Erwing Campos you're correct, it's exactly one vs one..smh. Why is it that SOMEONE ALWAYS has to try and make themselves feel right, even when they're absolutely wrong? How many people play defense and how many play offense at the same exact time? lol thank you. :))
Well the moon is larger than some planets so it's large enough to be called a planet it's just that it happens to orbit around another planet instead of around the sun, so it's a very arbitrary definition to call it a moon but not a planet. In theory the moon could be moved into an orbit around the sun, and then the definition of planet would apply. To have two different names for the same exact object depending only on the object's current orbital trajectory is kind of stupid.
Sometimes you can feel when a hone run is coming. I notice that I often can feel when a strikeout is coming, or a double play. Knowing the game intimately and being very observant to even the obscure things going on helps to form an idea of what will happen next.
The prediction in that Mariners game that was covered by Rachael Maddow was a thing of legend. That guy called it to the letter. Even got the 2nd at bat and the second deck right. Incredible.
There's a pretty great game from 2015 where Madison Bumgarner is in the box against the A's. Kruk and Kuip are talking about his approach to batting and how he says "My strategy is to try to hit a homerun every swing..." and right after they say that, he does. Giants end up winning 1-0... but I don't know if that counts as a "called it" homer.
The difference between predicting home runs and predicting my mother in law will eat a cow for her daily snack is that the cow is actually in trouble every time.
The coolest thing is that my dad can make these kinds of calls too... Several times he's been "so and so (whoever is up) is gonna hit a jack right here" and it happens. Not even shitting anyone.
Kuip has a great HR call. High drive, deep, it...is...OUTTA HERE! Too bad as a Giants' fan we rarely get to hear it as the Giants hit fewer home runs than every team in the majors except Miami and Atlanta. And those teams are trying to lose.
Abc Fam A big part of rebuilding is drafting high...and the worst records get the top picks...so if you really think rebuilding teams aren't trying to lose...by methods such as playing prospects before they are really ready or passing on veterans that could get them a couple of WARP...you're either naive...or you don't know baseball. And I say all this without passing judgment on those franchises, that's just what a complete tear-down and rebuild entails.
Me and my dad have called many Nats homers. On opening day it was raining against the Marlins, in the7th, my dad said "Alright, Harper's due, we'll see him hit a homer and go home" Harper did that. I called the Murphy pinch hit game tying homer against Melancon, I also called the Turner homer, and I asked my parents if I could stay up to watch Turner hit the walk off before I went to bed, and he hit the homer, and I called the two walk off homers by Harper this year. I guess I have a pretty good track record.
Once when I still played finnish baseball in junior league, the pitcher started smacktalking me and asked "wanna low pitch or high?" to which I answered "low, I like to hit homers from those". Team mates were laughing at my answer because I was the skinny guy who had never hit a homer. Then came the pitch, first one of the whole match in the first game of the season. It was low, and I hit it just perfectly. Everyone who heard what I said before the pitch just laughed loudly as I rounded the bases for my first home run
2017 Opening Day: Indians vs Rangers. Edwin Encarnacion comes up to the plate in the 8th inning against Matt Bush, 1-2 count. Rick Manning of Fox Sports Ohio points out that Edwin has the best slugging percentage in the MLB specifically against relief pitchers, and Edwin crushes the next pitch.
If you can dig up Jake Arrieta's 2016 NLDS Home Run at San Francisco with the radio commentary, Pat Hughes actually predicted that homer before it was hit
Funny thing about MLB Network is... even when they're "LIVE" they're up to 5 minutes behind the local coverage of the game, so they could easily get the results before going to their look-in.
shmaveyea I don't know if it's the same as a regional delay. I just know I've been on local coverage of my team's game and seen them (for instance) get a walk-off hit, then flipped over to MLB Tonight to see highlights, only to hear Amsinger say, "When we come back, we'll take you to (city) where the (team) have the bases loaded in the bottom of the 9th. Can (batter) come through?" Then after the commercial, they go "live to the park" to show the exact same thing I saw on my local coverage minutes earlier. So I don't know if they just don't get the highlights right away, or lie and claim it's live when they already know what happened, or what.
I do trust Greg Amsinger, though. He's always seemed pretty sincere -- maybe his producers know but don't tell him so he can have his moments. Then again, if you're a smart guy (and I'm sure he is), you have to know there's a reason your highlight show is about to cut to a certain game, that something must have happened.
matrixphijr That's not always true. I've watched many live look ins to sports, baseball, soccer, football, and 90% of the time the result is just a pop out or ground out for baseball, soccer is usually a tied game or one goal game and the look in is into the last moments of stoppage time and its ends the same score, or football it's just a field goal or whatever. From my experience, they just cut to a game that has something going on, sometimes something happens that interesting, but most of the time it's completely run of the mill play.
Chris M I understand. I never said it was always true all the time. But I've seen it happen before that they cut to a "live look-in" well after the situation they look into has ended. That was my only real point -- that it isn't always live.
I actually did this once. lol. I still remember it because of just how it happened. So I was in Moes (Moes is better than Chipotle and if you disagree I'll fight you) feeding my fat face because I'm a fat piece of shit, while watching a baseball game. I wanna say it was Yankees Vs. Red Sox. So since i was a Red Sox fan i was into it because of the rivalry. Aaron Judge comes up to bat and its like the 2nd or 3rd pitch at this point. In my head i say to myself "Why do i feel like he's about to hit a home ru......" and right at that moment he connects on one and hits a home run.
"Look at that load. It's a beautiful load. He's so explosive."
That's starting the day right. lmao
omg i read that comment as he was saying it lol
chaosawaits I was just about to make that comment.
lol
"And the hips turn before the hands come through"
this was the comment i was searching for when i heard him say that lol
That Seattle one was amazing
Sachin Nair 100th like
right before the call the count had gone to 3-1 and Dave was like "I've never been so excited for a 3-1 count in my life" lol
Yeah, but it was on Rachel Maddow, so it’s a shame that nobody saw it.
But it wasn’t in the second deck

