  • Sharing my experience with these stihl garden loppers / pruners. I have only used these for around 3-4 hrs max and already sharpened them 3 times 😂. These loppers are not bad for very light shrub and tree pruning and are considered entry level and medium sized in the stihl range.
    Thanks for watching 👍

I have all stihl battery gear which I’ve been totally happy with regarding performance and durability but this is far from what I’d expect of them so thanks for this review! I’ve got Darlac ratchet anvil pruners which are brilliant and I use felco secateurs and niwaki pruning saws and I’ve always thought will the stihl ones be any good and you’ve definitely made my mind up for me on this as it seems they’re happy to put a big mark up on poor quality steel which is a shame.

Definitely not worth the price, i was disappointed as they felt quite nice initially. but i cant be sharpening them after only 20 mins of work every time. I would need 5+ pairs a year 😅👍

Hey mate, totally agree, poor quality steel, have to re-sharpen regularly! Not the quality Stihl should put there name on…

Yep 👍. I'm lucky i got these at a bargain price so they are only a spare set. I would be proper pissed off if I'd paid retail for a pair though 😂

@@RJLmachinery l also have the smaller PB10, 60cm long, they are worse then the bigger PB 30 like yours!
I got mine cheaper too, because of the amount of Stihl products I buy!
Full price would have been very disappointing…

@@stoneyblack6905 I think the pb30's are the proper pro ones, they might be tougher and better build quality than the 2 low end ones, who knows.

      @@RJLmachinery in a nutshell, mine are the PB30 and they’re 💩.
I’m in Australia, this is about the best we can get for the size! What’s the better brands where you are?
I have been trialling cordless battery powered secateurs that you can push up to 50mm, no problems at all, very compact, super easy on the hands…

@@stoneyblack6905 😅sorry i miss understood, damn those pb30's are pricey as well. 2 good brands i like are Felcos and ARS. I'm looking to get some battery secs as well, hoping makita make one soon. 👍
