Great video Rob. I often use a dremel. Have been using the grinding stones but they go out of square. Good idea using a sanding drum, will try that next time.
Hey Drew, Yeh steel not the best so will likely need regular sharpening, I hate dull tools so I cant win 😂, I will just use this set for light pruning. 👍
Thanks for the tutorial. 😊

Cheers mate, the sanding drums leave a lot nicer finish i find 👍
Hi. Have you tried Stihl 3in1 sharpener? I think it works well
Not tried that 1, i prefer proper hand sharpening as opposed to using set gadgets 👍
Hi, what do you recommend is a good make of shears/loppers? Cheers
Felco or Ars are 2 of the higher end brands.
Hi , great edge … but will the steel not chip again when pruning ? Just not great steel ?
Drew in south Belfast .

@@RJLmachinery , seen those in the local Stihl shop .. hard to get a good pair of loppers .
I had ARS but the holding nut wasn’t very good .
@@MagillGardenservices1964 I have those loppers as well and they have been great for me. 🤷♂
