Everyone, to me, always looks safe at first base. Then they do a slo-mo rerun and dang, out by a mile. All my life I've been amazed at how first base umpires do it.
On-field with a good vantage point/angle, it becomes easier to tell for the umpire. Plus, sound is also a key factor as the ball generally makes a distinct *pop* in the glove while the foot's impact on first is generally a pronounced *thud*. Sound may become less of a determining factor with crowd noise in some professional settings, but it's definitely used as much as possible with the eyes to make a solid judgement call
Ichiro was a perfectionist. He was once reviewing film after his hitting coach made a suggestion to alter his stance/swing. He said, "You're right!" He was surprised that the coach noticed something he had overlooked.
Cano’s bunting for a double is such a great heads up piece of hitting. To me, something like that is even better than hitting a home run. Especially if you really want to impress your coach. It takes more skill than you might think to bunt like that.
"Ground ball, base hit into right field. Heading for third is Terrence Long, the throw by Ichiro A BEAUTIFUL PEG HE GOT HIM! HOLY SMOKES, A LASER BEAM STRIKE FROM ICHIRO TO THIRD BASEMAN DAVID BELL AND TERRENCE LONG IS GUNNED DOWN AT THIRD BASE! What a throw, 2 outs.
Man what a great swing Jr. had - I remember watching all of those games. Even though we never won the World Series (and well, still haven't), mid 90's to early 00's Mariners were iconic.
Seems like so often in pro baseball the tie doesn’t go to the runner as it is supposed to. Like double dribbling in pro basketball is overlooked. Just a thing that is.

@@SerDunktheTall still... thry get it right much much much more than wrong
They’re incredible.
Yes yes yesssssssss this is my kind of comment
Griffeys swing…. As soon as I saw it I had to check the comments. Absolutely beautiful
I did the exact same thing, it was toooo nice
The accuracy of those outfield throws is pretty insane.
practice makes perfect
Coghlan’s leap over Molina might be one of the greatest plays in baseball history and a great example of why I love the sport.
I was at that game, crowd was just in disbelief
Problem is I think he missed third base.
Damn I remember that game…I saw that live in fact, I couldn’t believe it lol time sure flies 🥹
@@destinationdabz.....I think he did also
Missed 3rd
the pitcher throwing to first with his opposite arm is so insane
That last throw... absolutely insane!!!
I could literally watch Yadi throwing guys out all day long!

That casual behind the back from Bartolo 😂

JOSE FERNANDEZ was a dam good pitcher. I miss him
RIP Jose
He was a druggie piece of shit and he’s in hell
7:45 Jeff Francoeur's arm was so good. The runner didn't even bother getting tagged. Lol
defiantly1 of the best right fielders. Wish he had stayed a Brave
7:45 lol he’s so out that he just gives up and heads off towards the dugout. Even the ump is laughing. 😂
I love Ken Griffey jr’s swing
4:14 one of if not the best games ever played. The Blue Jays weren’t the same after this season
2:21
Manny oh Manny what a rocket.
You need to take a crash course in adverbs …satisfyingLY perfect
that pop up bunt is perfect🤯🤯🤯
that last one such arm strength.
Griffey Jr.'s swing was perfection.
最初のサードの肩エグい
Blue jay fans still talk about Batistas home run bat flip.of course that’s all we have to talk about
And that was the last time anyone ever tried to run on Ichiro. just his presence on the field saved runs.
Thumbnail 1:57
1:57 I remember this play well but I actually don't think Coglhlan touches 3rd base if you slow it down, crazy
I rewound several times, and I still couldn't tell. Nevertheless.... ridiculous play!
I think you're right...didn't even have to slow it down to see he missed 3rd. Good eye!
He didnt
I think he did touch 3rd base with his left foot
イチローのレーザービームは伝説級に完璧すぎて何回でも見れる😂
😅
本当に凄いです('ω')
There is too many unreal videos of Josh Harrison running bases to not consider him the goat of this aspect of the game
Josh Harrison the base running goat? You know Rickey Henderson exists don’t you?
Coghlan, what an awesome dive and summersault but clearly missed 3rd base.
thumbnail: 1:58
Harper getting picked off was my favorite
SatisfyingLY Perfect. You're welcome.
Josh Harrison’s the best baserunner idc
To think baseball fans were upset by the bat throw, even still today.
Nothing better to get rid of insomnia.
I love you Harrison
I completely agree 2:48

It’s because that’s a myth and not an actual rule anywhere in any form.
굿이다 진짜
Good
1:19 That man's last name is "Colon" 😂
i think pronounced like cologne though
@@willmcclard206 it is, it's just a very amusing name

great channel
I love this game! Thank You.
Bro why is Quagmire responding lol.
0:28 was a perfect throw trea turner is just fast
Why me as your thumbnail? Jk it was nasty!
Dixon
1) Griffey’s swing was poetry
2) How do you not include a video of Trea Turner’s smooth-as-silk slide??
Altuve looks safe if you slow it to 1/4 speed.
That one came back even harder than it went in...:D
That’s what she said 😂
サムネ日本人とは思ったが松坂かい!
Nice video I loved it
Who’s better at slides, josh Harrison, or Javier Báez
Satisfaction.
I too 😎
Great stuff! Isn’t a Bunt Double… a Bubble ;)
1:42
三塁ベース踏んでますか?
Why does Bautista look like drakes little bro? Just noticed that 😂
But where was the 3rd baseman after that cano bunt ??? 😂😂😂
1st PITCH IS A
BALL CALLED STRIKE 😂
PERFECT HUH 🤔
Rip Jose

イチローのレーザービームが入ってる!!!!
Sad that there wasn’t one Giants highlight here😢
Bartolo is the best !
0:28 That's the reason why Turner went to Phillies
(How can you not be romantic about baseball) Billy Bean
I’ll play baseball!
Good
Cute :)
Seriously, no replay of the Coghlan flip?
This is how grown men do it.
WoW
Me to
@1:58 Gotta love it when the announcers have zero appreciation for what they're supposedly watching
Ohhhhhhhhhh
The thumbnail pitch wi would be a ball
0:41 he just had to keep his feet on the base.
1:57 Batter ducks.
AT 3:51-3:53 THAT GUY WAS SAFE
yea i watched it frame by frame and I can't tell if the runners hand is on the bag but it quits moving and then the tag comes down.
Yu Darvish is a beast... Astros robbed him
Not the announcer putting minor league umpires on blast like that 😂
肩強すぎやろ
1:45秒,從棒球選手變成體操選手🤣,還成功得回1分🤣
El que anota saltando por encima del cachert no pisa tercera 😢
bro harrison was out you can see the glove scrape his knee 3:11
1:06 라보나 송구 ㅋㅋ
1:41 he missed the bag?
Guy at 2:00 missed 3rd base
My mom didn’t allow me to play baseball because she didn’t like how the parents and coaches yelled at the kids.
I don’t understand why not
1:25 foot out of the batters box?
1:12 if he run fast, he would have been safe!
He was safe at home but if they would have appealed he was out at third he missed the base to dive over the catcher 🤦♂️
3:07 That fucks up the knee.
RIP FERNANDEZ
Can someone explain 3:21 please?
Pucta madres 🇩🇴🇩🇴🇩🇴
0.41 The 1st baseman was just stupid. He didn't need to tag. It was the 1st base.
Just like that pirates-cubs play
josh harrison was lucky that happened
2:26 the ball speed could be 170km. i would have gotten hit by the ball in the face.