BASEBALL.....The only sport in the world that's 1 against 9.....Gotta love it~!!!
Not really 9 vs 1 since they're all spread around the field and not all players touch the ball in a play
Erwing Campos
you're correct, it's exactly one vs one..smh. Why is it that SOMEONE ALWAYS has to try and make themselves feel right, even when they're absolutely wrong? How many people play defense and how many play offense at the same exact time? lol thank you. :))
one player trying to get on base, nine trying to get him out, if this is not one vs nine I dont know what it is.
+Erwing Campos noob
+THEJIGGADREWSHOW noob
He said "he's got a beautiful load" !!! Freaking classic !
beautiful explosive load
Rex hudler is probably the funniest color commentator. Dude mistook the moon for a planet.
+Joshua Andersen in a way it is a planet.....
Ffboarder4life in NO way is it a planet.
RIP Niehaus
You should make another video of failed home run predictions. You'll have a boat load of content for that.
Blowers is the 🐐
Onyx Illusionzz
Peter Feltis *dave
Only problem is they had Mike and Dave when it was Mike and Rick.
The Seattle one is the best I've ever seen and Niehaus with the great call as usual. RIP
Sometimes you can feel when a hone run is coming. I notice that I often can feel when a strikeout is coming, or a double play. Knowing the game intimately and being very observant to even the obscure things going on helps to form an idea of what will happen next.
Rachel Maddow: "Every single detail nailed. He's like Nate Silver".
*2016 has entered the chat*
That Mariners call had me dead😂
The last one. RIP VENTURA
The Buster Posey call was just amazing. The dude called it just as he did it
Lefebvre also called a Moustakas homer on a hanging curveball into the Royals bullpen on 9/30/2015. Perfect.
"He's got a beautiful load" 😂
It's also explosive.
*I T S E X P L O S I V E*
The prediction in that Mariners game that was covered by Rachael Maddow was a thing of legend. That guy called it to the letter. Even got the 2nd at bat and the second deck right. Incredible.
Commentator Curse and Commentator Blessing.
You choose which that was 😂

5:39 Are we watching the same thing as the commentator? ...
?
"Thats a beautiful load, hes explosive..." idk what do you think im talking about.
That's what a load is, when you're preparing to hit a ball, a load is when your front leg lifts up in order to get the power into your swing.
MarauderHD omg you must be too young to get it
Explosive loads are the best loads 💦💦
Oriole's in the thumbnail... no Oriole's
He put that because he was pointing like he was calling a shot
@@jackson.ortiz34 so clickbait?
@Moist Nugget yup
That’s not really click bait
@@ilikewaffles889 yea.. it is
I was at the twins game and i called miguel sano's homer
I was at the Twins game and I called Mauer's homer following Dozier's homer just before.
u got proof?
Clorox Bleach - Do you comment on as videos as you can? Because I see you everywhere
I called Joe Mauer's walk off home run against Boston but that's not saying much because I call home runs all the time and Im wrong 95% of the time
Clorox Bleach sure you did
5:39 look at that load, that's a beautiful load.
5:40 😂 what a load 😂
Mariners call gave me goosebumps on him calling it
"He's like Nate Silver!" Lol, except Nate didn't get it right, did he?
5:40 “look at that load it is a beautiful load”😂😂
RIP Ventura
5:40 - "Look at that load, it's a beautiful load"
3:18 that was Mike Blowers and Rick Rizzs. I hope whoever put Dave Niehaus on there was fired.
Joey's Lawyer right! And rick Rizzs doesn’t sound anything like Dave Niehaus
4:46 "Every detail nailed. he's like Nate silver." haha. hahahahahahahaha .....*breath* hahahahahahahaha ahahaha
As a person who loves to say I told you so, I really enjoyed this video. Rip Yordano Ventura

Harold Reynolds at 2:32 "OH SHIT"
5:40, "...that's a beautiful load, he's explosive!"
At 2:15 the giants doubled the rockies in everything
The difference between predicting home runs and predicting my mother in law will eat a cow for her daily snack is that the cow is actually in trouble every time.
When analysts are more hyped about a game winning home run then the guy who actually hit it
you'll never be forgotten ventura, R.I.P.
5:40 I say the same thing every time I take a crap
Lol
My sister was in the hallway outside my door for the last 25 seconds of this, she's all like wth are you watching!?
That Mike Blowers prediction was fucking legendary

Best segment Rachel Maddow has ever done

how many topics are there to post? not a lot.
+Evan 677 well why do u start the 17th baseball channel if everything is already covered?
Wtf there aren't enough called home runs to have completely different clips
Man Jay Buhner called a home run from Milton Bradley in 2010 and on the next pitch he blasts a three run shot, it was amazing
Beautiful, explosive load by Donaldson.

Richard Madcow my God I hate that dude
Big Dawg for no reason other than politics I'm sure, she's a very nice person, although I'm a trump fan #MAGA I don't gotta hate everyone that isn't
