Man hair bands were and still are the coolest! Rock ballads will live on forever! Thanks Maddie for giving hair ballads a shot! Takes me Waaay back! Keep listening to more rock ballads! Luv ya Maddie ❤💛
If you liked this you gonna love 'She's Gone'. Especially the unplugged version where its just his voice and a piano. His voice is like nothing else :) Always love watching people react to Steelheart!
Miljenko Matijevic(Lead singer) Steelheart failed to climb the rig and also failed to dodge the 1000 pound piece of equipment, which hit him in the back of the head, driving him face first into the stage. The outcome of the accident was a broken nose, cheekbone, jaw, twisted spine, and severe memory loss. This happened at a live performance. Which ultimately ended Steelheart! He was an AWESOME rock voice. Also did most of soundtrack to movie “ Rockstar” Starring Mark Wahlberg!
Miljenko Matijevic did the signing parts for Marl Wahlberg. Jeff Scott Soto did the singing for the other actor that played the lead singer Jason Flemyng's character Bobby Beers. The guy at the end that Mark Wahlberg pulls up on stage and calls himself Thor is the lead singer from Alterbridge Myles Kennedy.
It didn't totally end Steelheart, more like by the time Miljenko recovered Grunge had begun it's desrtruction of Hair sadly (as a hair metal/metal guitarist of 40 yrs). Steelheart recently released Steelheart 30, they still do shows, Miljenko recently had a severe incident that sounds alot like a stroke that he is recovering from and is expected a full recovery. His duet of Angel Eyes with his daughter is incredible. If you constantly pay attention and stay on the lookout for Michael you will find Steelheart if not on tour at least doing shows.
If you enjoyed his voice( Miljenko Matijevic). You need to check out She's Gone . Go to the Unplugged version. It is mind blowing how high his range can go. Also a side note that while he sings he chews gum.
Yeah, the gum really bothered me because I was so worried. As many times as he tilted his head backward, he was just begging to choke on the gum. It's a miracle that did not happen. Other than that detail, nothing wrong with his performance at all.
Miljenko The Voice Matijevic. I was a three inch earring guy, but the hair has to be plenty longer and fuller than the earrings, and I have 'hair' issues these days. Aaaaaah Maddy, I 'was' something to see lol. Why you never heard of Steelheart? Well, it was just before Nirvana, grunge, Seattle, and depression killed melodic hard rock/hair metal. And there was soooo much product saturating the market near the 'end'. We went from sun, fun, muscle cars, half t-shirts and aquanet, plus a three inch earing now and again, to dirty flannel shirts, unkempt hair, rain, beat up VW vans, depression, and making suicide cool. Stuck in the eighties and damn right.
The seventies and the eighties will ALWAYS be the best music ever made. No auto tune, no special effects', just art at it's finest. People today don't know what they missed. Today there is only melodic noise, that's it.
Thank you for that, Maddie. I knew you'd enjoy it. "She's gone" is the other one I asked you to play, by the same band. Yeah, he's got pipes! Much more than most! His range is phenomenal.
Mili (Miljenko Matijević) is the best rock vocalist bar none. That was from their 1990 debut album. Unfortunately, in 1992 on tour for their second album, while performing in Denver, he had a 1,000# lighting truss fall hitting him in the back of the head, breaking open his head and smashing his face into the stage breaking about every bone in his face. This took years to recover from. In 2001, though, he did the vocals for Mark Walberg’s character in the movie Rockstar. He is back touring with Steelheart today with a new lineup.
Great song and reaction!! Love the earring take. I'm 53 and still have my 2 hoops in my ear since 1986!! Upgraded to platinum because it fits better with my gray hair!! Another fun video!!
Check out Can't stop me loving you she's gone Sticky side up everybody loves Eileen electric love child dancing in the fire can go on forever he's hands down one of best singers ever
This is one of the songs that reminds me of my ex. That guy's voice was off the charts. I'm glad you got to experience it and I love that you noticed the back bend he did. Not everyone catches that.
80s music, songs, prettyboy singers, and amazing vocals. It'll never come back, but 80s lives forever! Like Ratt, bulletboys, Vandenberg, whitesnake, Warrant, Kingdom Come, Triumph, Slaughter, and others! Dude is in his late 50s and can still hit the high notes! The bulletboys lead singer hits the same high notes but with gravel! Check out, Smooth up in ya! Damn shame he almost died on tour in 92, but dang 8n the movie Rockstar with Mark Whalbe4g 8n 2000, and still sings and tours and even does classical music and he's damn good as ever! Dude can sing in damn near 6 octaves 😮😮
The lead singer (Michael aka Milli) wrote this as a testament to his love for his then fiance and soon after wife. there are songe you like. and love. then theres songs like this that go into your playlist . his voice is otherworldly. hide your glassware.
I have NEVER seen anyone react to this song without smiling throughout the whole thing! There's just something about this song - and Milijenko's voice - that illicits a smile! I love it!
A life goal I have is to have this played at my wedding and to be marrying a woman that makes the lyrics absolutely true. Sadly Miljenko Matijević, the lead, had an incident with a lighting rig that mashed his throat and caused a Traumatic Brain Injury. He had to learn to sing and speak all over again. He still performs and he's still got the pipes, though. It's just a shame to think of how much bigger they could have gotten if one venue had secured their lighting properly.
First time i ran into this channel. 80s bands of all genres...u don't know what ur missing. And u with ur heir face teeth eyes, u would be a perfect 80s rocker/video chick 😁!
this WHOLE BAND was GOOD , all SOLID musicians , specially the guitar player , but milli couldnt help but to outshine all of them , he was just too awesome
If you liked this song, and who doesn't, there's a couple of other '80s hair bands whose singers had similar amazing pipes Slaughter - fly to the Angels Firehouse - Love of a lifetime
@ronparsons8786 Very true. Sadly, we'll never get to hear Firehouse sing live (not recorded live) again since C.J. Snare passed away April 5, 2024 of Cancer.😭
He is very lucky to be alive, the lead singer was involved in a on stage accident where stage scaffolding came down and hit him in the back and head. It almost killed him.
I stopped by both of your “SteelHeart” reactions to drop another request for “SteelHeart”- “ You Can’t Stop Me Loving You”. Because you can’t Maddy!! lol You can’t stop me loving all you do!!💙🌹
One of my faves for sure ,came out during a failed engagement with a woman I was crazy over, and still think of to this day 30 plus years ago, makes me tear up a bit hearing it

