month Ago, and I don’t know why I didn’t hear it and remember it Back in 1992🎉 ❤
One must remember that there was no autotune at this time, it was just pure talent, both lyrical and musical on the part of the bands of that time!!
yep, he made it seems so effortless too. amazing
@@katrosper I can reach that tune too. But only in my dreams 🤣🤣🤣
@artosf nice one 😂
This is the song that my wife and I had our first dance to at our wedding reception!! Which we will be married for 30 years this October!! Amazing Song and Lyrics!!
That’s so beautiful ☺️
We also used this song as our couples dance at our reception. Will be 31 years in October too! Awesome!
Nice, congrats!
Mike Matijević is a great singer with a fantastic and powerful voice. The song is a masterpiece.

She's Gone live unplugged. He will blow your mind.

died from a brain aneurysm at 42

Don't forget everybody loves Eileen!
Miljenko Matijević is the lead singer and they came in at the very end of the hair metal era, his voice is incredible and he still sings
Truly
So many people forget about the drums in this song..they are FANTASTIC!

This guy is so underrated. What a gift his voice is. Takes me back to young love in high school in the late 80’s.
The smile on your face says it all. Great reaction! Vocal Range: F2-B5 (3 Octaves + 6 Semitones) Simply awesome!!
One of the greatest voices in rock history right up there with Sebastian Bach
He can still sing just as good now.sounds just as good live also.love steelheart
I made it. I was here to see you fall in love with a band I've been loving for decades. :) Great reaction. Think i'm going to watch a few more of yours.

There is an unplugged performance that the singer and one other band member do that will blow you away. The man is a vocal god.
👏👏...wow!!!...👏👏👏...gere for the shock!!!
She's Gone and Can't Stop Me Loving You are really good
Great song and great voice

If you like this, then you should check out Fly To The Angels by the band Slaughter.
Great reaction thanks 🎉🎉🎉🎉
What a phenomenal voice
Truly
Welcome too my generation \m/!!!...Shes Gone is another great song by them...Rock On!!\m/
Can’t Stop Me From Loving You…it’s amazing…he still sings
"She's Gone". Do the unplugged version with just him and a piano. It won't disappoint.
Listen to "She's Gone" incredible notes in that one. Also, he lent his talents to the movie "Rock Star" with Mark Wahlberg.
Great job ! Loved it ....there are so many from this era it would blow your mind !
I love how much you show your love to the drummers. I was back in the day. Thanks ❤
Awwh that's awesome that you were a drummer 👏🌟

Yes next please react to steelheart " wait " , thankyou really love your channel🎉
They did the songs in the movie Rock Star with Mark Wahlberg and Jennifer Aniston.
Jeff Scott Soto also did vocals for that movie
I'm amazed at how fast he can change his shirt from white to blue!! 😂
😅
Steel heart was 90s .first album 1990
You can hear Stand Up And Shout or Blood Polution by Steel Dragon, if you want Miljenko high and low register.
Mike was incredible...you should react to "she's gone" acoustic....its an amazing live performance. you can hear his range in that song. The drummer, John Fowler passed in '08 RIP
There is NO ONE that can cover that song...maybe a female..but he's the only male singer capable to sing it
👏👏 Great reaction! 🤘
Thanks for watching. Hope your day is going well
It's my favorite song from Steelheart. 👏👏👏 12:08
1990... What a year... Check out the tune "We All Die Young". Nice Reaction. Peace!
Tommy Johansson did a cover of this and he also has a very high register too. Those two have the most beautiful voices! 😊
Great voice. Up there with the lead singer of Slaughter.
My favorite part about reactions to this song is watching the look on the reviewer's face.
You should react to queensryche live in Tokyo 1986. Take hold of the flame 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Listen to She's gone by them. We all❤ the lead singer 😂

“Fly to the Angel” by Slaughter
Another band with a singer with similar vocal range.
Check out SLAUGHTER: "Fly to the angels".
Girl you absolutely must check out the new video by the band called Saphath - Pleiades Map. That's a game changer for symphonic metal, telling ya!
Great band they are from Norwalk Connecticut
MUST react to She’s Gone original video!! 🥰🔥🥰🥺🥰🔥🥰
Two words: Power Ballads The 80's were famous for the power ballads.
Try Steve Marriott, "5 Long Years". He sings and is a great blues player. Find the live version...Wow!

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤👍
🤘🤘🤘
Nice to see you cutie one of favorite bands Miko voice insane range chic highs but male
Saw them in 92 as a kid.... actually an early 90s band. He actually sang on the ROCKSTAR soundtrack the movie with Mark walburg
Lol his vocals shock most first time listeners!
His vocals are so high they made Snoop Dogg green out.
Also look at Take hold of the Flame by Queensryche. It will also blow your mind just like Steelheart
Seen them in 1989 and 2023 he still sounds the same
Take care and God bless you 🙏 😊
You should do the Rockstar soundtrack. All songs are by steelheart
Check out their song called, She's Gone. It's even better and more powerful to me.
Everybody Loves Eileen....next song from Steelheart
If you want to see Steelheart, rock and sexy side, check " Can't stop me loving you", official video.
Not sure if you have but check out Queensryche- Take hold of the flame live in Tokyo 1983.( I think ) Geoff Tate’s voice
You need to listen to Steelheart - she's gone and you cant stop me loving you and also try Firehouse that's all she wrote
👏💯
Try "She's Gone" the unplugged version.
Everybody loves Eileen is a great one.