He did all of the songs that Mark Wahlberg was supposed to have sung. I can't get over how many people actually thought it was Mark lol. I knew it wasn't him bc he can't sing like that, but at that time, I wasn't sure who the actual singer was. Every time I'd try to look it up, it was listed as Steel Dragon. When I found out it was Mili, I flipped out! I dunno if you've seen them or not, but there's vids of him singing them at his concerts. I love them!
Hi Maddy! I just discovered you, and now I just subscribed to you. I see you prefer the softer songs, but I love my 80’s rock. I great compromise is the band Firehouse. They have 2 songs that were popular and good for a wedding song. However, I prefer “When I Look Into Your Eyes” over “Love of a Lifetime.” Either way, you’ll enjoy reacting to either one.
The movie "Rock Star" I believe he does alot of the vocals in it. Fabulous & Fabulously Accurate movie. Has a host of real musicians in that as well. Great Reaction. Peace On Ya
He sings all of Mark Wahlberg's songs. I dunno if you've seen the vids of him performing them at his concerts or not, but if you haven't, you should check them out. They're really good!
Bright Angel, a woman who truly loves you, they will always be the miracle that makes a man's life complete. I've been with my wife 60 years, and I'll never let her go.

Nice. I always loved this song and this band. His voice and the song are so good, it can bring a tear to your eyes. The singer from this band just passed away. She's Gone is another banger from Steelheart. This brings me back to my teens. Thanks for checking them out.

Yes. He survived and the band is currently trying to make a comeback. I hope the best for them, they are all great musicians.

This band was from my home state of Connecticut. Norwalk actually. Played in the bar scene and hung out with these guys way back in the day! 💯👍
